The fact that the entire section from 5:03 onward was read off in the same informational deadpan tone as the schematics reading honestly just makes it ten times more hilarious. Great stuff man!

Aaaaah yes, the good ol' humble Miranda class. Honestly it's always been a favorite of mine when it comes to the design coda of most of Starfleet. Up there with the Akira and Defiant classes (though the Steamrunner is a pretty good little clunker). But as mentioned, those poor Miranda class ships didn't have the . . . *best* of shielding structures. Could probably sling a fist sized rock at one and probably penetrate the shields of the poor lass. And while i would love to see a modern revamp of the Miranda class opening up some Grade A Whoopass, i doubt it'll happen. And even if it did i'd loathe to see what the current "creators" of Star Trek would do to the poor girl. And let's not EVEN get me started on Star Trek Online, cause i could go on for hours about that shit-show of a game.

At least she isn't a Grissom class. Whenever anyone asks why the Galaxy-class had so much firepower and shielding for an exploration ship, I point them at the fate of just about every Grissom seen on screen.

@@MrKeserian honestly the Grissom should've never been put anywhere but in "inner" federation space. Like the Miranda' classes shields are a comedy, but the Grissom is a complete shit-show. Poor little things should've remained as delegation/medical boats or so on. Why they thought those ships were deep space worthy is beyond me. Then again, Starfleet has a bad habit of making dumb decisions =/
