That sounds surprisingly nice for a 4 pot diesel I have to admit. And it's good to see a diesel that's been mapped correctly and not kicking out plumes of black smoke.
@@tredfxman not having a ppf/gpf/opf and cats let the fumes out quicker and flow better which means that the engine can run at full potential, things such as a resonator delete and muffler delete also let the car flow better because it’s just a pipe with no obstructions
Love what you done to this beauty ,could you name everything that you had done on the car as I am looking to replicate everything you done to my GTD . Thanks .
is yours with or without DPF ( stock ) ? cuz mine being 2005 doesn t have the DPF just catalytic converter and i left that , took out the middle box and back box now it s much better and u get the owl sound when u lift ( and its a dsg ) , before when in sport it was bad when part throttle now it s so much better not as good as a petrol version would be but still great for a diesel
Where have you got it remapped bro'? Sounds dope, no smoke. What are the figures, the specs, how many HP and NM of torque? My guess around 245 HP and 525 NM?
I’m from the Isle of Man but even where I’m from it still isn’t technically legal lol. I’ve got a mate from Germany and he said every mod needs a road legal certificate or something like that?
I just got my downpipemfor mk6 gtd and also i am gonna do a gti muffler that you cant tell if it is a diesel or not. Cops will not bust you instantly but when they look unter your car you are wasted in germany
Caner Özdemir not 100% sure cause I’ve never timed myself and where I live there is no motorways or long straight roads but I will try find a place today and get a video 🙂
How much did all the parts cost from dark side developments🤔 stock turbo? Suppose you could go 2260 without too much lose in low end spool and make more bhp, also take it it’s a manual and the torque is capped at 500 nm Lovely car and sound
Hey, Nice GTD, I have the same, how did you do to get that sound, in mine don't have sport mode activated, I have ESC sport , I think not the samething? Could you tell me how to do? Thank you
I Don't get all the modifications on your car.. I have a gtd same as yours and your car sounds incredible! All i do to my car was only the straight exhaust... Can you tell all by message what you do in your car? Cheers from Portugal mate!
To put it simply mate I have removed the dpf and the catalytic converter and put a straight through exhaust on, Then I got it mapped. It’s pretty much a turbo back exhaust if that makes sense dude 🙂
Any advice you could give someone who’s bought there first golf with not much car mechanic experience but wants to improve power, sound and performance etc..? Would appreciate any advice.
Ah well, the dpf and cat are gone now so there’s not turning back 😂 and the reason it doesn’t smoke is because the engines healthy and it had a decent map on the dyno and not just a flash map 🙂
pro png No mots where I live and I know plenty of people who have gutted their dpf and passed mot. It goes off emissions so as long as you give your car a good booting just before the test it will be fine 🙂
Not all diesels drop the sut after having dps and cat removed, it's all about the actual health of the engine and the map, need to get the right timing on the injections which will be done by the ecu map
I don’t know if you can help me out. I have done the exact same thing to my GTD but I am getting an error code which is Error Code P048E is defined as Exhaust Pressure Control Valve Position Sensor/Switch Circuit High, Although this valve and sensor was removed with the old DPF and now is fitted Darkside development straight through pipe, I have no power from the turbo and I am at wits end do you have any information on this or had any problems with it? Is your still fitted thank you
Hey mate sick car love the sound! just got a mk7 gtd recently and I’m all new to the car scene my car already has a Gti style split exhaust(back box delete)what do I need to do to get it to sound like yours? I’m guessing removing the dpf and cat is the way to do it?
aaron sweeting a rough price if you already have the rear exhaust would be... Centre box delete - £70 Dpf/Cat gut and fitting - £400ish Or Darkside delete kit - £550 + fitment Dyno map £350ish Or Flash map £250ish Hope this helps 🙂
Hi what was the total cost of all the work and parts, I love Darkside Developments and would love to get them to convert my car. Your car looks and sounds mint.
Louis Knaggs Mines a 2016 Golf GTD 184, both mine and your engines are CUNA (engine code) engines. Yours should sound the exact same as mine if you were to do it mate!🙂
Hello, mate. First, rly nice car. I got few Questions, can you tell me how much money did you spend for all of this, which and from where did you buy the system and exhaust and its got any effects on your insurance? Thank you so much. I got the same car and i wanna made it like this. Thanks again.
Hi mate, in total I spent £1800. The Darkside kit is from Darkside developments online and the exhaust is custom made. Didn’t really effect my insurance but it could be a completely different story for you, all depends who you’re with! 🙂
What sort of power did it make ? I’ve 2014 gtd with one map made 220 with 480n . And nothing done really to that extreme but I’m gonna do it ? Did you upgrade turbo ?
What’s the bhp mate and how much did it roughly cost you ? If you don’t mind me asking I have a gtd just got it remapped I’m looking at a a custom exhaust
@@VAGMOTORS907 nice mare I’d be happy if I got mine to 250 mines is sitting at 200bhp definitely going to look in to it thanks for the reply your cars mint
how can i drive without dpf and cat filters does the police check this or something similar can you explain to me how for a technical inspection when registering and the rest?
Straight piping a gti would sound awful, I’ve heard one and it’s far too loud! A down pipe and a backbox Delete sounds amazing mate! Just deleting the silencers should still pass mot because emissions wouldn’t really change! 🙂
The Multi Purpose Channel ah yeh I suppose you’re right! I do have the resonator delete done already but not too sure about deleting the back box..does that still pass MOT?
Prij .T Yes mate, it should do if you still have the cat in! Your best bet would be to put the question on the mk7 golf owners club on Facebook and people with a gti Will be able to tell you but I don’t see why it should fail 🙂
I’m currently running stage 2, 250bph and 505nm torque and I’m on standard components so I wouldn’t worry. Clutch has shown no sign of slipping. Only thing i have done is the Darkside Cat/dpf delete and low pressure egr kit, straight through exhaust system, induction kit (which isn’t necessary) and a stage 2 map on the dyno 👍🏻
@@VAGMOTORS907 just had my audi 2.0tdi sline egr/dpf delete & map. Ive not got the grunt sound but around 500nm and around 250b. Would you say delete both boxes(middle & back) would give it the grunt or a full system? Thanks
Syed Saif Ali Shah Bhukari If you delete the two boxes you will get more of a grunt but if you want it to sound like mine you will need to also get rid of the CAT 👍🏻
