Yesterday I watched a "short" on You Tube in which a Jewish professor stood in front of an encampment at a university somewhere in the U.S.A. for the purpose of putting to rest what he characterised ad false claims of anti-Semitism and violence and intimidation towards Jewish students and supporters of Israel on campus. One name came immediately to mind; Theresistadt. The "paradise camp".

Hmm, correction - in fact the world's highest legal body of international law - the International Court of Justice ... HAS made a preliminary finding that there is a plausible case that Israel may be committing genocide in Gaza. Based on extensive evidence presented by South Africa to a panel of legal experts & voted almost unanimously in favour of pursuing a case. Intention of genocide HAS been stated quite publicly by Israeli spokespeople & was a factor in the assessment of the court. Contrary to your statement, it was noted by the court that though intent is usually the hardest factor to demonstrate, in this case it was extremely easy to find video evidence of government officials espousing genocidal intent. Preliminary measures were ordered to be undertaken by Israel earlier this year & there is little sign of compliance with these. Do you perhaps live somewhere this hasn't been widely reported on?

But I am even more disgusted with the universities and the government's response. On one news site, it said that up to 60% of those arrested on various universities were not campus students. Why is this being allowed to continue?

I am South African. It is 100% correct what you say. I don't think we would ever be able to change their thinking pattern until they have learnt that they are valuable as a person or individual. Up to this point they are taught that their life has no value, unless they kill the infidel, which is us. Like the Bible teaches, we need a to be renewed in our minds.
I had a good friend and teaching colleague, an American, when I lived in China. She hated Israel. We argued bitterly about it a couple of times, then in the end I told her that we would just have to “agree to disagree.” And she agreed. I guess when someone says that, the unspoken implication is that if we are to remain friends, this is just not going to be something we can discuss, as we’re never going to be able to change each other’s minds and will just get angry. It wasn’t an ultimatum though, just a statement of fact. We never did discuss it again, and continued to be friends and even traveled together several times, for the rest of the time I lived in China, and stayed in touch afterwards. She has since passed away. I still value her friendship and feel no bitterness about her. I don’t know what was really behind her hatred of Israel, other than her far-left politics. There were many things she believed about Israel that I knew were not true, but I couldn’t convince her to look beyond her own bias. How easy is it, to radically alter your worldview, after 60 years of age?
