Stalker Anomaly/GAMMA Is BRUTAL 

Yes I know I didn't use the right beeping noises with the Mig 21 but I like them so they stay. I also know that quest Sid gave me isn't a main quest but I was still tilted he had the audacity to send me that far with a double barrel.

As someone who spend countless hours on the original trilogy and anomaly i can say that you got it all right. The zone is unlike anything else. This is one game where i feel like i am actually trying the survive from the elements instead of playing a scripted line of events that wants to create the illusion that i am "surviving". The zone is out there in the open with nothing to hide and its brutal.

I want Stalker 2 to be everything the original trilogy was, but improved enough to call it a sequel to the trilogy. Gamma, EFP, Expedition, CoC, Misery...all great fan made mods. But not quite stalker. Vanilla Anomaly stays pretty accurate but still not quite Stalker. I have faith the devs understand this.

Stalker anomaly was all I did on my first deployment. A friend had it on their hard drive and said to give it a try. I was hooked.

I spent hundreds of hours in anomaly and gamma and i just cant get enough. True labors of love, you can see the immense work poured into them. I want to thank all modders who worked on these projects for this amazing experience

Having the ability to explore all of the zones of the zone is such a delight. It's quite beautiful in a chew you up and spit you out kind of way.

5:20 Yeah, the fact gamma even runs with only the occasional crash is insane. It's a huge mod pack for a standalone mod that already adds a lot to the base of stalker. a series that is already known for being pretty damn unstable.

Anomaly/Gamma has a main story. In fact a main story and faction main stories. With faction sub stories as well. It just the game does not end when you complete them like base stalker.

i recently bought the og trilogy and just got Roadside Picnic (the book STALKER is based off of) and i already love everything about this little universe, easily the best and most immersive game ive played in so long

I did about 1k hours into stalker anomaly. My pea sized brain couldn't get gamma to work on my outdated system, so I just played Anomaly. I love the game! Can't wait for Stalker 2s release. I'll be buying a new PC just for it if I have the extra money,n

The biggest challenges offer the sweetest rewards. STALKER is one of those experiences that leaves one deeply changed when it's over for better or worse. For me, I fell in love with the game many years ago. I looked forward to the release of Shadows Of Chornobyl since 2004, and when it finally released it was such a pain in the ass that I gave up on the game until patches started coming out. When I picked it up a few months later I fell in love and have never really stopped playing... the zone always beckons one back when the time is right.

Basically... if you're a masochist, play Anomaly.

I'm going through the trilogy right now finished SOC and currently on CS & will do COP next.

Tbh I cant even imagine how insanely frustrating Gamma would be to players completely new to STALKER. I played the OG games, Misery, Call of Chernobyl, Dead Air, Base Anomaly, EFP, and Gamma. I knew all the maps, was familiar with the mechanics, and knew the enemies. It was still hard. As a new player, you have to make you read the FAQs and guide. There are somany game mechanics that involve you dying without notice, that there will be a lot of trial and error.

Se acabar não gostando da Economia de como o GAMMA funciona, lembrem-se que GAMMA fornece tudo o que vc precisa para customizar sua experiência da melhor forma possível (se seu Pc conseguir rodar). Então desative a economia do Gamma e aproveite a corrida.

Gamma is unironically and truly one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had The immersion is unparalleled. But I would not reccomend for complete new comers Play Stalker Call of Pripyat with some mods that bring up to the current year look and feel and if you enjoyed it go ahead with Gamma is what I'd reccomend

officially the 420th like LOL. Cool vid, yeah, I think Stalker 2 will be more like the original trilogy a bit more toned down in scope with more focus on story, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'm hopeful for the future, imagine in a few years when Anomaly using the Stalker 2 engine starts going around. I can only do so much Anomaly due to nerve damage in my middle left finger so holding W for walking/running wears me out after awhile but you're so right, the sense of accomplishment and the exhilarating feeling when you get past a rough part combined with the atmosphere and ambiance with the creepy cool soundtrack is unlike anything else in gaming. Seeing modded Stalker videos way back in the day on youtube is actually what made me really want a gaming pc back then. I've grinded enough in Anomaly to basically buy anything barring true end-game stuff, got an upgraded Saiga12 semi auto shotgun and was actually just using either the SVT40 or SKS with PSO for awhile, however running into my first Chimera monster wrecking me is making me lean towards buying something fairly strong and full auto to pick it off from a distance, the damn thing 2 shot me lol. I basically grinded the hell out of side quests and a bit of starter story quests to get upgraded gear and a decent cash reserve and just now fought the Monolith for the first time. I think once I beat the main story of Anomaly I'll finally start doing Gamma, while similar, with no guns being sold by merchants it seems like an entirely different beast to play

Anomaly is perfect for them (with or w/o GAMMA-go-nuts). 5:32 What's the point of having a foregrip on a rifle if you're just gonna grasp the mag like that? Grasping the mag or mag well with your support hand is only useful indoors, especially if you're operating as part of a team. The idea is to pull your arms in, elbows down, making yourself as compact as possible. The technique is useless outdoors. 10:02 Or a grenade launcher for big game. Or a KS-23. For a fun time, try blasting a chimera out of the air with a KS-23 or a 40-mil launched from a grenade launcher of your choice.

Anomaly/gamma is fun for a few hours, thank God it has a main story, can't imagine myself doing fetch or kill this guy kind of quest for 100 times. Eh, even the story is pretty much a glorified fetch quest. Maybe I'm just not built for this sandbox ass mod

Guys, let's be honest. GAMMA is great modpack for sure, but it feels like Misery on easy mode

There is only one STALKER for casuals and that's the misnamed "True STALKER". Which is a well made game/stand alone free mod whateve, but completely lacks the A-Life, freedom and immersion that makes STALKER what it is.

STALKER has always been difficult game comparatively and buggy at launch is just par for the course with this franchise I highly doubt GSC would make STALKER 2 anything like Anomaly or Gamma. They seem smart enough to leave that up to modders.

The worst thing about Stalker is all the mods. I installed this three years ago and I now have various Stalker games and their mods clogging up my ssd .....on the flip side Mods are also the best thing about Stalker.

I played stalker almost since the first game came out but I don't like the hardcore survival mods. Too much micromanagement for my liking. I always played for the story and the exploration. I never cared what gun I had as long as it could take down snorks and what not.
