A True Gamer Guide for Star Ocean: Second Story/Second Evolution
This video walks you through the basic steps to pickpocket the Mischief Accessory, which is an item that allows you to basically receive free items just by walking around with the accessory equipped. Some of the items you can receive in this way grant free level ups, so it's a good accessory to get and this is the only time (to my knowledge) you can get it.
To summarize what is said in the video, you basically need the Bandit Glove equipped, and the Pickpocket command available. When you visit the town of Clik for the first time, start the "Private Action," go to the middle of town, and you will find Filia ranting about the town's doom. After the scene is over, pickpocket her. If you fail, reset and try again.
