Best looking Sith, while most of the Sith are deformed, have Sith eyes, vulgar and anti-social, full of tattoos, or use some armor, and fight with rage. Dooku is the opposite of what a typical Sith looks like, he's communicative, he's calm and cold, nonchalant, his fight style is elegant, his look is elegant, and his voice is elegant. An evil gentleman.

@@Luka2023- Memorable because it was so bad they became memes lol. Very few films accomplish this but its certainly not a sought after achievement when you're writing a dark, sci-fi drama. The dialogue a lot of the time isn't just week, its nonsensical. "The Republic will never get away with this treachery" ??????????? the Republic are the ones on the receiving end of a war declaration, political assassinations and allegedly, to Dooku's knowledge, under control of a Sith lord. So what's he even trying to say? Its treachery that they are fighting back? Treachery that a war they were actively trying to instigate actually broke out? Treachery that the Sith lord in control of the Republic is allowing this to happen? It doesn't make any sense yet Dooki says this shit anyways lmao. I guarantee George just wrote that line as a "what would the bad guy say when things don't go according to plan" and wrote in the most cliche, lazy and uninspired line of dialogue he could think of, with no regard for the fact that the only people acting in "treachery" are the Separatists who've been masquerading as a peaceful coalition oppressed by the Republic while building a massive army and knowingly serving a Sith Lord lmao.

The way to tell a convincing lie is to also tell the truth he does tell Obi-Wan about Sidious and the Senate which is true but he also neglects to tell him his role as Sidious’s apprentice I personally think he was trying to manipulate Obi-Wan or try to cover up his involvement by acting the part of a political revolutionary figure instead of a co-mastermind of a fabricated war meant to turn the public against the Jedi due to how wars deplete resources of countries let alone a galactic republic with trillions or even quadrillions of sentient life forms The idea that the Jedi the generals in charge of the war effort would be the symbol for the war and then using their own troops against them via programming that takes over their will

Only he could have a...fairly underutilised antagonist with more limited screen-time and the role of being so much more of a supporting player for the actual big bad (I suppose similar to Tarkin in that regard but Dooku naturally feels like a larger than life character to me) and still provide him the appropriate magnanimity, cunning and capacity to make him easily one of the most enduring, underrated, memorable and generally beloved characters in Star Wars.

After Tales of the Jedi, I'm starting to believe that maybe Dooku revealing the plot to Obiwan on Genosis and asking him to help destroy Sidious, was Dooku's last play to try and return to the light. He knew he could never fully return to the light after all the people he killed, but he could still make a play with Obiwan to end Sidious, and at the very least, orchestrate the war to end on his terms, and trying to usher in a new era of reform for the outer rim.

All of Dooku scenes in Episode III are very interesting. Christopher Lee shot all of his scenes in this movie in London in front of green screen and without Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid, who shot there parts of this scene separately from Lee in America. There were two main reasons for this. First, the entire set which was used for later shoots with other actors was not built yet when Lee filmed his part, so he had to perform entirely in front of green screen. Second, Lee's advanced age of 83 and health concerns prevented him from traveling such great distances for the shoot. Same thing happend in The Hobbit trilogy, in which all scenes involving Lee's character Saruman were filmed with him without his co-stars in front of green screen. As we all know, Battle of the Five Armies turned out to be Lee's final movie before his death on 7 June 2015 at the age of 93.

Dooku is by far my favorite sith lord from the entire Star Wars Saga, mainly from the prequel movies. As he is an incredible character with alot of potential, unfortunately he is underrated. Because villains like Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Darth Maul, and Kylo Ren all left their mark on the Saga for various reasons. Their memorable presence, their stylish aesthetic, or their ability to make even a Sith Lord seem sympathetic are all impactful. But no person, could best exemplifies the qualities that make a great villain like the elegantly Count Dooku. As his contribution to the saga was that mainly he foreshadowed Anakin Skywalker's fall to the dark side long before the Revenge of the Sith (2005) and also he saw that the Jedi had fallen from grace, that they were no longer protectors of peace. The Jedi cared too much about intervening in politics and letting their hubris get to them. In a way, he was correct and the tragic deaths of Order 66 show that. But the most important is his distinction from the rest of the Sith lords that came before and after him, as Count Dooku’s appearance, like his comportment, is incredibly refined. He doesn’t wear a hooded cloak like a Sith, but a grand cape with a clasp. And as well his curved lightsaber became one of the most recognized lightsabers in Star Wars history, due that his curved hilt gave a sense of elegance and grace compared to other Sith lightsabers that where designed to be bigger and scarier.

I still wish he'd been featured so much more heavily as truly pursuing his own agenda against the completely amoral, self-serving Sidious and the rule of 2. It might well be the only fault of Lee's performance, indirect as it is, but I find him so captivating and capable in his own right that it feels disappointing how he just kind of slots into place with Sidious' machinations right up to the moment of his death without ever realising the inevitability of it or acting on his own terms more to foresee or secure a means of his own survival and benefit.

Rip Christopher Lee, always loved Dooku, sure there’s Clone Wars which I love but it’s not the same as seeing him in live action, I wish Attack of the Clones was a better introduction to him and for him.

Dave Filoni doesn’t write Count Dooku as a character well in The Clone Wars. In fact, he said that other than because he is a fan of Maul, Maul being in that show was actually because he didn’t know what to do with Dooku and Grievous in the show. I would’ve loved to see *this* Count Dooku in The Clone Wars more… the Dooku who was far more morally grey than just bad, willing to work with his supposed enemies to secure his own agenda unrelated to what his master Sidious or the Jedi Order wanted, instead of him just being portrayed as 'bad guy under Sidious but above Grievous' as I would say he is in most of The Clone Wars.

Funny how Count Dooku literally revealed everything to Obi Wan but they never ever planned to at least spy on Palpatine's movements after this. Major, major incompetence from the Jedi. They deserved to be defeated.
