Being this strong even when retired and much lighter than he used to be really goes to show not only how strong he still is but also how insanely strong Ed was in his strongman prime, and may also play a part in why many strongmen, from the guys competing currently to ones from years ago, rate a prime Eddie Hall as the strongest man to have ever walked the planet 💪 Love or hate Eddie the man is still a beast

@@J.c410 actually there are plenty of strongman that even to this day say Eddie Hall in his prime (2016-17) is the strongest ever. (And by that they mean raw power, not talent) Hell even Bill Kazmaier, the granddaddy of insane static power and one of the best ever, has said that a number of times In fact Terry Holland’s and Pa O’Dwyer (don’t quote me on the spelling of his name lol) were saying that very thing in a video just a few weeks ago. Ppl were asking them questions on social media and they were answering them while on the way to...I believe it was a giants live show they were headed to. Anyways, on of the questions was “who do you think the strongest human of all time was” and both immediately said Eddie Hall. Some of the other questions were “best strongman of all time” and of course they both immediately said Big Z “Most physically gifted current strongman” Tom Stoltman “Most physically gifted of all time” Hafthor And I honestly have to agree with them There was only one question that I’d maybe disagree with, and that was “which strongman had the most dominance in one year” (I don’t remember exactly how that was worded but either way I’m sure you get the point lol) And they said Hafthor in 2018. And that is indeed a great answer, but I’m not sure if that actually was the most dominant strongman. I have 3 others that have legit arguments to that title Kaz himself in 1981 Mariusz Pudzianowski in...shit I think it was 2003 where he had something like a 20 point lead And Big Z in, well numerous years lol If anyone can think of any others that could be added to that list by all means let me know Thanks!

Eddie did one of the/if not the single most aggressive & rapid size/strength gains in strongman history. From the time get barely pulled 460kg-ish for the first time in a comp to the 500kg deadlift / 2017 WSM, 400+lbs, etc shape was absolutely nuts. That's why he basically immediately retired & started dropping weight.. He said multiple times that he was pushing so much food, such hard/often workouts & insane "supplements" that he wouldn't have lived too long at that limit... In like a 2yr window he was capable of a 1k+ squat, 600+lb bench, heaviest deadlift/axel press in history, 2017 WSM Champ, etc.

It's cool to see Eddie involving his son in his training, but I think it's high time he taught his kid a bit of how to assist in training. I remember the bench video, and his kid was playfully pressing the weight back down. Even now, his kid wasn't doing the same thing, but that spot could've been dangerous had the lift gone south. Eddie is a superhuman, and just in case his kid gets in touch with mere mortals struggling at half the weight and he uses the same techniques he's been using with his dad, it may not bode well.
@marnixwillaert598

If I had that kind of weight at shoulder height I wouldn't want a kid that age anywhere near it. Is it possible to increase your squat max by 200 pounds in 4 months time. I currently have 8 months lifting, and I can squat 265 pounds as a max. School just started and they gave me a powerlifting class, where the coach told me to just give up because I wasn't going to make it to the team, normally I wouldn't really care about powerlifting and being on the team, but the way he told me that pissed me off, so I want to try and prove him wrong.
