This is the most simple thing that flat earthers cant refuse, this prooves that the earth is a globe and spins, because on the north the stars rotate to one side and in the south stars rotate to the other side
@cavinsoo He's using a very wide lens here. At 10mm and an aperture of f/4.5 on a ASP-C sensor, he's got a hyperfocal distance around 5.58 feet, if I calculate correctly. In other words, he has a flipping ginormous depth of field, despite the fairly wide aperture. This is simply because his focal length (equivalent to c.19 mm focal length on a 35mm camera) is very short. Thus, he focuses at infinity and the bushes and everything more than 6 feet away are in good focus.
@ pyropix, at low temperatures the batteries will run out of power very soon, so I used the AC adapter made by Canon. For shorter exposure series a batterygrip will be o.k.. At 0°C the two batteries will give enough power for about 2,5 hours.
I totally respect you! I know how painful it is to sit for the star trails!! Beautiful man! Amazing! I would like to know your aperture, shutter speed and ISO data!
@ oscarchilpa, what do you mean with phantom? The plane at 0:56 or the darks spots in the field? The dark spots are icecrystals that formed as the lens went too cold.
beautifully made video, love the way the stars twinkle, is that aurora borealis in the background? Snow and music makes it seem magical and how you see snowy nights as a kid before, "growing up" and "modern life in general" dilutes the magic of nature and science and imagination!!
Very nice effect. The universe is amazing and the night sky is our space ship window to the cosmos. I sometimes shot may consecutive images on a cheap point-an-shoot camera and join them together using Windows Live Movie Maker.
amazing .. to learn time-lapse and framing .. i just want to know whats the best time in the night to start a time-lapse .. and how long do you normally shoot for ?? please help me if possible as i will be testing shooting star trails .. in april .. would appreciate some tips thanks
