Old Republic era is by far my favorite, that was when the sith vs jedi rivalry was at its peak and it was beautiful

That was the most winnable battle you've ever retreated from. You had the best Golan you could get with still half shields left and infinite reinforcements with the majority of their fleet damaged

I think building up Mon Cala is a good thing to do with an Ion Cannon and producing starships there as extra line of defense. The Invincible-Class Dreadnoughts will be your temporary capital ship in the era. Acclamators will be your main/fast DPS units. In the early era, Invincibles and Acclamators will be your best bet on dealing the CIS starships. Put the Commandos down at the ground just in case Kamino gets attack. Kamino has discount for clones, Kuat can discoung most of your starships.

My favourite era is the clone wars but I love the empire vs rebel era also, we don’t talk much about the first order and the resistance era tho 🤣🤣🤣

I hope you enjoyed this play through. I am sticking with Republic at War. It just seems a little more streamlined, this one is the same but wants to be better so all the extra units and ships are just fluff, in my opinion. I like to tweak game file anyway. I set B1 droid units to not cost any “population”. It reflects on ground battles as well. Only if I’m playing them, otherwise, the battle can really push your CPU into overdrive with all the units. It makes for some epic last stands though. But yeah, I just bought the old Galactic Battlegrounds(the only other game made with the same engine was Age of Empire 2), and it just made me want to dive back into another 40 hour play through as the clones. If you turtle, damn does it get tough.

This mod seems much better than Republic at war. It seems to take what was great about Republic at War and Awakening of the Rebellion and made one excellent mod from It.

My biggest complaint with this mod is that it's seemingly never heard the phrase, "Less is more". There are so many units with near-identical functionality that could have been cut without negatively affecting the gameplay experience, the UI is cluttered with detailed information that I don't really need to know (I just need to know what this unit is good against!), and it's added a boatload of new mechanics like ship crews when the old system of just credits was more than adequate. Plus, a lot of the smaller units like fighters and infantry are so small I can barely see them without zooming in.

fair critique. I think the devs for this mod are going for cannon/eu accuracy (i.e. what is out there we can include, so let's include it) more then saying we've already got something that does this and then just adding another to do the same thing willy nilly.

I mean, the base game way of saying "good/bad against" wasn't that smart at all since it works for 2 units each. The moment you have more units, the moment it reaches the end of its usefulness. Also while I get the criticism of too many units, I think one should point out that they are "build options". You can also just not build them if you don't like them, but others who do can build them. The resources and ship crews on the other hand are meant to prevent blitzing and steamrolling which is the number 1 problem this game has. It forces you to do more than just spam units which is a good thing. The problem with infantry and fighters might be valid, but I personally prefer it if a game/mod doesn't randomly scale units. The mod has all units accurately scaled to each other which is what I prefer over cases like base game where a fighter was as big as an ISD bridge.

When you go to the workshop, search for the mod, then you just need to click subscribe and it will download it for you. Corey (mod author) then has some good videos on how to easily play it.
