Efferding also holds the all-time world record in the raw squat without knee wraps with 854lbs in the 275-pound-class. So there's nothing to complain about Stan's raw squat ability.
I can confirm that I had to shoot if from a bad angle. The tripod was set too high and the camera was tilted down somewhat. We talked about resetting the camera to the side but Stan was in the gym after the main group had left and we didn't have extra hands to change the setup. You can see that I had to step in and run the mono. He's back in two weeks. We'll see what happens then.
I just saw that. Insane! There will be a series of PR's and an attempt at two(2) world records at this meet. Nov. 3rd can't get here soon enough....Nov. 1st for me.........
stans a fucking beast! i would love too see mark bells numbers too though i have no clue what he squats deads and beches, btw how much does mark bell and eric spoto weight???
@dmirza1995 You can't really judge a squat from the front man, it's even harder when the lifter has 32"+ quads. He was just a little bit above parallel. He has another month of training, he'll be squatting 900+ meet time.
It's unreal and any wanker who says that's high really needs their eyes checked. Absolutely amped to see what comes out of this meet. Thanks Jim and Mark for continuing to bust ur asses putting out top notch videos and info.
Freak!! Stan isn't even at his peak yet. He could take this on a 2nd attempt come meet day and go 900+ on his 3rd without a doubt in my mind. He just put up 865 this far out from the meet... and he's not even peaked yet, he's still getting stronger every week. You guys haven't seen anything yet!
yeah it does look a tad high, at least from the front, but not by alot. I'm sure he'd nail it just as easily if he went down that extra 1, maybe 2 inches tops. wonder if he's got 900 in his sights, sure looks like it
The federation that he competes in (and in fact all federations) count knee wraps as raw. This is such a simple definition I can't believe you are struggling with it.
regardless of if its actually high or not, it LOOKS high (as in borderline high, not wilkerson high) due to the camera angle. it definitely appears close enough from the front that the camera angle could be solely responsible for this observation rather than that (the angle) + a slightly high squat. if you dont understand this concept and are convinced your eyes are in good health, you should see someone about checking your brain function.
helluva impressive but dont forget hes using knee wraps now and in his last meeting he went only 10-12 ponds lighter than here without them. i'll allways appreictiate stan as the most raw lifter, not just raw because he doesnt use suits but since he achieved 2226 without any equipment
Wow, 900/605/830=2335 will be my prediction. Assuming he's pretty tired going into the deadlift. Close to Andrey Malanichev's raw record at a much lighter weight.
That's utter nonsense. If that were the case, you wouldn't be seeing the video on here. I see that you've obviously favorited some of Mark's videos, so perhaps you're not an outright hater. I've allowed you this one comment, but my general rule is that you must have videos of your own lifting up for criticism in order to criticize others. If you have no skin in the game, you'll say anything on here. Some of the top raw lifters have already made positive comments. I trust them and my own eyes.
Well now you've proven that you're just an idiot...and you're banned. If you think there's no skill involved, you have no experience at all. Nothing I put here on my channel claims to be "hardcore." As far as I'm concerned, if you have to call yourself "hardcore" you're definitely not. I don't use death metal, blood, skulls and other posturing. That's not my view of what we do or powerlifting in general. What I was talking about was your unwillingness to put your own lifting up for criticism.
