Hi. I did not include that in the video as I'm not an electrician so did not want to be liable for others following my work. That said, the ring I solder on topic has a thread hole in it. There is a threaded hollow rod that gets screwed in and the electrical socket has a threaded hole. the wiring goes from the socket up through the rod and into the electrical box. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much and greetings from Canada. Its called "Whiting Powder”. It can be purchased at most glass stores; at least where I am. Its used as a cleaning agent to absorbs oils and other materials and is a gentle abrasive.
