yes, if they could hear it explode (as they clearly do) then it should have been ear-deafening. most sci-fi ignores that there isn't any sound in space. but forget how loud real explosions on this level should be.

The story was so poorly written. No character development, no emotional bonding with the characters, lazy/predictable plot. Repetitive game mechanics etc... The visuals were great though. Pity that it doesn't make up the bad story
