Bit late to the party but just picking one of these up , father's Day present from my wife and kids to go along with the rest of my fleet. Cant wait to let it rip !
Hey man you ever think of doing some live videos? You have so much knowledge be nice to chat live, I'm certain others would too. This is one of my favorite channels! 💯👊🏻✌🏻
My mate had the same problem . The axle bent like my maverick. . We spaced it out with a bigger washer the same size as the hex nut. . It worked for us
Awesome video!!! You are still one of the best out there. My motor still slides out on bigger landings. It was a problem on the v1 as well and the Lock washers on these versions make it slightly better. I wish Hpi would put something similar to what Traxxas has on their 2wd Off-roaders that hold the motor in place.
Looks awesome, good to see hpi finally making a comeback, i definitely have to agree with the control needed for the stadium trucks, my first rc was an rc10t3 which i still have the truck and will be gettinf it running again soon after i get the ball diff slipper kit soon
I'm really glad you took it to the second track. It didn't look like it was hitting the turns at the first place. Is that because of the servo throw or because of the very angled control arms? Good looking truck save for the rims unless they look different in person.
Looks great... and then I see the price. It would be impossible to recommend this over Arrma's 3s lineup. HPI needs to rethink and start with the intro stuff at a sub $230 and build their rep back up. Time to take a page from Redcat and realize you aren't in the same league as the top two.
Great truck but the e-firestorm is still my favourite HPI ST. i found the jumpshot ball cups keep falling off the servo arms and hub carriers- not sure if anyone else has this problem after a crash? if that can be fixed it might be my go to truck:P
HPI better watch their backs! Traxxas may come knocking on their door with a notification of a lawsuit due to that transmission they have on that thing, it looks just like a traxxas transmission.
If these trucks were 50-70 bucks less they might be considerable. But at the same price like the arrma 3s line they are just not worth it. They always had issues back in the day and they still have same ones. the competition on the other hand just moved forward and offer so much more bang for your buck that I'm really disappointed in hpi for trying to sell their old vehicles and not trying to improve. With this attitude hpi is going to sink back in their hole faster than they think.
