Utterly amazing. Especially the level of attention you brought to things like med access and even air shields. That is the kind of pre-visualization CIG you should do (before releasing ships where all windows are obstructed). Thanks for your work.
we need ships to have energy shielding for exterior doors and hangar bays similar to the prowler honestly its way cooler and more space efficient then having an airlock, would be nice seeing it on more ships, especially luxury ships/expensive ships
It’s something the org I’m at has considered, maybe not build a base around the kraken, but ground it near where we are gonna build the base, it is a decent enough deterrent and can maintain security while the base is being made.

@@bobmcdermotte305 Cutlass Red only has a tier 3 medical bed a org flotilla would need a ship with at least a tier 2. Currently the Apollo or Endeavor Hope which are planned to use T2 and T1 beds seem to be the best bet paired with ships like the Cutlass Red to transport people to these ships that can treat more severe injuries. Honestly thinking of picking up an Apollo next chance I get or a Endeavor Hope potentially since the Cutty Red seems to be just a middle man.
I can imagine a Kraken converted to a prison ship with landing pad/elevator space for 4 Hawks and either 2 Cutlass Blues, or a Cutlass Blue and a Mantis or an Avenger Warlock. Inside, there's plenty of space for holding cells.
Also, could a Prospector fit on the 2 medium landing pads? If so, then the Kraken would make a great mothership for a mining operation. An Argo MOLE can fit on one of the smaller landing pads, could it? Inside, there's definitely space for a refinery, cargo storage, and since it can land on a world, ramps and hangars for single or Dual Seat ROCs.

mining? does this look like a mining ship? how does this help a mine fleet? carry them there? shit pilots can fly there on own faster easier. i think this ship would hurt any industry type fleet mine fleets dont need carriers so wheres the perfect come in?
@@kevinalmeida7159 Flopperstein is absolutely correct, and how I plan to use mine. No, it is not a mining ship, what it is is a mobile space station. Operating a deep space mining operation, with an Orion or two, MOLEs and Propspectors, you will need a significant support infrastructure. You will need medical, repair, refuel, resupply and supplies. You will need cargo capabilities to take ore to market, and bring back supplies. And you will need a base to support and coordinate all this. To put all the smaller ships on when you move from one system to another. You have to think of things when we have many systems, and travel times extend into days or longer to reach your destination. In our one system now it does not make sense, but in the future it absolutely will.
@@caractacuspotts680 to each their own use what you want for what you want is my opinion but the notion that its perfect for mining hahahaha requires my response to such a silly statement. perfect is right tool for the right job and kraken is not the best tool though you and or many may use this tool for mining. what is 1s budget maybe the odyssey is better or the liberator? maybe what i believe is the miners best tool.... the starfarer but regardless you do you just make silly statement and i will say how silly it is

Hello, I'm thrilled to see that you've created a model of the Kraken. I'd like to incorporate the sea monster into mods for other games, but I've noticed that the current ship models lack any textures; they're all white. Could you please sell me the textured Kraken model? I really love it for my spaceship!
Video does a good job showing off the various points where the ships land and dock. Other videos are not as close to the ships hull, and yours shows off the detail better IMHO.
Curious to see how take off and flight in atmosphere works with this ship if it’s laden with other ships on its external pads… assuming they may need to simply fly out of atmosphere on their own and re-dock with the ship in space. That would be a bit of work but would honesty look really cool and basically be a built in escort.
starjump makes these ships a little nicer but good job my only suggestion is make all the ships that starjump hasnt and maybe can promote each other now if you said starfarer is perfect for mining then i would agree 100% with its large hold refinery refueling
Fantastic job! You seriously need more subscribers! Only problem I have is the two internal hangars being separated, I'm pretty sure those will both be one whole big hangar.
Man, that was well done. It really provided a great scale of reference and insight into the layout. Did you extrapolate what is behind the doors on the XS landing pads and the air shields? I have always wondered what was behind those doors. With the people and ships and focused perspectives, this has provided me with a much greater understanding of the ship.
