I use soldering rods. Your stakes are too short if you're hunting over stubble which would make them less visible. They should be at least 18 inches long. The end of the stakes should be pounded flat like a screwdriver to prevent them from turning in the wind.
Clamp one end of the wire in your vice and the the other end in your power drill. When you twist the wire it will straighten out as straight as the round bar
I'm assuming you went back and painted the opposite side? These look great the only thing I would change is the length of the stakes but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing great job legs go goose hunting lol... 😆
