I want to thank you very much for the train video, I enjoyed viewing the towns, people, countryside and animals along the way. This is my only form of travel now, in order to view other countries.

Welcome to the swabian capital. If you like more countryside videos you should visit the black forest. There are lovely midsize cities like Esslingen, Göppingen, Tübingen Wörth to visit.
The Line U6 will be extended from Schelemwasen (currently end of line to the south) to Stuttgarter Messe (Stuttgart Fair) which is basically the Airport (3min walking distance). Construction should start 2017 and should be completed in 2019, so realistically you can expect this line go up to the airport around 2021. For that Line the A8 (Highway 8) will receive an extra bridge for the U6. If the Filderbahnhof (Filder Rail Station) will ever be build this would not anly create easy access from the city to the airport but become a hub for train commutes to the south (Reutlingen, Tübingen, and up to the black forest) and to the west (ICE to Ulm and Munich). So this would provide some relief for the new "Stuttgart 21" underground main station in the inner city, which limits growing train traffic in the future (actually Stuttgart 21 was just a gigantic real estate deal to free up expensive building plots in the inner city, from the perspective of future growth in train traffic it is a desaster and will be a growing restrain on the traffic development of stuttgart - well it's called auto city for a reason... most pollution in the inner city of any german major city). So it's a mixed picture - some good ideas and some desastrous ideas for the infrastructure of Stuttgart in the future.

Bevor ich dieses Video sehen konnte, kennte ich keines von der Stuttgarter Strassenbahnen Linie und Ich habe gesehen, dass diese Linie U6 sehr lang ist und sie auch durch einige agrare Gebiete umfahrt, und sie sehr lange Strassenbahnen, die auf diese Bahnen fahren und viele Leute transportieren, hat. Ich habe auch gesehen, dass es auch eine dritte Bahn gibt und Ich kann denken ,dass diese dritte Bahn nutze,um alte Strassenbahnen, welche die metriche Spurweite haben, durch diese Linie fahren lassen,
Das mit dem metrischen System war einmal. Es gibt nur noch eine Linie - die U15 - auf der noch Museumbetrieb mit metrischen Straßenbahnen durchgeführt werden können. Im Regelbetrieb fahren hier allerdings die üblichen Stadtbahnwagen mit 1435 mm Gleisabstand.
Die Museumsstraßenbahn fährt zwischen dem Straßenbahnmuseum in Bad Cannstatt und der Ruhbank als Linie 21 oder 23! Die Linie U6 hat die längste unterirdische Strecke und die meisten U-Bahnhöfe im Stuttgarter Stadtbahnnetz!
you are right bro. Thats Bopser and Dobelstrasse. I can't really remember, but I guess that might be from the old times, when some lines went up the hill from Bopser station while others, coming from the city of Stuttgart ended at Dobelstrasse. This plus the fact that there were never enough space for a depot or something, passengers going up to Degerloch from Stuttgart wouldn't need to walk miles but just a few meters. Then again, we are swabians, we won't change what has been set since ages ;-) Think I'll go have a look why it's that way
Railway uphill before Dobelstraße shares a place with the street. You can see it in the video after Dobelstraße Station (Minute 19-20). Downhill there is not enough place for a station which means the Dobelstraße is more uphill than the street railway shared section.
The whole tram system used to be narrow gauge but in the 1980‘s, the system was completely changed into standard gauge which saw the Introduction of the new High floor light rail trains
Eine Frage, an der Haltestelle Pragsattel sind immer 2 Bahnsteige gegenüber, wie ist das mit dem Austeigen, ist abwechseln mal rechts, mal links oder beide Seiten
Stadtbahn is like a U bahn (metro) Straßenbahn (Tram) and Light rail combined. But Stadtbahn also translates to Light rail. A Straßenbahn is like a standard low floor tram. Stadtbahns are usually High floor light rail vehicles.
W Stuttgarcie tramwaje miały rozstaw 1000 mm. Od lat 80-tych zaczęto zmieniać rozstaw na normalnotorowy. Po pozostawionym fragmencie trasy 1000 mm kursuje zabytkowy tabor.
U-Bahn ist auch falsch. Korrekt wäre Stadtbahn. so hat er es hauch angeschrieben. der Zusatz U kommt aus der Umbauzeit von Straßen zur Stadtbahn um die Linien auseinanderhalten zu können
Allerdings ^^ Schon ein Kuriosum dass es diese Station gibt. Was man sich dabei wohl gedacht hat :D Der Abstand zwischen Bopser und Dobelstraße ist aber auch lächerlich kurz ^^
Ich benutze die Haltestelle Rohrer Weg immer wenn ich mit der Bahn fahre, da ich in der nähe wohnen. In der nähe ist übrigens auch der Betriebshof Möhringen der SSB und die Mitarbeiter der SSB nutzen dieses Haltestelle daher häufig.
David Beck Wo ist da ne Station zwischen Salamanderweg und Giebel ? Auserdem endet in Giebel die U13 und der Bus der Linie 90 (einer der wichtigsten Busverbindungen im Umkreis Weilimdorf und Korntal) beginnt. Beide Stationen (Salamanderweg als auch Giebel ) sind wichtige Knotenpunkte im ÖPNV im Stadtteil Weilimdorf Erst mal richtig kucken bevor man das Maul aufreist....
Wo bitte behaupte ich, dass da eine Station dazwischen liegt, du Kaschperl? Ich spreche über den geringen HaltestellenABSTAND zwischen den beiden Stationen. Vielleicht solltest du erstmal richtig lesen lernen (auch den vorigen Kommentar von "Meine Meinung"), bevor du dein Maul aufreist! Dann weißt du auch genau, worauf sich das bezieht!!!!
