All misty-eyed. But there should have been some parting shots of Jadzia.

from what I understand her manager was playing hard ball on the price to use the clips, and the budget for the finale was stretched to the breaking point already. Still, it's a shame

Rick Berman's ego wouldn't have allowed it.

They would have fit in perfectly in Worf's flashbacks, other than that weird transition between Worf arriving and Ezri and Bashir making out in the lift.

someone should make an edit of that, of this exact scene but with Jadzia.

I believe in this series of Star Trek the spectator is led to wonder at the end of the last episode: And now? What happen? Kira at the Command ?, who as the first officer? Who will take the place of Worf and Miles O'Brien? The same goes for Star Trek Voyager: it would be nice to see Janeway promoted admiral, and the rehabilitation of the former maquis crew. The music of this scene from the last episode of Star Trek DS9, deserves a prize: simply wonderful

Giuseppe Silipo, I believe Janeway appeared (via video conference) as an Admiral in Nemesis.

From start to finish a most excellent Star Trek series, perhaps the greatest. So many powerful themes, so much creative visual effects and variety of sentient beings, great music, an interesting diverse array of villains and heroes, powerful emotional moments.

The ending of DS9 meant a lot more to me than the ending of TNG, mainly because I knew a lot more about TNG going into it because it was on the TV all the time as I was growing up, especially since I had seen the ending before. But with DS9, I hadn’t seen it as much, mainly because it was on in the morning on BBC America and I usually saw it in the afternoons. So seeing it end after getting to know and love all of the characters felt sadder to me. As for Voyager, I’m on the last season now, so I’ll see how I feel about it then.

I love DS9, such a rich lore, we have: emissary, bajorans, trills, wormhole, cardassian, maqui, jem'hadar, vortas, foinders, ferengis, domínion, klingons, diplomacy, wars, a captain witch fire back

@marileestetson737
@marileestetson737 6 лет назад
Kasarow, No, it isn't actually. Many shots of Worf were replaced by shots of Julian&Ezri; Benjamin and Jake were replaced with Kira and Odo. If you have Netflix the segment is in the last minutes after Kassidy meets Ben in the Celestial Temple.

Why did you rob Worf? If you're going to make your own edit at least throw in some Jadzia scenes.

Apparently they tried to, but her actress' manager was playing hardball with the cost of using old shots of her. The budget for the episode was already strained, so they couldn't do it.

The last decent Star trek before the studios started fucking things up entirely with all their bullshit remakes and reboots. Of coarse, This franchise isn't the only one. Examples can be found everywhere...No longer is anything creative anymore, its just reboot after reboot / Prequel after prequel / Sequel after distasteful sequel
@highstimulation2497
@highstimulation2497 2 года назад
I think things in human history have always been reboot after reboot etc, but they are so close together and so short that we can SEE that they are. Old mythologies are FULL of endless different versions of the same stories, the Greek gods have Latin and German names as well, the Norns (three female characters from Norse mythology) appear later as the Witches in Shakespeare's Macbeth (I think,) etc. Countless tales are retelling of earlier ones. What's different is that this is more apparent than it used to be. I have a friend who plays traditional music from his country. Very often the 'new' music he comes up with is in fact just his own slightly different version of some other traditional music. It's always like this. That said, I see what you mean also. SEEING that this is in fact happening is a bummer. I mean, dude, the Magnificent Seven, a western, is really THe Seven Samurai. Elements of Samurai films (which comes from samurai stories that predate the film era,) influenced other westerns too, as well as star wars. Roxanne by Steve Martin, a 90s comedy, is in fact a retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac. (that isn't a secret, but one might not realize it and think that steve martin was being 'creative' when he made it. I mean, he WAS, but the story itself is older. Don't bum out. Let's just hope that hollywood does a BETTER more CONVINCING and less OBVIOUSLY derivative job of this in the future. which seems unlikely. ok, now I'm sad too.
