So nice having star ratings that come out this fast. It was always excruciating waiting nearly a full calendar year for those OTHER guys to get theirs out

I'd hate to be those OTHER guys trying to keep up with Steve and Larson getting these Star Ratings out as quick as they do!

My ratings: Women's WarGames - 4.5 - Fun match with a good story and great spots. Gunther vs The Miz - 3.5 - The first two thirds were nothing special, but then it got interesting. Good character work. Santos Escobar vs Dragon Lee - 3 - Fine match, but short, and it didn't advance the story as you said. Rhea Ripley vs Zoey Stark - 3 - Again, it was fine, but it didn't have enough heat. They had a tough spot and I doubt it could be much better. Men's War Games - 4 - Great in-ring work with good spots, great ending, booking was odd CM Punk Return - 5 - A return that seemed impossible a few years ago, and they kept it completely secret. The OTHER GUYS ratings prediction: Women's WarGames - 4 Gunther vs The Miz - 2.75 Santos Escobar vs Dragon Lee - 3 Rhea Ripley vs Zoey Stark - 2.5 Men's WarGames - 4.5

I know it's big shoes to fill but when I saw dragon lee and Santos I was hoping for like a wcw cruiserweight division style match. Fast paced offense from dragon lee and the self-proclaimed King of Lucha Libre keeping step. Missed opportunity to really show off the style on a huge stage

I agree they should've gone with LA Knight in WarGames. Cody helped LA Knight on SmackDown, it would parallel the crossover teammate move in the Women's WarGames (Becky is on Raw but joined SmackDown superstars, so a SmackDown superstar should've joined Raw for the night), and honestly, did it really do anything for Randy? I know fans love Randy, and I love Randy, but everyone loves LA Knight, too.

I agree so much with Larson and his take on the War Games match. You're essentially spinning your wheels for 30+ minutes until all the participants come out to officially start the match. We've been blessed to have at least one War Games match every year since 2017 including NXT & AEW, but I think we should shelve it for the time being and bring back the traditional elimnation tag.

I completely agree with Larson about Drew. When he entered the cage, I thought that's exactly what he was gonna do: go after Jey and ignore everyone else completely. That would have made more sense instead of him fighting Judgment Day's battles for them when he made it clear as day he doesn't like Judgment Day and wasn't part of their group. Like Larson said, his motivation for even being in this match was to get his hands on Jey.

What they could have done is when Randy didn't show up, LA Knight says fuck it and decides to join Cody's group. Then when he gets to the ring or in the middle of the actual match Randy does show up and like who's this LA Knight guy, causing a LA Knight and Randy feud Edit: actually thats a bad Idea because Randy would be so over he'd basically kill all LA Knight's momentum

Your guys' star ratings are normally the best and the most NOT one sided ones. No one is playing favorites here... unlike.... THOSE *OTHER* GUYS.

To be fair once they announced Randy was coming back in the War Games match we knew it was all going to be about Randy as it should have imo you can rebuild Judgement Day easily enough but you only get one return for one of the biggest stars you have

Also the way judgement day and drew all stared at eachother at the beginning was very strange

I personally don’t think The Judgment Day looked inept, the other team was just working as an effective team while Drew disrupted The Judgment Day because Priest wasn’t an effective leader, and they didn’t have a plan for Randy. Those other guys won’t get their star ratings in till the start of December when this year is almost over with. Love my star ratings fresh & hot just few hours after the PPV/PLE happened! That’s cutting edge wrestling reporting right there! The women’s war games match was match of the night for me, 5 stars ⭐️ all the way for that match! So many great moments in that one, Bayley being the MVP for DMG CTRL, Beck & Charlotte coming together, the fans wanting tables & Auska bringing in a table when she entered, Eyo Sky launching herself from the top of the cage in a trash can to take out the other team! It was a great match

I don’t personally think that the War Games gimmick itself is the issue, I feel like it’s the fact that we’ve seen it a lot now and it seems like it will be an annual event when it shouldn’t be. It should be like every other gimmick match and not have a whole show revolve around it. It shouldn’t be like “Survivor Series is coming up. We need to have teams of 5 start feuding so we can have War Games” which is how it kinda felt this year.

I think you guys miss the point of judgment day at least how I see it. No one in judgment day is a winner, thats why it formed in the first place, they were tired of losing. They win because they cheat and help eachother but when they cant outsode of Rhea, they're weak. They used this spot to knock them down a peg and show them that they arent winners. Treating them like a joke in that moment was the point and will lead to the tensions that are already obviously building with Priest. Also you focus way too much on seth being the one to DDT Drew. It was established Drew was beaten by that point so whats it matter that seth is smaller?

I really liked this PLE, but I totally agree that Judgment Day looks absolutely weak after it, and it will be hard to recover from this. The last weeks turned Finn from a believable Main Eventer into a Midcarder and failed to do anything for Priest. On the other hand, it turned Dirty Dom into the workhorse of WWE and a fantastic heel, and created the ultimate over Mami character for Rhea. I truly hope that the Judgement Day will recover, but I highly doubt that they can get Priest over after this. Which is a pity, because Priest has everything that a star needs.

We probably won’t hear from those OTHER GUYS in like a week or so! This is why I turn to Friendo Club Wrestling for the only real star ratings in the business

As for Miz and Gunther, if you watch Gunther after the pin, he sits there looking at Miz with an expression that read,,,I never expected such a fight from Miz. I'm sure he has a little respect for him now. Check it out. 👍

On CM Punk's return, I think the biggest surprise was that Dave Meltzer didn't follow it up with something like "I knew CM Punk was returning a few days ago... but WWE asked me to keep quiet about it" For the men's Wargames match: if Damien Priest was thinking of cashing in and it was Finn and Seth in to start, why didn't he enter the match next with the briefcase and a referee in tow? He and Balor would have had a little over 2 minutes with a 2-on-1 advantage to beat on Rollins and then cash in.

One thing I’ll say about the mens war games match. Although I agree with your assessment, sometimes the moment and the occasion is allowed to override the story. I dont think its anything they cant bounce back from or even set them back. I think drew leaving was a work to capitalise on just any reports of potential dissension now with the return of cm punk. Use cm punk’s strongest skill for their gain. Making the headlines

Oh absolutely Miz and Gunter needed more time also Dragon Lee vs Santos DEF needed more time both felt like reg Raw/SD matches .. Also Dragon Lee is starting to feel formulaic an i Hope i'm wrong cause his unpredictable lucha style and they def need to let them WORK their style

Totally agree with Steve about the Women's WarGames Match. I thought the start was a tiny tiny bit shaky, but after we got to Shotzi, it was just go-go-go. And I was smiling like a goober the whole way through the match. When Shotzi ducked the Asuka Acid, everything after that was just Oops! All Heat! Great match. Probably my favourite. 👍

We barely got “the other guys” star rating for Full Gear a week after it’s already been done but we have Steve And Larson’s star ratings less than 24hrs after the show The superiors star ratings Ok now my star ratings for everything Women’s War Games: 5 Stars - I felt like this was a great war games match with the events leading up to the bell being rung really mattering. Bayley being MVP with her really trying to do everything for her team to win only be the one who takes the pin will be great for the eventually face turn Gunther vs Miz: 4 Stars - I think the match was very on point, if they had abit more time I feel like everyone could be convinced that Miz had a chance to win since he on paper atleast makes a very convincing opponent. Santos vs Dragon Lee: 2 Stars - To me it was just an average match nothing really special and not progressing the LWO story which hurts the match for me. Could have been a TV match. Rhea vs Zoey Starks: 3 Stars - A good match only mainly hurt with how everyone wants to cheer Mami. Zoey had a good outing for her first 1 on 1 match with Rhea but of course it was already written that Rhea would win. Men’s Wargames: 4 stars - The early parts of the match were interesting but as stated by Steve And Larson the whole match changed once Randy returned and flipped everything around. I do think they were trying to tell the story of Damien not being fit for leader by costing the match just so he could win a title but didn’t really get showed CM Punk’s Return: 4 stars - They got everyone even the people who work for the company. If he had his old WWE shirt on would have looked a lot better. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed and hoping everything turns out ok

5 stars for the women’s match is so deserving! Glad that you guys acknowledged it was match of the night, cause it kinda felt overshadowed by the returns.

Women's WarGames 4/5 - By far my favourite match of the Event. I thought the beginning of the match was a lot more shaky than the Men's WarGames, but the way it ramped up and the pace it kept from the middle all the way through the end was awesome. I'm not a big fan of Suicide Dives and High Spots in general, but if you're gonna do it, I actually prefer you make a meme out of it or go all the way so I really liked the Trash Can Dive a lot 😭The last minute or two of the Match was rad. When Shotzi ducked the Asuka Mist and then Bianca sprayed her with the fire extinguisher was amazing, and everything after that was just perfect. 👌 Gunther vs Miz 3.5/5 - I think it could have been longer, but I'm fine with the length and I was a big fan of just how much the crowd was rooting for "Babyface" Miz. I'm a huge fan of the Finish they went with for the end of the Match because, while I like The Miz a lot more than I like Gunther, I'm really tired of how no one *EVER* goes over via Submission anymore. And if this is a revival of Tapping Out as an actual consistent Finish, I'm all for it, even if it makes Miz look underwhelming. Miz only looks underwhelming because no one Taps, not because he actually looks weak Tapping to the best Wrestler they have in the entire Roster. More Submission Victories pls. Dragon Lee vs Escobar 2.5/5 - Okay. I'm neither here nor there. Both great Wrestlers, but I don't know much about them. So all I had to watch was Wrestling maneuvers. But the Wrestling maneuvers were awesomely executed so I can't rate it negatively. Rhea Ripley vs Zoey Stark 3/5 - I have a lot to say, but it has less to do with the match itself. I think it was actually really well told, and that Stark is one of my favourites by far in the Division. But the fact of the matter is that unless something changes in a big way, the only way a crowd *EVER* boos against Heel (Face without question) Rhea Ripley is if she holds the Title hostage like Roman Reigns. I think the *ONLY* way you could get the fans to boo this character is to actually deliberately make her really unlikeable. Maybe do something along the lines of: "What's the point? I'm not gonna lose anyway? Everyone knows Mami always wins. Why do I have to defend the Title? It's a waste of my time." And then have Rhea queue up Title Defences only to retain by consistent immediate Disqualification. If she did that, literally set up Matches, and then *DIDN'T* Wrestle on the card, you probably could get the crowd to Boo her. Like have her hit people with the Title, take the Count-Out while laughing, and commit to true scumbag behaviour. But Idk. It's a big ask, and probably hard to come back from if they did her character like that. It'd be a good way to get the crowd to actually cheer for a Challenger to take the win, but Booking her afterwards to where the crowd didn't hate her for real would probably be pretty hard. Men's WarGames 3/5 - I liked this one, but I hadn't considered Larson's perspective until he said it. Yeah, Drew really didn't do that much to Jey for how focused the storyline was supposed to be. 🤔I'm not really bothered by "Power Levels" the same way a lot of *OTHER* *Guys* are, so it doesn't really matter to me that Damage CTRL and Judgement Day got shidded. If you tell a good story, and do good Wrestling, you can always get em' next time. Randy returning was fun, and the storytelling was pretty solid, but it was really only in bursts. It had good use of a bunch of little story moments, but it didn't build to a huge climax within the Match. I liked this one quite a lot. 👍Sick show.

I bet Raw does it's highest ratings in the history of the show tonight. I rarely watch, but I will tonight and hopefully for the foreseeable future. Can't wait to see Seth drop that title to Punk.

My Star Ratings: Women’s WG - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Many cool spots and had great storytelling. 5 star classic Gunther vs Miz - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 Built suspense towards the end and was a good match. Could’ve used more time to shift into a new gear Santos vs Dragon - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.25 Good match for the time given. But, ended too quick. Should’ve seen more crazy moves Ripley vs Stark - ⭐️⭐️.75 A few botches + a slow pace that picked up for a minute… and then the match ended. this should’ve been more competitive with more time Mens WG - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 Could’ve used more cool spots + didn’t focus on Drew/Jey story. Many people will overrate this match cause of the CM Punk/Randy return It’s kinda crazy how there were only 5 matches, and the 3 singles matches weren’t given enough time…

I thought this was WWE’s chance to give Rhea at 4+ star match, the best match she’s had since WM. But, you really just can’t have a classic match in less than 10 minutes. Pretty disappointed with the booking.

Women's war games was def the best match imo. I guess wrestling content makers are gonna make bank on Punks return to wwe. Punk just makes that money for everyone! lol I truly believe he got himself fired by TK he was saying goodbye to the fans at Wembley after the altercation like he knew he was gone.

Gotta disagree with Steve. While the story was great in the women's war games match, there was way too many missed, botched, or people waiting to get into spots. Also made no sense having the faces go in with the advantage which made the heels the faces of the match. 3.5 stars

The part where they play “no I’m the leader”… no that’s cartoonishly stupid… okay the part with the fake jail and Rey mysterios son? No no that was cartoonishly stupid as well. The part where jd McDonough takes all the punishment for them only to still not be fully accepted by anyone besides Finn? No no that’s also cartoonishly stupid… so beside the mere presence of rhea ripley (the dominatrix thing? Cartoonishly stupid) and the mere presence of Finn Bálor what exactly is NOT cartoonishly stupid when it comes to that faction? And I don’t think drew being taller than Seth really precludes him from getting a draping ddt… that doesn’t make very much sense in any way. What you can’t do moves to a guy who’s taller than you? Why isn’t the big show or great khali still champion then? No one can do any moves to either of them by that logic.
