Removing his limiter made him an absolute beast of a final boss. To me, still in the top 3 hardest boss fights I've ever had. And back then, information on this game existed in strategy guides...
Great game! Brings back memories. Although it has my favorites on here, my moves and strategy is much different: Rena: Healing/Revive Skills Only Claude: Mirror Slice Only Ashton: Tri-Ace Only Dias: Illusion Only And I just let them all rip. This and the Incarnation of Devil are my best tracks of music.
I beat him about a week ago. I basically went on a grind fest with Claude and got him to lvl120 and raised a few levels of my other party members. Even then it was still easy for him to kill me if the battle didn't play out fairly close in my favor. Just ridiculous, but I'm glad it's over haha.
The 4x bloody armor trick is only needed if he opens with a 9999 to all earthquake and with his limiter on by default it only tops 6000 damage the 9999 is with it OFF. But I'll never have Ashton join and a few hours after I had Opera join I had her Healing Star at 999 uses so I stopped using Rena after healing star hits the 999 uses for the rest of the game.
I think the bosses will get harder depending on level because the first time when I had plaid S.O the boss wasn't so bad at like 130ish or so, but at max it was a completely different game. Like someone said before, it was truely an epic fight.
oh shit, you make it look easy xD. for me it was an ordeal....i defeated him like 5 mins ago. my party was lvl 90 and i was fighting with claude, rena, leon and celine. in my case was luck based. my victory depended on what move was he gonna do next. if he decided to walk next to my team and use divine wave, it was game over. anyways, he's dead and im happy haha
When I was younger playing this Dias was just a badass that put his self in this game, didn't know he could join the party on the other hand I only made it to the 4 or 5 boss fights that's back to back with hardly anything to heal or restore my magic I really want another shot at this game, PS3 kinda stink playing some PX games though.
in the beginning of the game its a bit slow cause your overpowered, but after that yes most of the boss fights are insanely epic, i was max level here and he was still pwning me
Bloody armors are the ONLY ones that Make Earthquake (Stone Rain in 2nd evolution) do 0 damage else it will just kill you OUTRIGHT 9999 damage without those.
You could try to blood armor trick. Basically it saps your health overtime but your 95% invulnerable to all his attacks. I used the method where I had 3 melee fighters basically bouncing him around so he doesn't get much time to attack.
I used 4 bloody armor users not 3 as in Claude Opera Chisato and Dias/Bowman even at lv 255 Limiter OFF FORM even on earth mode has EVERYONE of his attacks do 9999 per hit which is why Ashton SUCKS.
At lv 65 with bloody armors you won't have enough HP you'll barely have 5000 HP and bloody armor users SUCK without at least 8000 out of 9999 HP with 5000 HP Opera will be using Healing Star with 4x Bloody armor users every 2 to 3 seconds. At 9999 HP you only need to use Healing Star like every 10 to 15 seconds instead to keep your 9999 HP above 5000.
This game was pure fucking chaons. Everybody screaming abilities. Running around. Bosses just spamming AOE damage for half your HP. Rena screaming for faeries to heal your ass. Some sort of fucking 2d yet 3d bullshit so its so hard to tell HOW you are attacking. What the fuck
You lasted through the hell that was Spicule, but can't get through this battle? Then again, I had Precis or Chisato (based on two different playthroughs), Opera, and Claude with Rena being the main character. Alpha-on-One, Parabola Beam and Tear Gas/100,000 Volts are awesome!
I'm pretty sure the user used a cheat engine. I had Opera, Ashton, Dias, Leon, Ernest, Bowman and Precis in the same party before. Kicked Claude out of the party and kept Rena, but since Claude was the main character, he was still on the screen, but not in the party menu. Thus, I had a total of 9 people. However, the game would crash during the beginning of a private action because the game can only hold 8 people. :(
