I don't have their 76D so I wouldn't know. My guess is this 76A has more midrange, saturates quicker, and more aggressive saturation sound than the 76D. I did a shootout vs the BAE 500C which is their version of a Rev D 1176 500 series if you would like to check that out.

Hello! It is not possible to connect a second one for. You will have to run them as dual mono and adjust both individually.

The blue stripe 1176 was known for being noisy so sounds like an accurate recreation to me! That said, I have not experienced a ton of noise with this and I've owned it for almost 2 years.

Almost 1 year later and it is still amazing! Truly does the 1176 thing and has been on almost every vocal I have either recorded or mixed since getting this. It's a keeper!

Mine randomly stopped compressing after a month and a half :/

@@soap.f For real? Bro that is sad. Cranking the input up and having a ratio pressed in produces no compression? You should post a video on youtube and contact Josh Stam asap!

@@subtonic24 yeah man I’ve tried everything, got in touch with him it just randomly stopped going to zero and passing sound when a ratio or all ratios are clicked in, probably gonna have to send it to get serviced. Which sucks cause I just got a 500 series pre amp from them as well and was hyped to use them together. Hopefully I can get it figured out :///
