For as ambivalent as I am about the story in this DLC, "We fight so that others can live. And if we die, it better be for the same reason" is a damn good line.
@@CristySFM1234 The last line of this one was so close to being as good as Rogue One which is really the only other example of it being used well that I can think of. She said "we have hope..." and I thought "damn that was pretty good" and before I could finish that thought they had to ruin it with "and hope is why we are going to win" Such a tragedy when something would be so much more well-written and poignant if you could just cut a few corny extra words at the end, and you can't. Idk who wrote that line but I kind of hate them for it. It would have been so easy to just not add the second half. It doesn't even make sense. If you have hope, you already think you're going to win. That's the whole meaning of hope in this context. It's a hat on a hat.
Remember when Princess Leia had her entire planet blown up in front of her in ep 4. What was her response? Or when Luke lost his Aunt and Uncle- immediately "take me with you to fight the Empire" He only mourned for like 5 mins over a hermit he'd known for like a day and a half.
That's honestly what happens when the Studio jumps 20 years and straight up says that everyone is already dead. Can't really write a surviving character in the events prior to that, because of that crap.
I can see it took them 30 minutes to write this little story. Not to mention their daughter is kind of a sociopath , she just lost both of her parents and barely has shown any real emotion.
And the story was just as weak and uninteresting as the Sequel trilogy... Disney needs to just decanonize that shit and let Dave Filoni make the REAL episodes VII-IX.
What do you expect her Casey to do fall apart she's in the middle of a war. People die in war friends and in the wrong circumstances sometimes family and the fact of the matter is you still have to carry on. That doesn't make you a sociopath that makes you human. and I know what I'm talking about I did four tours in a rack with Marines and I've had men die in my arms. I didn't cry over them I knew I had a job to do.
That's actually a thing that happens in reality. Iv'e heard stories of soldiers suffering serious wounds but not realizing it for a while due to a combination of adrenaline and shock. Like this one US soldier who was in a vehicle that hit an IED. He was so pumped up on adrenaline and focused on trying to save his wounded squad mate he did not realize he had a large piece of shrapnel sticking out of his face until someone else pointed it out.
Indeed, this novel would do a pretty good movie. It was really nice seeing the galactic civil war and the transformation of the Empire through the eyes of an imperial officer. No OP heroes with plot armors, no Skywalker family problem, just 2 people who found themselves in the middle of a war.
Considering what happened in the movies, my guess is that Zay and Shriv got blown up by the first Resistance ally they contacted because their First Order TIE was mistakened as the enemy.
Well, if you take plot armor into count and not logic, you can say that your average stormtrooper with decent armor takes one shot and either dies or is knocked out. A main character on the other hand *cough cough Finn cough cough* without any form of armor can be sliced in the back by a lightsaber and survive.
When I first watched the trailers for this game, I thought “Wait, we get to play the bad guys for once? Awesome”. Then it turned into a typical “I’m changing sides just because”. Iden kind of felt like a prototype of Finn. Why can’t they stop with the cliches?

I gotta say, it's pretty damning when this videogame has more heart and character with it's stars than the sequels. I'm genuinely impressed with how well done all the cinematics are. It's like watching a movie or show in itself. We need more of this!
Can they please just continue star wars with Han Luke and Leia using this kind of animation? That way we could get all their adventures after the movie.
Why can't we have a Star Wars game where we relive different battles of every trilogy but from other characters' point of view?! Imagine controlling a jedi knight, a clone, a droid, or a pilot and the missions would be different regarding who you choose to play with
@@techno639 battlefront 2 is a sandbox army vs army thing I want an actual story driven experience maybe your even one of the clones that defect at the end or tries to defect at least maybe you just go down in a blaze of glory killing yourself and many of your brothers because you believe death is better then the fate of serving the empire after witnessing what the republic has done or maybe you go on to be a high ranking member of the Vaders fist idk I'd enjoy both outcomes maybe it'd even be your choice if such a game was ever made but still clones are some of my favorite characters in the starwars universe

Just came here from watching the cinematics of BF II but oh man, just the cinematics from the DLC are waaaaay better than the sequel shtlogy put together.
The reason none of the Resistance's allies came to the rescue is because Leia refused to let them land. They were shot down the moment they exited hyperspace because people thought the First Order is attacking.
something so damn satisfying when we blew the reactor belly out of Kylo's star destroyer within eyeball sight of Super Star Base. Disneys big mistake with the movies was approaching them with the same mindset of the mcu movies. different directors for every one is ok in mcu, there is enough going on in enough far off corners for it to work but multiple directors for 7, 8 and 9 just turned the sequel trilogy in to a mess.
Nah the entire campaign is a lie, we expect to be playing as the imperial loyalists and giving us the "imperial perspective" after the battle of endor given by the trailer and interviews, the whole "hope cannot save them" but somehow they did a 180 and ended up having 80% of the stories surrounding the rebel side that doesn't make a single sense, hell EA and DICE should be sue for falsely advertised a AAA $60+ game
Honestly, that doesn't mean anything, the Star Wars Kathleen Kennedy Era has produced the WORST movies in star wars history by far, not to mention the characters are the absolute worst I've seen in an incredibly long time, like, lmfao not hard to beat them, they are absolute garbage. The Characters in EA's Battlefront are only a bit better. Even then, still trash tier, and the voice acting and animation is cringe as shit.

They actually appear in a book I did not read. They recruit General Reekien from Hoth and if I understood the wiki correctly, i think they get Wedge Antilles also. But otherwise they fail to get anything good
