Note that, YES, I prefer ballistics for PvP as I keep very close to my targets. Most people prefer laser repeaters for PvP because of the longer range and faster projectile speed, I just don't like laser repeaters in general because of low alpha damage. So by all means, run whatever loadout you want whether it's lasers or ballistics. The "best loadouts" in my video are JUST MY OPINIONS, MY preferred loadouts, nothing more. Use it, don't use it. Oh, and I forgot the Reliant Tana, not that it would be in my top 3, but anyway. I don't do much combat but my favorite is the Buccaneer. I just love the big engines and the Drake esthetic. Brrrrt is so fun too.

The Aurora LN was also my very ship purchased in 2014. I very much like the view a pilot has. Lets hope we get a South African server by the time this game goes into Beta. We have AWS instances in Cape Town, so it should be possible.

For me any fighter that can hold ad4b guns is my favourite. PVE or PVP, ad4b wins mostly. For coolness and heart i go full Talon. This ship makes you feel even more dangerous hehe. After this video i will buy and test the Arrow and the Blade ! Gladius is somehow boring for me. I like to stand out of the sheepheard.When all say "this" is good or "meta", i try to come up with somthg different !

I love running ballistic cannons on the Hawk, feels so good, so much burst. Also strafing bigger ships or flying through a group of fighters with the emp is so fun. Too bad I currently just just get a black screen foe several second when I use it, makes it very dangerous 😢

Edited as others have mentioned! The Tana is pretty good due to all the firepower. Also the fact it has a bed and 2 seats!

Last time I tried the Tana (YEARS ago) it was pretty terrible, but a lot of people say it got a lot better so I'll definitely check it out again sometime!

The Arrow with a second Shieldgenerator would be dope... but my biggest hope for the future would be a mirai lightfighter... fury style but a little bit bigger 😅

is there any light fighter currently in the game who has cargo room? (and maybe an upgrade to the avenger titan)?

The Aurora LN is a decent option if you're looking to do delivery missions, though there aren't any light fighters at the moment with more than 2 SCU cargo space, which is pointless for trading. Avenger is cool if you can afford a bit extra.

If you're specifically looking for a light fighter, any one of the top 3 will do. But if you're looking for the absolute best ship overall and expect to have PvP encounters, I'd say either a Gladius or F8C if you can get your hands on one. As for BIG targets, nothing beats an Ares Inferno (the Ares Ion is just as awesome)

i am eagerly waiting to be allowed to pledge for the INFERNO.Started to play SC on 20th dec 2023 but I already own most ships ingame. Inferno gives me ueberchills as old flight simmer and as a veteran that played Roberts games in the 90 s@@RugoGaming

I love the Sabre, it's super fun to fly, but it's been nerfed pretty bad so not as good as it used to be I'm afraid.

Yeah I completely forgot to add that one to the list, though it wouldn't have made my top 3. Tried it years ago and unless something has changed, it was one of the worst light fighters of the bunch.

@@RugoGaming :D it is maybe the worst but: it is very cheap, has many guns, many many missiles, cou can fly with 2 people, you can bedlog and it is somehow cool looking.

M50 is a racing ship, so are the Razors. Avenger is a courier and I did cover the Talon (Shrike version is just some paint job and different loadout compared to the normal variant)

Banu Defender, a light fighter? Excuse me what? Its got the range and crew amenities of a heavy fighter, with the defense and armament of a medium fighter. It isn't super nimble either. That thing has no right to sit in a light fighter comparison xD

The Khartu al is so awful. 😢 The low firepower and size are two many downsides. Tiny pew pew guns for what?

Those are 2x size 4 guns, not so tiny. Very fun ship with much better firepower compared to some of the other light fighters on here. Throw some ADB4's on there and see if you still think it's awful :p
