This seems about what they should be like in combat. Both are cruisers with the Intrepid being a very fast light cruiser with excellent firing arcs and the Norway being a Armoured Cruiser (Its hull looks just like the Defiant's hull material so probably Ablative armour) with a lower target profile and more durability. The Intrepid Class isn't as well suited for mass production compared to the Norway as it uses Bio-Neural computers that are difficult to manufacture and the Warp Drive is a lot more maintenance heavy compared to typical ships. They are about as strong as each other but the Intrepid is Starfleet's Hot Rod to the Norway Workhorse :)

I really like your tactics. It seems like you keep rotating susbsystems based on the opponents method or pattern of attack. when a subsystem target isn't working as much, switch to another and then another and do more overall damage until too much has been done. I'd have to give this to the Intrepid class though. When you played the Norway you fared much more damage than the other way around. I really enjoyed this!

I thought it was more based on angle, for example if you know the shield generator is on the top of the ship, when you can only see the bottom of the ship fire on something there like the warp core, spreads the damage over subsystems instead of generally. Great tactic overall I need to try it out and practice 😂

Thank you! Yes I sometimes play it that way but other times I first target systems that I'm not bothered about: the AI repairs subsystems purely based on whatever is damaged first. This way I clog up the repairs with other systems, knowing the system I want to disable will never regenerate. The Intrepid definitely had the advantage, it was much more difficult playing as the Norway class (for now, the Norway has a large hanger bay so it will be launching Peregrine fighters in the future, along with the Akira class )

@@adamlee2111 I didn't know the AI repaired on a 1st come first serve basis! That's a really good way to play! And I can't wait to see the Norway class fight with peregrine's, that's gonna be so cool!

@@02ujtb00626 I’m hoping to include fighter launching, I just need to check the size of the Peregrine model to make sure it’s not too large or it would look ridiculous 😂

@@adamlee2111 if it's too large you could use the Valkyrie fighter. It's more compact and I have seen it used in my other BC channels. I think retrobadger had it at one point. Or maybe scifi king.

One thing that annoyed me in this game is how strong the warp core is. The ship is destroyed before the warp core is. I wanted the satisfaction of destroying the warp core which would then immediately destroy the ship regardless of the health status. I still loved this game and after the mods to make the ships, ship weapons, and characters look better, the game was way more fun.

Thank you! I really enjoy the Norway class, its a shame we never saw it again after First Contact. Have you had any joy with multi targeting?

@@adamlee2111 not as yet in Remastered. Unlike in KM and Legacy, RE is missing some key aspects of Foundation that would allow multi/auto targeting to work. However, it is far from impossible, just need to keep plugging away.😅

@@adamlee2111 I tried to add FoundationTech and the Autotargeting (along with enabling in the plugin scripts as required), hadn't got it working as yet... Will take any pointers.😉😎😂

!. Knocking out the Sub-light drive prevents the torpedo volley to reach you. 2.Knocking out the torpedo launchers keeps you in the fight, longer.

I can see what you were going for with the Norway, but for a 'tank', she needs a bit more tankiness. Maybe proper ablative armour? Especially around critical systems? BTW I'm curious, which tools are you using to mod the game?

I've gone with more of a shield tank with a decent hull for the Norway. I've balanced the Steamrunner as a hull tank (the Norway has model errors that wreck the damage modelling) I use the Model Property Editor, BC Universal tool, Adobe Audition, Photoshop and Notepad++

@@adamlee2111 Well she's sligtly bigger in size then the Intrepid (chunkier, anyway). and has less firepower. I'd put her as a 'tanky' light cruiser. But for that, she needs a bit more shielding. In fact according to anti-Borg ship lore, which is what she's supposed to be, she is meant to be a 'tank', like the Steamrunner, staying close to the Cube and soaking up the punishment, while more firepower-oriented ships like the Akira, Sabre, etc, keep distance and do the damage.
