That's so true being a teenager and talking to someone who said their engine made over 500 horse was jaw-dropping today that's most decent engines coming from the factory
And this is stage1 most other shop would be like this is stage4 or 5.. 😂😂😂.. Awesome to see these little monsters getting built and put to the test.. 👍👍 hopefully one day I'll win the lottery and have you guy's build me one..
Steve on cool 😎 dawg king Kong ain't got shiiiii on you so far as engines go God knows I'm to old to be infatuated with ls engines but ah Steve Morris video is like ah Christmas Story 🎄
I would like to see a twin turbo or big single or maybe even Procharged 4.5 or 4.6BS all billet SBC build with a water jacketed block for a Race Week type of build like the SMX they say you can make upwards of 4,000HP and even Shawn aka Murder Nova has a 4.5BS SBC in his "new" Nova aka his NPK car and on the hub dyno at Fuel Tech he made 3,600HP with it through the rear and an auto trans and a pair of 98mm turbos pushing 70psi of boost and he's been in the 3s with it on a good prepped track so realistically he made close to 4,000hp and I would also like to see a stage 3 version of the new LSish engine where you use a OG SBC type block with an LS top end I know you can easily make 1,000hp with a blower with them engines but I haven't seen a radically built one yet
Is that not normally part of the kit? I was going to make a separate post, but it looked to me like the belt got thrown before. Behind the blower pulley on the snout, it looks like the belt was spinning back there.
@@GNX157 yes, that blower has a rear drive unit on it so the throttle can be fed from the front. A front drive unit means you have to have a rams horn or something similar routing the inlet charge from the front side of the blower to the rear. Compare this to say a ODIN coyote TVS2650 from VMP for mustangs.
@65427 that is the LS3 pump with spacers behind it to allow the blower drive as close to the bearing as possible, the normal drive belt is closer to the truck drive or it maybe further. Have to measure that on the next one.
A little extra clearance to allow for expansion square up the main caps by leaving the bolts loose and pushing the crank back and forth and hone the cylinders a little oversized with a good cross hatch even though I'm doing it underneath the shade tree my motors run good on the drag strip
This is exactly what I want to build with a Ford. I had the original Whipple on the 5. 0 I did the math cuz I need a new block and everything. More than I was ready to spend at the time. Maybe a stroker or wasn't sure if I needed a 351 block. The superchargers weren't quite this far along yet I didn't want to have to design too much with an intake Etc can you point me in a direction to put a combination this powerful together for Ford with Whipple?
I grew up on the river in Mohave valley Arizona I've been reading about this situation since I was a youngster what if you took a lightweight small block that could turn over 9000 RPM and put it in the jet boat with a shot of f****** nitrous maybe a 150 shot
Definitely a nice unit! Run smooth for years in a resto mod or street rod that will SCREAM. THAT TORQUE IN A STREET STRIP DAILY IS A STUMP PULLER. I love the 6500 shift. Not really straining the motor at all. LS is great, but people trying to push them past 1500 are just counting the days before the next Rapmaster jam. Aftermarket big blocks to 2,500 then smx all the way!!
@@curvs4me oh yeah, wow, i just want a reliable LS for my classic car and with time put a supercharger on it. Just want to see which combination it brand of supercharger works best and if they break down.
You are correct that it technically doesn't hold anything it's for alignment. However that supercharger is creating a large amount of resistance to Turning. It's very important to have a strong keyway to keep it in place.
So your one of the knobs Steve refers to that talks shit... pretty sure he knows what he’s talking about, although happy to see your 3000+hp builds. You need a O2 sensor so we can measure how much oxygen your stealing!
Fuuuuck commiefornia and the sloth trash hippys that ruined that place then migrated back to thw Midwest to ruin it. The EPA is also registered as a non profit private corp. It has no legal bearing or right as a private entity to make rules or enforce rules. Dont pay shit. The EPA is an unconstitutional joke. and your not required to pay anything which is why they have to demand you sign paperwork with the payment "agreements". they cant make you pay until you sign their contract. Nothing legitimate about how they conduct bussiness. EPA employees should be prosecuted under the same violations to the constitution as terrorists like Antifa, BLM,, ATF, the clintons and obummers.
what does california have to do with this. Cali has its own Emissions boards that works only in cali, with its own standards. EPA is different than CARB. not to mention PFI is in colorado. sure you can be angry at the EPA but CARB didn't do anything here at all. it was all federal lol. not to mention in California if you use a car as a racecar they don't regulate what you do with it at all whatsoever, so they don't even need the RPM act there. if your car is used only as a racecar then they do not care about it.
