Jason also likely has some good stories of his time dealing with customers at 84 Lumber - that would make for some interesting segments in future videos.
I put some of this type of flooring down in an area that likes to flood once every couple of years. That allows me to remove, clean and re-install it. The two things I learned about this type of flooring were: #1 - Make sure the base is completely clean. I have one spot in the middle where a small pebble was missed. The floor has a visible rise in that one spot. #2: Start at the opposite end of where you may have to remove. That way you will only have to remove as much as gets wet. I've used this type of flooring and when cutting around things like toilets and basins it cuts a lot easier if you just warm it by gently heating it with a heat gun Derek lloyd uk
We’ve been using trafficmaster Alure LVP from Home Depot for about 5 years now. I find that I can put the glued edges together a lot quicker than the snap type. At first I was scared of the glue strips and worried how they would hold up. However, so far so good.
Hi David, glad to see all is well. Try and use a miter saw on that may be easier to cut. I haven't installed a whole lot of vinyl plank but the ones I have I was able to use a miter saw without any problems. Seemed to be quicker in my opinion anyway. Galatians 2:21. Enjoy your weekend.
@@DavidFDay yes I think it is too. I claimed that verse as my life verse the first time I read it. I was raised in the catholic church and.... well let's just say that verse just helped to open my eyes to certain things.

How do you change direction when you go around either some cabinets or a wall, and need to lay flooring going in the opposite direction from the way you stared out laying the flooring. Do you have to install the flooring in the reverse of how the tongues work?
You don't change directions you cut the flooring to go around cabinets or when your going from one room to the next you cut under the door facing and slide the flooring under the door facing. sometimes you have to use a transition going from one room to the next.
I wrote this in comments on another guy's video titled Stainmaster, but you seem to be more experienced than he. So I copied and pasted below my comments on his, so some is not applicable to you. I appreciate that you are another Brother in The Lord, also that in The South you probably encounter some on-slab installation. I'd appreciate your comment on my dilemma. Thanks in advance. Paste: As another reader notices he did not use nor even mention underlayment. I'm installing on basement slab and saw strong recommendation to use underlayment for both vapor travel and leveling of imperfections like trowel marks in the slab. I did some leveling and sanding and vacuumed repeatedly to eliminate bits and crumbs. I'm having the fight of my life trying to keep prior planks fixed while I'm installing the next piece. I think the underlayment is causing enough disturbance to keep loosening the whole floor. I'm trying to follow other instructions to install first the short end and then the long side joints of each piece. This guy does several ends, before doing the long joint all together. I've done a couple of pieces simultaneously but again, the underlayment fights back because it's pliable. Now I wonder whether repeated attempts has ruined the grooves in the product. At the end he notices the difference in "tone" . I noticed the same range and unlike some products there is the typical range of color within one box, but also a noticeable difference between boxes. One is tan, the next is gray. So, as recommended in the instructions, mix the boxes so you have a random mix instead of one end of the room tan and the other end gray. I'm trying to be so careful, so I resent the fact that this guy got a good fit, without considering basic stuff like figuring the width of the room (he was lucky it came out even number of planks), not using a metal straightedge, no true square, no shims at the walls to position the pieces, and he didn't wear kneepads (ya he's young, and the floor is plywood). This video will shield you from the hazards you may encounter in your own job. Just my opinion. He was naive and lucky.
Donald Ficken I haven’t laid the stain master on concrete yet, but I have laid laminate on concrete, I watched the concrete for several days saw no moister and I laid the laminate on the concrete floor with no under lament and that’s been couple years and I’ve had no problems so far.I used the under lament one time and swore never again it is a pain. I’m not tell you what to do I’m telling you what I did.
