I love this game. In fact, a local Wacky’s restaurant in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada has this. I never hear the start-up countdown at the beginning because it’s always on attract mode. Glad you posted this!
I second this idea. I've been dying to have a raw audio dump of the full Attract Mode loop that doesn't involve the use of a microphone. In fact, there is a lot of "line level converter" listings that can be bought cheaply off eBay. One end wires into the "speaker output terminals", and the other end plugs into a computers mic/line-in port, or preferably an audio interface.

So much processor noise coming through the speaker. Normally you would only really able to hear small amounts of processor noise when at the arcades and playing the game normally but i guess if you was to record the sound directly by hot-wiring the speaker to a microphone port of a laptop\audio recorder or put a mic right up the speaker with the volume turned up along with sensitivity of the mic being all the way up then you can hear alot more processor noise.
It's not just processor noise that causes sound issues, mine has a weaker power supply, during the strobing attract sequence, the voltage fluctuates a lot really quickly and that causes distortion out of the speaker.
@JoshWoakes I should warn you. Going through the trouble of hack-wiring a speaker-level output to a microphone/line level input is not a good idea. Not only is such process neednessly complicated, but there is also a severe signal level and impedance mismatch that causes and could cause a multitude of issues. A line/mic jack (or even a professional audio interface) expects a much lower level of input, so in most cases, you would have to use the combination of setting the mic/line input volume to "1" (or "0"), AND setting the arcade machine's volume very low to the point where the signal to noise ratio is poor. However, there is also the potential of *damaging* the jack and/or even other components in your PC if you overdrive the jack too much. Instead, what you want to get is a *line level converter* box, which contain transformers that fixes the impedance and brings the signal level down to a MUCH more reasonable level. The good thing about them is you can easily find them extremely cheap on sites like eBay, either from China for the absolute cheapest price, or from the USA for slightly more in return of much quicker shipping speed. So, instead of setting your arcade cabinet to something like 10% volume, you'll be able to set it to somewhere between 60 or even near 100% before there is any distortion from the audio jack.
@@AudioTestsNReviews Thanks for the info. However at time of posting that comment, I was just simply giving an example of something you could do to record the sound from the machine. I wasn't suggesting that I would actually try to do that nor was I suggesting that anyone else try doing that. As much as I see hot wiring a speaker to a microphone jack being possible and functional, I wouldn't advise doing it unless you really know what you are doing. If I was to try it (which I won't), I would do it with a recording device that I wouldn't be bothered about if it gets damaged as a result.
