@@sashimi0003 All of which is from scratch, they aren't even going to use directX as soon as their gen12 renderer is done. Blew my mind when I learned about that
Can’t wait to see some unique landing sites to support some of these designs, really hoping we get a star wars feeling place to land cause how neat would that be
This was nice. Can you do one with both SC ships next to real world ships and planes? It would be cool to see how big these ships compare to real world counterparts, it would also be easier to visualize the scale.
the biggest ship ever constructed in our world was seawise giant lying at about 450m. So, more or less comparable to the javelin in this video. I'll say, the super dreadnought class ships (retribution and kingship) are wild. Imagine seeing a literally 3 km long ship. I mean, what the fuck?
The Kingship is still the old model, which is completely different from the new one. The Pegasus as far as I know is either forgotten or dead, even if they do restart the development it is almost guaranteed to look different.
Polaris is getting a pretty significant size increase according to CIG. 210 meters long, upscaled to a light frigate. The ship is gonna be bigger than the 890
@@BlackPantherFTW Haven't heard 210 corroborated anywhere else yet, only that it would be closer to 200 now, but not more. Without naming names, is your source an actual CIG employee?
Great video. I keep reference it... but did the redeemer get bigger since they did the rework? It seemed a bit bigger when walking around it during invictus than what is shown in the video here.
God damn, imagine a full fleet engagement with those capital ships, from their hangers emerge dozens of "smaller" crafts and then dog fight each other.
Server Meshing definitely needs to be in. The size of those last two ships would take all the players that can be held in one server now. I honestly did not think they are getting that big. Looking at the ships we have now those last two ships hold more capacity than the space stations.
I mean they could do a large interior in the bridge area. And just have elevators to go up to it from the hangers. I would hate to fly a ship that large with a full interior. You would need a damn online guide just to get around lol
These are fantastic to see on display in such a way. I noticed at around the 34 second mark you show just one MPUV at 9.3m and do not specify that it is the personnel variant as well as not showing the cargo model which is 9.5m. Something to add for the next iteration perhaps! o7
Lol for starters a king ship will be a system event so you will have back up. But if your in an aurora you may have better ods going on board for some hand to hand!
If you are a beginner, you will get weaker targets because you will be a lower rank in the Bounty Hunter Guild, Hurston Security, Crusader Security, ect.
@@Metzwerg74 Those games would have to either develop their own tech to copy SC or take the tech directly from SC, which I don't see happening before SC is finished.
think about it: the largest ship Ive been on, crewed and flew was the Hammerhead, and it had full useable interiors! ED's biggest ships are a little bit bigger than the Heammerhead, but I'm stuck to the seat
I have not logged into the game in over a Year my bro and I got in early I wound up upgrading to the Freelancer DUR, My Brother upgraded a few time now he has a Polaris if I'm not mistaken & maybe one smaller ship. I could just imagine being in his Carrack just the fuel alone is going to be crazy.
I love these, but sometimes the order/naming doesn't make sense to me. For example, listing 100i, 135c, 125a instead of 100i, 125a, 135c bothers me, as does naming the Reliant Kore simply 'Reliant' or the Ares Inferno 'Ares'. I know these are minor things and they won't stop me from upvoting you, but they do slightly bother me.
Yeah about a minute in I stopped thinking about the ships as each one after to be bigger, and started thinking of it like size classes. Made more sense to me that way
@@Epsyk yeah but there are videos like this which pull up the scale between a human and a Death Star so it’s not something that wasn’t done before. You’d lose sight of the smaller ones but still see the bigger ones move up the scale to give an overarching perspective, other scale videos do that, look them up.
A Super Carrier fir the UEEN at about 3600 meters may not be that bad of an idea, a strike and Assault Cruiser variants will be nice also the SC at 700-800m the AC 500-680m just a thought
3d pnintin enthuziast wondering - is there any places, where those models downloadable in 1 archive? :) Except of encripted format from game directory.
@@SnowTerebi there are several photos of it available, the best one is probably the one in the sq42 roadmap update from i think june? It does not even look the same, it has giant demonic spikes now lol looks amazing.
