I feel like this episode was an overpacked action slog with a surprisingly decent ending. That said, her Captain's Call here is very fitting and I like it. "Let's fly." Let's fly indeed, Michael. Let's see how high you can go.
Say what you want about discovery, but I've definitely enjoyed seasons 2 and 3. The full circle of Micheal Burnham's story is good. She's not only redeemed herself but also earned the captain's chair by making tough calls that only a captain could. So I am looking forward to season 4 and looking forward to Strange New Worlds.
I can say that again! And certainly it took a bit of a time to see the grace of Discovery. But I did warm to it. By season 2 and I have definitely picked up on that gist of season 3 thanks in part to the You Tubes sites. What has been seen there. Makes me want to pick up the third season of this series. Shifting it to the 32nd century makes a very interesting concept and feature. Of that, we can be certain that Season 4 is much on the cards. I look forward to seeing the third season of Discovery by DVD.
I tend to believe that it will be the case that it will be the point that there will be the release of the third DVD of Discovery and it's third season. I've seen Strange New Worlds as well! And certainly I do believe that a fourth season of Discovery is much on the cards! I have been tempted very sorely indeed to get Star Trek Picard and I will get that in the near future! I've seen just enough of that! To glean one fact. The metallic tendrils from the space warp in that. Have some parallel with Season 2 of Discovery. The last desperate fling of Control trying to hold on to it's intention of becoming sentient. I also know that the androids on Utopia Planitia spaceyards were influenced by this and committed the rebellion by their own hand. And that makes Picard the pivot in this last chance of sentience by Control! I figure it will feature firmly in Picard Season 2.
I love it! Captain Burnum reminds me of Captain Kirk. This was an excellent episode. I especially love Admiral Vance’s mentor/fatherly relationship Saru and Burnum.
Yeah in the beginning I thought he is a bad guy. But in the end, he's a good guy who is desperate & the Federation felt lost, lonely, & confused. Now thanks to the efforts of the USS Discovery crew. It gaves them a new hope to the future. Admiral Vance & everyone felt changed & inspired by them. At last the Federation is finally been reborn from the ashes.
My single biggest problem with the show is how they depict those turbolifts. Why these special effects people think that all of that space even actually exists on a ship that size is beyond me. They did the same stupid thing on Enterprise on that short where Spock and Number One were stuck in the turbolift.
@@MDMoery I know right. Then they need to take a turbo lift travelling horizontally just to reach the data core. The space depicted in that scene is just too big for a Federation vessel.
