I mentioned in the comments of the Soldier Blade review that I hoped this would be covered. Good to see it here, and so soon. The way PC Engine imports are in terms of prices, I wasn't assuming anything. While I prefer the more serious Soldier Blade, this game is just so nicely put together for what it's trying to be. That intro is so good. I always loved how they let you play as a PC Engine. Next time I play this, I think I'll have to play as Bomberman for a change. Again, great seeing this reviewed on the show. It would have felt incomplete without this one among the other Star Soldier games on the system.
This was quite the fun spin-off to play, and I was fortunate enough to play it via the PC Engine Best: Soldier Collection for the PSP. Good stuff. Really good stuff.
Great game! I didn't get a chance to play this one on my PC Engine Duo R but I managed to buy it for the Wii when it was available for the Virtual Console.
The katakana for the last syllables is the same in the Japanese names for "Star Soldier" (so-ru-jaa) and "Star Parodier" (pa-ro-jaa), so the end of "Parodier" is supposed to be pronounced and spelled like "Soldier".
I've read that it was considered to be one of the easiest game of the genre but if the beginning is very easy it gets kinda hard during and after the pyramid stage for me, it's still super fun.
Fun,fun, fun at least that's how i see star parodier. This shooter doesn't offer a challenge but it's straight forward game play is enough for me.Speaking of parody style games ever play splatterhouse wanpaku graffiti and dracula kid for the nes/famicom,spida1a ?
