The fifth and final season will find Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and the crew of the U.S.S. Oh lord. There was an episode in season 2, that opened with a scene of the blue robot lady and I immediately said ‘she dies in this episode’ 40 minutes later she was dead and Burnham and everyone was crying and weeping. I guess all that crew bonding and, you know, basic interaction happened off screen. Could put a gun to my head and I still couldn’t name that character.

I'm not a huge fan of Discovery... but TNG hasn't aged well at all. Aside from a few episodes here and there, the first 4 seasons of TNG are frankly dreadful.

@droidgeist I think the first 2 seasons are but season 3 and 4 aren't that bad and especially season 4 is pretty good. Either way that doesn't excuse the melodrama. It's just unprofessional and unrealistic

Why couldn't they just have the final season being rebuilding the federation in the distant future. Checking in on well known races and showing off "new" members from other quadrants. No need for a big story arc, they already had like 5, take a season to chillax and just have fun adventures.
