@@chriskim7123 also me even tho I am Italian and I should understand at least 50%💀 i also studied español at school for 3 years 💀💀💀 I had good grades too
The fact that Katy actually listened despite barely understanding anything is so sweet to me. A lot of people would’ve tuned it all out, said “thanks” at the end, and moved on.
@HeyItsTrin she was saying how she is a relatively new artist in Spain and was thanking the viewersfor her resilience and strength in these hard times (I’m guessing she is talking about covid) She was saying that she hopes things improve for everyone x
@@kaden8470 Yep, my bad! When she says resilience, she is talking about their song. I had no idea that they even had a song together, but everything else I said is accurate x
Me when Selena Gomez, Christina Aguilera or some other english-speaking singer release a spanish-language album and i just vibe to it not even understanding a single word and they actually sing about depression, violent reletionships etc
Aitana says: "Well, it's easier for me to speak in Spanish. Basically, thanks to everyone who's watching this live from wherever you are, thank you Well, I'm Aitana for those who don't know me I'm an artist, a new artist really, a new singer here in Spain and so... basically I wanted to thank Katie for everything she's been doing, to thank you for being there We hope you like "Resilient" song, what it talks about...how to overcome ourselves and being positive with everything that comes since time is changing right now. We have to value time, how everything changes so fast. So.... Well... Basically... Thank you That I hope things improve a lot And I send you lots of kisses" I hope I did it good at translating it D:
@@Ronkyort0dox hahahah maybe she doesn't speak in English that much and at the moment just knows some words like "thank you" and stuff. It's really hard for someone who doesn't practice or speak a language with confidence to give a speech. Let's add the fact she probably was nervous, who wouldn't be when talking to Katie Perry? People in general feel more confortable with their native language
For those wondering, this is Aitana (a Spanish singer) thanking the fans for listening to The Resilient. She talks a bit about the meaning of the song and hopes for better times for everyone in the future. “Besos!”
@@gia1448 billingual does not mean understanding every language under the sun. You do know that there are more languages than just English and Spanish, right? If you ever heard, idk, say Lithuanian, you'd probably be in Katy's position too.
I don't think it is fake. She's smiling while she listens to Aitana, the new spanish artist she's been in collab for the song "resilient" so I think this is a proud and genuine smile 😊
@Denise Fletcher yeah im not from Spain and she's irrelevant in here too 😭 i just know her cause she was the most acclaimed pop star in Spain til rosalia entered to the game lmao
She's not a random woman, she's Aitana. The most-streamed female artist in Spain and 2nd most-streamed spanish female artist internationally. She's a big star there, she has 15 multi-platinum hits in just 3 years of career. She makes great music Edit: I don't care if y'all wanna be uncultured and don't care about artists outside of your bubble but your ignorance doesn't take away her success
@@jordandiazfr bc her label hasn't tried to promote her outside spain. She's starting to make it in mexico and other countries from latin america. She has great songs, a couple of them in english. 'Popcorn' and 'Hold' are so good, sound like Meghan Trainor mixed with Sia
HELP i literally drove my peruvian friend to the hospital during an emergency and when she got out i said hi to her mom who speaks no english on the phone and she launched into this huge speech thanking me all in Spanish and i just sat there exactly like Katy 💀
It’s the Spaniard accent too that makes it extra hard T . T My first language is Spanish, and I swear, the first time I listened to Bizchochito by Rosalía, I thought she was Italian or something. I was shocked when I found out she was Spanish, cause I only understood a few words here and there. The girl speaking here I had a hard time understanding at times too because of both the speed and the accent combined.
I’m Spanish and this girl (her name is Aitana btw) speaks pretty slow to me- I MEAN I don’t want to scare you but like there are some people here who speak fast af HOWEVER once you get it it gets easier and easier !! And it’s so cool you’re making the effort to learn Spanish honestly I hope it goes well :DD mucha suerte !!
@@bediuks5809 thank you for the kind words! yeah, i really enjoy learning spanish and so far i can only really understand snippets of speech - but, once i’m almost fluent and listen to more real spanish people talk, i will probably find it easier.
