@@hellstormllc1277 The MSR and medium-sized ships likes the Zeus series can be managed by a single player. you will need to pay more attention to the wear of the components. In addition to this they have said several times that you'll be ableto to hire up to two NPCs. So somehow it's possible.
I'll add to the MSR fan club ;). Just everyone know, you can't downgrade your ship if you upgrade your package. Always buy a base package then buy the ship you want separately.
I'm so glad you can melt ships in this game. It's so easy to get caught up in buying ships in SC. I've been rotating the same money in SC for 3 year's. I used my sub coupon on the hull c but I really don't like it as much as I thought I did. Gonna just upgrade it to a Polaris. Id sadly lose money if I melted the Hull C. Good video new sub
@@JacksSpaceGames yeah me and my org figured out once you get to around $1200 you can get every non hull limited ship in the game during iae or invictus ,Since the prices go up anyway it’s always good to melt and have buybacks.
Bit of a late comment, but I made a dumb mistake when melting a ship the other day. *If you do melt a ship, make sure you remove any event skins or flair items from it before you do.* I'm in the process of shuffling my ships, and melting a few of the ships I don't use to try out new ones. I had an IAE Gladius with the 10 year insurance on it, and I love that ship, and use it a ton. But I also had an old Mustang with LTI that I never use, and I was looking for ways to downsize. So, I melted the IAE Gladius, and used the store credit to upgrade the LTI Mustang into a new one. Got the $90 in credit back, and upgraded the Mustang to an LTI Gladius for $30 of it, netting me $60 to play with. THE PROBLEM WAS... I didn't remember I'd equipped a paint skin on that Gladius in the PU. When I melted it, that skin went along with the ship, and it is no longer in my PU inventory at all. The good news is that the skin is still on my account. I can still apply it in Arena Commander, and it still shows up in my hangar on the SC main site. It just doesn't exist in my PU inventory. It's probably not gone forever, and will probably get reset at the next long-term persistence wipe, but only time will tell.
Yes I think the paint is still in the PU. I usually don’t melt ships. That was just this one time but it is always good to check what is in the package. However, I think, paints are not part of the ship. They are always treated separately. Even if you bought it as a package
I personally would never do that. A starrunner with red metallic best in show paint and name reservation is much more valuable than an F8c with which you only can do fighting. Such an exchange wouldn't be worth it to me.
Yep. But I’m still owner of that paint and BIS coin. I can get the ship back down the road if I need to. I got the C1 and I plan on the Zeus package. I might get the MSR when it’s intended purpose is in the game.
This is a bit complicated, but as I understand it: If you own the ship during IAE and it won a skin, you get the skin separately in your hangar. Alternatively you can buy a BIS CCU during that IAE that comes with the paint attached... However if you ever melt that (even when it's applied) you lose access to that BIS paint. I'm 90% sure that's how it works.
Only been buying stuff incl. LTI since insurance will be a huge money sink according to the devs. There have been multiple cheap LTI standalones and the best part is that LTI transfers to upgrades.
the F8 is a nice fighter but in my opinion it costs too much. With that money I'd rather have a ship where I can live in open space for a while. Apart from this a new Hursa rover is about to be released this year which will most likely be the ambulance version. If this is the case, the MSR will become an even more useful ship.
The msr is possibly the greatest all around ship, Corsair being a close second. It’s versatility is amazing with cargo size and eventual smuggling and data storage, scanning and exploration potential.
True. I will get it as a CCU upgrade in the future and giftable. But first I will try the C1 and the Zeus line. By melting it I have also the Taurus in buyback! This was my goal
Since you needed to put in $60 with new money, I would have purchased an lti token with new money and applied the upgrade to it from credit. That way it wouldn't be account bound and giftable
This ship can’t be upgraded to. And it is always account bound. No matter what. It’s also only for sale until tomorrow m. It was for sale if you found a golden ticket.
That’s what I should have done in the very beginning. But it all started wrong by using store credit. I will work on my fleet for the next 12 months. If I need the MSR in my hangar I will build a nice LTI chain.
I really want to like the MSR, it looks cool handles great. But its like 1/3 vents, getting in and out is a pain its gameplay isnt in yet and its pretty lightly gunned
Oh dear. The MSR is an awesome ship and I know several people who bought the F8C and have already melted it because it was not as good as everything thinks it is. I get that you wanted a taurus but did it have to be your old Taurus? Could you not have CCU'd up from another ship you did not really want?
Yeah. I want the MSR but not account bound. Maybe that’s just me. I hate to buy ships with credit. I made use of my credit by buying the F8C. I might buy back the Taurus and maybe the MSR later. It’s not the end of the world, yet
That's a good way. However, I would like to be able to gift things. I might want to send a ship to a friend or my son. Or maybe for a giveaway! Or sell it? Who knows! What's your favorite ship so far?
@@JacksSpaceGames I think my favorite is the Terrapin. But I enjoy my Defender and MSR. Looking forward to the C1...it might become a favorite...based on flying the A1. It is a bit big. I'm also having a lot of fun on my F8C...of course. 🙂
I wouldn't melt it if the ship has LTI and was bought with real cash. But that's just me. I melted a year and was juggling this 240 credit for a while now. The F8C is anyway not giftable so I used it for that one. That's the only reason. We might see data running very soon!
Please don't melt your titan. Depending on you budget I would upgrade to a different ship like the Cutlass Black Or Spirit C1. Also, wait until next week. it just means you wont have lifetime insurance. thats why usually people buy concept starter ships and cheap land vehicles because they have lti. They called them lti tokens and if you upgrade from them the ship you upgrade to retains that lti. Who knows if it will really mean anything but its another thing people like to do.@@JacksSpaceGames
I know what LTI means. But as you mentioned correctly we don’t even know what that means in game later. However, CIG found a cool way to promote LTI tokens and CCUs lol
@@JacksSpaceGames Aye we don't know too much about insurance in SC yet. Though anyone coming over from Eve online will appreciate it. That where it got its initial hype I think. My take is to get LTI on the ships you are likely to use and lose most often. If possible get LTI on everything. Won't hurt to have it and it beats losing a ship you've paid good real money for when your 6 months runs out and you forget to renew. AJ
