It is a bad game, a very bad game, and it's usually very easy to blame EA for it; but the problems with this game are so blatantly amateur that I don't even know who to blame. It's like everyone who held, touched, looked at, breathed on, and existed in the same universe of the ball dropped it on this one, except for the environment designer I guess. Good for that guy.

For sure. That's kind of the point I'm getting at. The game is so flawed in its fundamentals that I don't even know what sort of DLC they can conjure that might allow more longevity or variety. We would expect EA to milk and cheap shot this thing to oblivion, but the game is already inhibiting their ability to do so.

***** they were both god tier games, i miss several of the battlefront 1 maps, but the campaign was better, galactic conquest was amazing. the heros were playable. more classes to choice from. space battles. I mean they were both amazing games, i remember when i was 10 stay up all night with my best friend playing galactic conquest and beating it. I loved them both, but battlefront 1 only had some maps that are definitely missed by the community. I just wish that they would remaster the games instead of trying taking a franchise that has an image and turning it into a game that feels more like a battlefield than a battlefront.

Ubisoft makes some good games, like far cry, AC Syndicate was actually good believe it or not, and For Honor looks like it will be one of the best next year.

RSE 167 Well, I'm having fun as Jyn Erso and killing Death Troopers on Scarif. You can be mad about it's initial launch but me getting what was initially a $110 game for $30 is good savings. I actually won the base game for free and was having so much fun I bought the DLC within the first hour of playing since it was on sale. I agree that the game has lots of problems but they also did a lot of things right.

Chris Lewis I remember seeing a trailer for it on the Episode III DVD and being terrified of it. I don't remember how, but I eventually remembered that it existed and saw that it was on Steam for a cheap price. Worth every penny.
Worst part, besides the lack of single player, no player run servers. if EA ever wanted to force you to buy the sequel they could just remove all the servers and you'd be stuck with a useless disk... a $120 cup holder I love the battlefront series like no other game... but I REFUSE to support EAs business model

@@teamtx3184 Honestly its not bad, Battlefront 2 is amazing. they re-released it on Steam for cheap with all the content included and no microtransactions. You unlock everything by playing and how you get heroes is also entirely revamped so you just need to save up points (kills) to play as someone better which is easily possible

looking back is sad. The game was so good on launch/beta. It was, at the time, a visual and audio masterpiece. Even the menu when I first logged on was memorable in its charm. But this amazing foundation became soured as the more you play you realise the lack of depth to the game. Lack of content, uncompetitive gameplay, poor level design. It was tragic. Similarly star wars has been ruined for me now due to disneys constant smearing of the franchise in order to constantly churn out low quality content.

Can we all...ALL OF US, please just agree that EVEN IF YOU ALREADY BOUGHT THE (arguably) MAIN GAME, PLEASE DO NOT PAY FOR THE DLC!? Because the way I see it is, it's unlikely that it'll ever be worth the ridiculous price its been set at and if enough people DON'T pay for that bullshit then they'll be forced to either give it to us for free or at least lower the price to a not bullshit level.
