The music, the sound of the water rushing below, the tempo of the methodical climb!

I have never thought to use a micro trax that way. Cool stuff

Works but super important not to have slack in system as it can de sheath the rope in the event of a fall
@nickhardman9462
@nickhardman9462 2 года назад
trax was put before the crux, no? I thought the idea would be to set the static belay from above the crux move? Either way, cool method to pepper into a simul

Yeah i don't get how the micro taxion help the leader witha static belay. Just stops the bottom climber from pulling the leader off.

Maybe if the leader doesn’t want to get pulled off while he is doing the crux moves if the follower were to fall? But yeah would make more sense to put after crux since follower more likely to fall during crux. Maybe the leader knows he’ll be secure by the time the follower gets there? Could be a lot of things

What happens if your follower falls at the end when your topped out?

So much nicer than standing around all day pitching it out. This is the future of climbing.

Future? Simul climbing isn't new.

What a beautiful line, but some of those bolt placements, next to cracks that would take any cam or nut in existence, absolutely beggar comprehension.

How long is your rope lol. thats an 85 Metre climb

They were climbing at the same time. So they could have used a much smaller rope if they wanted.
@Ceryniful

Yea trying to do this in one go on a 100m rope would be a rough ride! I've almost been pulled off the wall on pitch 3 by rope drag from blowing past pitch 2 and trying to finish the climb. If they're maxing out 80m simul i'd be willing to bet there's still a notable amount of drag!

the quick draws they use at 1:45, 3:26 and 6:41 are honestly disturbing
