Re-edit/upload of a 2016 video. Using bulldozers to move around shipping containers, then 2 excavators to stand up a shipping container to make a tower.
I’m new to Andrew’s channel. I love the fact this guy isn’t trying to sell you anything. He just does his thing and that’s fascinating enough. Anyone else agree?
I’ve been following Andrew for over 5 years at minimum. I think I might remember him talking about his clothes for sale 2 times. That was only because they were back in stock online 😄
@@WelderSkills.1 I think what Captain meant though is that he doesn’t “what’s up guys” Segway into a 5 min product push before every video. I’ve only missed a handful and I’ve never seen Andrew push anything, just let me know that it was available.
Pure genius and persistence in accomplishing what he sets out to do. Seems nothing stands in his way he can figure it out if he hasn't already done it. And it doesn't hurt that he's a full fledged daredevil. I have a fear of heights...he has a fear of not tempting heights LOL
72 year old lady in New Zealand. I came across your chennel by accident - the video where you bought a mountaintop. I had no previous interest in construction or machinery but I just LOVE watching all your projects. Thank you! 🙂
Building that castle is most likely what got andrew more than half his subs and raised his channel profile to enormous heights. Incredible feat of engneering and persistance!
I never click on any other RU-vidrs video as I do with Andrew's. I've been here for a very long time from back in the days of Andrew and his friends doing daft stunts on quad bikes jumping fires ect. I've loved watching Andrew progress over the years and the Andrew fan base grow. You should be super proud of yourself Andrew on how far you have come along and how awesome your home looks now.
He doesn't actually live in the castle, although he does have that bed right at the top. I agree that no other channel gets me more excited when I see there's a new upload. In the years we've all been following Andrew, other channels have grabbed my interest, but none of them have the staying power of this channel.
Hey Jesse, I've been watching you and Andrew since the beginning. Just last night I was trying to remember the very first video that you appeared in of Andrew's. Was it "Moving the large building" across the property line? Can you remember? First video I watched of yours was putting siding on a house and one of you cutting logs.
Although I knew everything turned out perfectly fine and that this was filmed many years ago, my heart rate and blood pressure were through the roof around the 8 minute mark! Great work, once again!
that is quite an undertaking to stand the container up. Very good planning, and good operators, ive seen alot of "professional " jobs moving and setting big stuff that didnt go that smoothly or well planned. Truly a pleasure to watch
It's extremely important to have people like Andrew in this world, because he's the one that does everything people say you can't!!!! You're awesome man!!!!
I love this channel and Andrew. He is amazing and talented in all he does. His house fascinates me he most. I can't wait to see it completely finished. And his mountain top retreat; what a spectacular view. Reminds me of growing up in Western Massachusetts.
Drives me nuts! People who say you can't! The only thing that seems to get in the way is money and finding responsible workers who have good work ethics, integrity and character
@@MegaDirtyberty I used to be this way when I was younger. It brings back fond memories and that question if I'm too old to move up north and do some snowmobiling and have a nice little shop
@@billvandorn5332 When you don't have much money to do stuff or if you just want to get something done, anybody can do it if they put their mind to it.
Yes, he said he wanted to paint it yellow, but the stored didn't have enough in stock. So he tried mixing up colors to make yellow and it didn't work as planned :)
I almost forgot how awesome this project was. And it was so neat seeing it transform from just the garage into the castle, then into the house with the awesome view and roof. I remember the livestream when Andrew was designing the roof in SketchUp.
To look at Camarata Castle now, it's hard to believe the amount of work that went into it. Watching the series of many videos chronicling its construction PROVES it!👍💪
Now that I've watched the whole thing, great re-edit. Nice "from then til now" video and will be nice to look back years from now and remember all your hard work.
Thanks for the memories. I almost forgot how I started watching Jessie,s Chanel, I have been following him also. It was cool to see Levi running around too!
Reminds me of moving 6"x6"x16ft structural beams with my 400 bearcat on the trapline for a third cabin build... length and weight can be a pain to move, neat to see some more work behind setting up the castle my dude.
Andrew's 'reruns' are better than most first run videos. It looked familiar when the video started and then I had an "oh yeah" moment. It was great seeing Levi again. Great job Andrew and thanks for sharing.
To everyone asking: in the video description, it says this is a RE-EDIT of the older video. If you watch all the way through the video, you can see the progress on the building after the container was stood upright. Footage that he didn't have yet, until after he uploaded the original video
Been watching Andrew for a number of years and his shipping container workshop build has been a massive source of inspiration for the design of my own. I am in Central Queensland and old equipment restoration excites me and what I need is a high multi bay shop for my projects so I can work in all weather conditions.
@@jamesnm21 Its rare to find a wood frame in Australia (especially here in QLD)- termites LOVE wood lol- and can reduce a woodframe to sawdust in just a year or two... Mine (like most) is all steel- frame, walls and roof... and I bet Andrews (Aussie one, not the yank one lol) is the same... (tiny 'back garden shed' 9M x 21m x 5m high)
@@friday1218 ... it was leaning to the left and the mayor from Pisa called Andrew and told him he has to fix it because there can only be one leaning tower in the world.
Absolutely insane! I've been in the construction business for 20 years now, and even with the experience I have, you continue to amaze me each and every episode brother!!
Fantastic camera work, and editing, AND, if ever there was time to use the expression, “where there is a will, there is a way,” then this was the perfect time. Fascinating stuff, Andrew.
I love watching this, It always impress me to think what a vision you had to do such a house. I hope you have plans to make another one on your mountain retreat, maybe with a larger turret enclosed to keep the wind out, with an awesome view for you and all your friends. I wish I grew up knowing you, I would have loved to help and learn from you. Play hard and work hard.
I would love to see the new garage built like this a double story. machines on the bottom and storage on top accessible of the hill. This is the best house I’ve seen built.
It still amazes me how much changed in those years and how much work Andrew put into his castle AND his property. But that is probably what everyone likes. To see the process of a project getting more and more done. Like Andrew said it in another video, its hard to start, but if you have done the start and see the progress you made then it becomes a bit easier because you have something to continue.
Absolutely Awesome seeing all of this in one video. Thank You Andrew for putting in hours of editing time this must have taken. I know it can take hours to edit my videos' of an hour or more with multiple clips, down to 20 minutes or less. I get tired of the repeated re-look to see how it's going together. Good Job, Keep it up. Maybe over time you could put together an hour or so video of the building of the house to current phase. Speed up a lot since we have seen the actual build videos. I think it would be real cool to watch.
This is why you future-proof videos, the quality is still really good! As well as trying to have a library of organized projects with original footage and assets.
Such an inspiration Andrew, you have got me thinking about the future and seeing it is possible to do these things. I've listened to so many people say its too hard or too much work, but watching your videos has given me a new viewpoint on life. Thank you for doing what you do!
Hey Andrew. As often as you're towing shipping crates around, wouldn't it make sense to build some kind of skid plate attachment you could put on them to make towing easier?
@@adem5762 I was going to say, that's not really how he operates. Hahaha. He'd use them one time and say "that's annoying, it takes too long to put these on. I can throw a chain through these holes and be done with it, so I'm going keep doing that." 😂
You stole my thunder! Yes, exactly- a simple "belly pan" would be better than stark edges digging in. I thought this guy was supposed to be so bloody smart and wonderful- then I see strange, bonehead stuff like this. Idiot Savant? Yes, he's clever- but most is old knowledge, his young audience thinks he dreamed up. At least he seems like a nice guy, just another Ulster County, NY rich White kid. His whole area is- old money, kids with Trust Funds, everything handed to them.
You definitely have a amazing above ground palace! Now you need a amazing under mountain bunker to go with it! Could be a incredible next video series for you. I gess kinda the way you think you might already have one. But in these days with your talent no how and all your machines to do it, might be a good idea. Thanks for sharing your amazing building! Awesome job! 😁👍🏻🏰
Very cool re-cut of the process. So fun to see how far everything has come. Your property has always been beautiful and now is so much more defined. Looking forward to the future progress with the new garage and stuff.
I'm just amazed at what one man can do in a relatively short amount of time. You accomplish a lot with a lot of man hours that most people aren't willing to invest in. Looking forward to the helicopter videos in the future.
Dear Jesus don't give him any ideas .Next thing we no up pops a video of Andrew hanging from a helicopter welding steal girders on the tenth floor of his castle 😳🙈🤣😁😉
There's a video that shows some of it once he got it closed in but yes I would live to see a fill tour of Andrew explaining it all as he walks and films it
Wow, this is the craziest and most beautiful creation I've seen in m'y entire life Andrew I've been watching jour channel for 4 years and following your adventures you are the youtubeur I respect the most I love your work and your life you have all m'y respect I am french I live in France and I adore you I give you all my courage for the rest of your life (sorry for my english )
Took balls my friend to pull of such a task of standing that container on end over the edge of a cliff. You are the man and the same goes for the crew helping you.
As much as you wrestle those containers around, have you ever thought about getting an old trailer axle to stick under them as a dolly of sorts? I made one that's extendable for moving sheds a few years back. Works well. May be more of a hassle on these and hey, you get the drive leveled at the same time! Lol. Take care man!
AWESOME video that allows everyone a chance to see all that has gone into your castle build. Andrew, you are one talented guy and it's always great to see you showing it all with each video you put out. It's no wonder you have so many subscribers. You don't leave out anything when you show your projects being done and that's even your mistakes. Please don't stop allowing us into your everyday life.
I thought it would be just the title story, but was pleasantly surprised by the entire history, presented neatly and concisely. Great job on the video, Andrew! 😃
That was as usual an amazing feature film, and Here I was thinking you built the whole building on your own Andrew? Coming from Construction I knew just how many man-hours there are in a building like this so I always wondered about the story behind the story. No matter what else happens in your life this building will always be a legacy for people to admire and marvel at just how many miles of welds you laid down and the finished product has a visual and tactile feel to it that I don't believe anyone could repeat. As usual, your storytelling is perfect with the exact level of story and this time even more physical tale on how you completed the placement without cranes and other heavy lifting equipment that others would use. I look forward to seeing more
Awesome video. Nice seeing how it the castle was actually put together. A lot of hard work. A bonus seeing Levi in the video too. I miss Levi. Cody is still awesome.
Your roof has stood the test of time. Guess plate steel welded to the beams is an excellent option! I'll keep that in mind when/if I ever follow my dreams of buying a massive property and building a house on it!
