These cars tuned are seriously quick cars on the road n will keep up with most cars... Low down torque means in real life situations a touch of the throttle n ur offf!!! It's all about throttle sensitivity and low down torque (power) on road, besides you risk getting a speeding ticket n losing ur license with too high powered cars so as a daily driver not to mention the fuel economy you cannot go wrong! Seriously fun to drive all that low down torque makes everyday driving fun and who cares about the figures, it feels quick and surprises many 'quick' cars and with sky high fuel prices you have all that acceleration and economy without breaking the bank! SNM! 👌👐
More to it than that, generally yer they will make between 220 stage 1 and 230 stage 2 (downpipe) but that’s at safe boost at around 1.7 bar. I know a couple of respected tuners that have pushed the standard GTC1549 and GTD1449 turbos on the 2.0tdi’s to 2 bar which sees around 240-250hp, the injectors flow 280hp safely and the pump 250hp so them 2 components were never maxed at safe stage 1 and 2 levels, it’s just the turbos.
My 7.5 makes 235 stage one 😅 that’s with a Revo tune. Plus dynod before and after to confirm gains. All I have is a cat back system and uprated panel filter.
I’ve got a stage 3 Audi q3 tdi, 252hp 405ft lbs torque, Quattro and dsg and although it smokes GTIs my cousins R bombs past me above 80mph, bit optimistic saying it smokes golf Rs there’s no chance
I hear that; probably off launch till a certain speed it might take them like you said, once diesels plateau it doesn’t take much for cars like rs to pass. Best way is we set up a drag race (in a proper environment ofc haha)
@@LiquidityRL my engine is the same as 140hp version, so it tunes like it , thats why it can have 180hp … it has the same turbo, same injectors , everything is same instead of map :)
@@LiquidityRL update now it is 185hp with stage 2 (first one was with dpf, then i get rid of it and now made second stage) .. it should be even more, but my turbo is not making it at high rpm.. need a new one to go faster .. should have around 190-195hp
Stage 2 please explain cause darkside developments done my old GTD and for stage 2 was DPF removal EGR Delete. You’ve just done cat back and a remap 230/240bhp is stage 1 lad.
“Stages” are open to interpretation, rule of thumb and generally speaking “hardware staging” is as follows, stage 1 standard hardware, stage 2 decat minimum, stage 3 hybrid or larger turbo, maps to suit each stage. In the mapping world it’s slightly different, you have stage 1 maps which are max safe values for standard hardware, then you have stage 2 maps which are still standard hardware but with the turbo pushed harder, then you have stage 3 maps which are with hardware upgrades. It’s complicated but interesting..
@@odpaul6736 I know what it is you’re trying to say but you’re wrong. He has a dpf delete and a map to suit so will be more than stage 1 power, the hardware upgrade specifically the exhaust bumps it up to stage 2 regardless..
i thought stage two fails mot because of downpipe. I've got a mk7.5 golf r and I'm scared to tune it to stage 2 because of mot failure. but i heard stage one is safe. stage one will take me to 360bhp. any ideas please
There’s no diesel on this planet that will beat a like for like petrol when it comes to performance, so I don’t know why u try compare diesel to petrol when it comes to performance diesel has great economy but it’s slower and sounds like a tractor 👍🏻
Horrible. And you are not going to gain much at all given that the biggest limitation is the size of the turbo, which makes it very inefficient once you have turned up the boost. BSR tuning did testing on Volvos and found that the DPF is nowhere near as restrictive as most tuners claim it to be.
@@MementoMori-xx5qo that's interesting, i hear completely different things from all sides. Theoretically it should gain quite a lot of HP since there is no restriction (some claim diesel turbos need backpressure to work correctly idk about that). Nevertheless as you say it may be not a lot of a difference, though for me that would not be about the turbo, but exhaust temps. im hitting 880-900°c on a remap with stock turbo and dpf, just w/o EGR which wouldn't matter anyway at full throttle.

@@kaboom-wcsf6419 a bike is a bike and a car is a car, sure a bike is faster, but the look of the gtd in the video, like a golf R, so cool. It doesn't matter to me if a cheap 125 bike is faster. If the dude wanted speed above all he'd get something else, but the golf is so comfy and insulated. I love car interiors, that steering wheel, the pedals, love it. Bikes get you killed easier. That being said, I'll have the coolest car, the sickest off roader, the fast E-scooter, the badass bike, I want all of them.
@@MrTiptonboa not necessarily because the torque has nothing to do with the brakes. Yes as you increase power you should increase braking power but stock brakes are good. Similarity with my car going stage 2+. Can’t call anyone wannabes lad. Best to look in the mirror beforehand.
