The “Omega” of the X-wing Series; the end of an era of fantastic games by LucasArts.
The day and life of the Rebellion and receiving help from neutral merchants such as the Azzameen family. After delivering Bacta to a Rebel base, the Azzameens head home in their YT-2000 Corellian transport the Otana with X-wing escort. However, Imperial forces arrive with Star Destroyers and TIE fighters. The Rebel base fire shots from their ion cannon to disable one of the Star Destroyers while the X-wings engage the TIEs in a heated dogfight.
The TIEs inflict damage to the Otana but the X-wings manage to destroy them allowing the Otana to fly past the disabled Star Destroyer and jump to hyperspace. However while in hyperspace, the Azzameens note the damage is pretty severe so they make a stop at a station where they’re quickly shooed away because the station doesn’t want to deal with anyone who is helping out the Rebellion as most merchants want to stay out of the Galactic Civil War.
This leads to the Azzameens home base where one of their two YT-1300 transports picks up a container and drops it off before it flies off for a delivery. Millennium Falcon fans will recognize these ships as it’s the same class as Han Solo’s famous transport.
The story of X-wing Alliance (XWA) follow the Azzameen family, neutral traders who are sympathetic to the Rebellion and help them out when they can, making deliveries and what not. However when the Empire makes things personal they’re forced to join the Rebellion and partake in events leading up to the Battle of Endor.
