Star Trek: 10 Best Klingon Episodes 

The best thing about Blood Oath is the fact they managed to get the original actors to reprise their iconic Klingon roles.

Once More Unto the Breach is one of the best episodes ever. Those lines that Kor delivers to Worf just before holding off the Jem'Hadar actually made me cry, and his final sacrifice was incredible.

Way of the Warrior. Best Klingon episode in the trek series.

Matter of Honour - the part when an aggressive Klingon woman comes on to Riker. Someone asks if he wants her or the quieter Klingon woman instead. “Why not both?” Riker says. Wonderful moment!

No "Once more into the Breach"? The aging and ailing Kor suffering from increasing senility, seeking an honorable death in battle? And Martok's dismissal of such because Kor had once been a pompous nobleman who had dismissed Martok from service due to his lowly birth and caste?

The combination of Quark as Ferengi and his actions in "The House of Quark" were so great. As Ferengi he saw things from a complete different angle and when the time of confrontation came he did the best thing to prove that D'Ghor was complete without honor.

Can't remember the name of it, but the DS9 one where Sisko, Worf, Odo and O'Brien go Full Klingon to prove Gowron is a Changeling is a personal favorite

I just remember watching “Reunion” on tv for the first time and when Worf and Alexander and found K’Lar bleeding to death and dying and how with her last dying action brings Alexander and Worf’s hands together just before he screams. And when Crusher comes in with her staff, he tells his son to “stay with the doctor” then runs to his quarters, grabs his bath’leth and drops his starfleet combadge and you knew that Duras was a dead man. I remember watching that fight between Worf and Duras and I was like “don’t nobody stop him, this SOB needs to die” and when Worf slammed his bath’leth down in that killing blow right into Duras’ Throat I felt so satisfied for Worf.

“Gagh is always best when served live.” Disappointed to not see any TOS Klingon episodes on this list. My favorite is “Day of the Dove,” which introduced Kang.

I really liked Worf's 'wife/mate' K'ehleyr, I really wished she was in the series more. She was only in 2 episodes but she was awesome

I love Ezri's speech about the decay of the Klingon empire and how it spurs Worf to kill Gowron and make Martok chancellor.

I like the 2-parter where Worf joins a Romulan prison camp for Klingon POWs but the Romulan and Klingons in the camp became allies and turned the camp into more of a colony (albeit, with the Klingons as second-class-citizens) and the camp leader even married a Klingon and had a half-Klingon daughter and the 2nd episode is about Worf teaching the young Klingons more about Klingon culture and reminding the older ones of what they left behind.

These are all good choices! Love that House Of Quark made the cut! I suppose what qualifies as a "Klingon" episode is debatable, but Apocalypse Rising definitely is one of them. Surprised to not see Way Of The Warrior or one of the two Tribble episodes on there, although really only parts of those episodes deal heavily with the Klingons, so maybe that's why.

I'd like to thank the editor for the giant yellow arrow pointing out Worf's forehead ridges. 😂

missing "DS9: Once more unto the Breach"

DS9: The Way of the Warrior is one of the all-time best episodes. Plus, there were various other DS9 episodes which were like "Soldiers of the Empire" and took place almost entirely on the Rotarran.

Another excellent video Mr. Marcus. May I ask that one of the next videos cover the topic of the most glaring Star Trek continuity errors. Maybe differentiate between, Enterprise, TOS, DISCO. ,TNG, and beyond? Thank you sir.

Omg!! BEST WhatsCulture episode EVER!! Love the focus on the Klingons and (needless to say) BEST analysis on their culture. I've always loved TNG's episodes involving the Klingons. And by the looks of it, DS9 seems to focus more on them. Maybe I'll watch season 1 instead of an episode here and there. Keep up the great work, Guys. 😁

I LOVED Enterprise's explanation for the TOS appearance of the Klingons. It was not only a good explanation, it was a damn good story!

My favorite Klingon episode is definitely DS9's "Once more unto the Breach" where old Kor, now being roughly 180-200 years old, begins to show symptoms of dementia while serving on Martok's Rotarran. This episode gives us the Klingons how we love them, gives us a Klingon legacy character, it allows us a look on how Klingons deal with getting old and outliving their own legend, as well as giving a legendary warrior a worthy goodby - AWESOME! I still get teary eyed when the Rotarran officer narrates Kor's fight against the Jem'Hadar fleet, his victory and demise, and the following moments when the Klingon crew that ridiculed old Kor starts singing to his honor. Damn, I'm getting teary eyed just writing about it right now!😢

Well back to Netflix to watch everything Klingon again 😍😍😍

If anyone's read the book "Excelsior: Trial By Fire", it tells the story of Kang, Koloth, Kur, Curzon Dax; and even Captain Sulu's hunt for the Albino Klingon. Nice to see that book's story come to an end in the episode Bloodoath. 😊😊

You should do Weyoun episodes, the actor portrayed some of the best characters in Star Trek series.

I would have included Tacking Into the Wind also with Worf and Gowron's story coming full circle.

Shame the retcon about the Klingon appearance was itself retconned by the existence of the ST: Discovery Klingons being uber ridged, let alone the three TOS Klingons who'd appeared in DS9 ridges and all lol

Hi Marcus, GOOD list But Like always I have my opinion, 5 - is the one when Warf and K'Ehleyr Poise at Captain and First officer to intercept the T'Ong 4 - Redemption 3 - Soldiers of the Empire 2- Affliction Divergence 1 - Blood Oath I do like the Episodes with General Martok or Chancellor Martok J. G. Hertzler ONE OF THE GREAT ACTOR in Star Trek. Thanks for sharing this list and stay health and be happy with the ones you love.

Marcus, what do you think of TNG's "Heart of Glory" in which Worf meets Klingons who are coping poorly with the Federation as allies? I thought this season 1 episode showed how great TNG would become.

Dude Worf’s fight with Duras is easily my favorite fight in all of Star Trek. I get a bit of a geekgasm watching it!

Sins of the Father was the best of all Klingon episodes, no contest. And a tip of the Bat'leth to Ronald Moore, who wrote a lot of the best NextGen and DS9 Klingon episodes.

For those interested. The nr1 Klingon Riker befriends has an awesome trilogy of Star Trek novels dedicated to him. Basically about him and his command of the IKS Gorkon (if i recall the name correctly). If memory serves me it also has Worf's mindwiped brother in the crew.

I always liked "Judgement" from Enterprise, because it expanded that not all Klingons were warriors, brought Rura Penthe and J.G. Hertzler, who is the second best Klingon after Christopher Lloyd.

No Way of the Warrior? Also, no TOS episodes like Day of the Dove? That being said, Worf killing Duras in Reunion is an "assimilate this" style high point for the character.

I know its not an episode, but Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered country is my favorite of all the films too actually. Also, I kinda liked ENT :Judgement, cause its so depressing, knowing that the lawyers view of the culture and his efforts are ultimately a failure.

Very surprised indeed that none of the TOS or TAS episodes were brought up. A personal favorite of mine is Errand of Mercy. True, neither side came out looking their best, but the Organians did raid the game and stop the fighting.

Great video would agree with almost all your choices however I would include Once More unto the Breach and maybe swap it for Blood Oath. Excellent end to Kor the dahar master.

Today is a good day for a klingon list

Actually, I dispute the assertion that the Klingon head ridge discrepency was a plot hole which plagued the fandom and they desperately needed an answer for it. We all KNEW what the answer was- because the makeup budget for the original series wasn't high enough and they just weren't as ambitious with their alien designs, OK? We just rolled with it. Worf going "We do not discuss it with outsiders" was just a hilarious little joke they used to shrug it off. I hate when people go to extreme lengths to justify supposed "plot holes" that don't really bother anyone- most notably when Disney made an ENTIRE Star Wars movie to explain why the Death Star had even a single exploitable weakness in its design to make destroying it so "easy", even though hitting a 2m wide secondary thermal exhaust port with proton torpedies was hardly a cakewalk and every single pilot except Luke, Wedge and a single Y-Wing pilot bit the dust. Rogue One was a good movie, but I did NOT need to learn that the Death Star's creator was attempting to deliberately sabotage it, but only managed to add such a minor weakness. A New Hope worked just fine as it was, and so did the Klingons.

As a young five year old in the mid 70's and seeing my first and favourite ST-TOS episode "Balance of Terror" and becoming a lifelong fan of the Romulan Star Empire, I think you need to do a Top Ten. LLAP 🤔 🌐 🖖

DS9 Martok teaches Sisko about the glorious war that is marriage. First Contact, Worf's ship is all but destroyed attacking the Borg. We flash to the bridge in complete disorder. Worf calls out "Perhaps today IS a good day to die!" "Ramming Speed!" This dedication to duty. This fighting on to his last breath. I am reminded of Khan; To the last, I will grapple with thee... from Hell's heart, I stab at thee! For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee!

I saw one Klingon episode where it was on a Klingon ship and the Captain was old and they were going to a planet the captain had visited before on a bombing mission when the Klingon Empire was still a warring empire. They were suppose to run a peaceful mission, but the captain had a flashback and figured he was back in the past and had to complete this bombing mission. What episode was that?

An honourable try at a list, with your top ones all solid, but how can you exclude Errand of Mercy from the OS, or even Day of the Dove (ft. Kang)? John Colicos is arguably the most scenery-chewing Klingon ever.

I like the storyline where Worf instigates a battle of honour to get Jadzia admitted to (can't quite spell the name) Klingon heaven. What is the episode where he wins the battle, please?

MY personal list has Sons of Mogh, Way of the Warrior, Apocalypse rising, Redemption, and of course the House of Quark. I really loved Gowron, but in the end he turned out to be a real bastard... a BakTag?

Seriously no mention of the Sword of Khaless and Once more unto the breach episodes? Those are in the top 5 at least.

I'd give an honourable mention to Point of Light, the third episode from Discovery's second season. We get to see Klingon politics up close, get one of the best fight scenes and a bit of good old fashioned Klingon romance.
