Temuera's voice has that soft yet firm tone to it that carries just enough authority to command a presence without being blatant. His casting as Jango Fett and the clones is almost as perfect as Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi.
@@tonyp4092 calling the creator of Star Wars a POS? He created his legacy then he wanted to retire with said legacy living on forever with Disney and also he made billions from it. Your the POS dude.
@@piercelindenberg6842 I wish they’d bring him back and cast him as some of the younger clones if they did anything with the clones, lol. I think that would be cool.
I just realized, Daniel Logan gave the best performance of any child actor in any Star Wars movie directed by George Lucas. Boba Fett seemed like a real kid; not an awkward child in a costume who sounded like he was reading lines from a script.
@@beerrox711 Lucas should never have written Anakin as a bowl-cutted little boy. Jake Lloyd didn't have the chops to have a leading role at that age, and Lucas was *atrocious* at directing children. Anakin should have been the same age as Padme, and Hayden Christensen should have played the role in all three movies.
HaloModder555 I highly doubt they'd key out blur though (it's Jango Fett after all) so it'll probably just look like the world's most useless umbrella.
***** What's interesting (that I did not catch until recently) is if you watch Jango Fett vs Mace Windu. You will find Jango starts his jetpack right before Mace Windu slices his hand off. But if you watch in slow motion you'll see the jetpack sparks and doesn't work (because he was trampled by a beast). So it leaves you to wonder if his jetpack worked what would that fight have been like.
***** Yeah but we dont know if he survived or not because he never shows up in the rest of the movie. They never show him escaping the sarlacc, nor is he in any of the subsequent scenes in the movie
How many would agree that George Lucas did the right thing in swapping Jeremy Bulloch's voice with Temuera Morrison's voice of Boba Fett purely for continuity purposes as Jango Fett was the origin of all the Clone Troopers including his son Boba Fett, who Jango kept as a son.
I believe they should've left it and had an explanation for the voice like drugs or something. However, Daniel Logan today could possibly play a young Boba Fett since he looks similar to Morrison
I wish he could redo them, though. The new lines were half assed and done over the phone. Morrison voiced Boba in EA Battlefront and he spoke some of the same lines. They were done much better than his in ESB.
His smile is so sweet and heartwarming. He is so excited. I'm so used to him being such a serious kid in the movies. Plus his darth maul tshirt is awesome.
I like hearing that Temuera Morrison took the kid who played Boba under his wing during the shooting of the movie. It's always nice to hear when actors do that. He seems like a really cool guy.
***** Seems to me that the Mando culture is modeled pretty closely with the Maori. It also seems to me that the Vode An song is like a Maori Haka. My Brother showed me a video of a Haka done by Kiwi forces in Afghanistan to honor their fallen. It was very stirring to the heart of a warrior, and made me feel like I did when I graduated from boot camp.
***** Couldn't have picked a better culture to emulate, in my opinion. I was 5 years old in '77, and I've always been a fan of Boba Fett's, so I've tried to learn as much about his cultural origins as I could. As a Legacy Marine, I could also empathize with their warrior traditions.
Ka Bar Brother Its a shame that most of background isnt canon anymore, but who cares what fucking Lucas said. The only souce besides the movies ive owned about the Mandalorians was comic issue, the backstory of Jango Fett, how he fought the Deathwatch and when he meet's with Tyrannus. Damned, i wished ive got that comic anymore.
***** I know... How do you just erase decades of canon in one film?...lol I got most of my Mando knowledge through reading the Republic Commando series of novels by Karen Traviss. Great series.
Ira ProV well, actual armor will always look better than CGI armor. Compare Jango's armor to the Clone trooper armor in the same movie... pretty big difference. The clone armor looks horrible.
Ira ProV Meaning that is still restricts your movement a lot. Of course plastic does not stop laser blasts... they are movie props. No real life blasters either. The point is it looks more realistic to have a physical object than a CGI one.
Daniel Smith Actually each episode of The Prequel Trilogy has more practical effects than the entire Original series combined. People call things CGI that are real effects. (FYI)
I love how the kid playing boba just doesn’t care too much so Temeura is telling him to go ask George for his motivation and trying to give him tips in acting
to be honest, CGI is the least important problem the prequels have. If there was a solid storyline, i wouldnt give a crap if they filmed it with CGI Alec Guinness.
+Forseti Justika I may be liking star wars for the "wrong" reasons but I actually started liking it because the prequels and the games. Then I saw the originals, my god I was in love. Everyone has a different definition of good. I guess that's why there are so many prequel and original arguments. I like star wars as it is and I think that they shouldn't have replaced the original Boba voice. I like Morrison's voice but I like the original fett voice too. I'm done defending the prequels honestly, I've came to terms that I like what I like and other people like what they like.
In my opinion, the Force is a huge elephant-in-the-room handicap that Sith and Jedi use as a crutch in combat. The reason Boba, Jango, and, to an extent, most other Mandalorian style bounty hunter are my favourite characters in the Star Wars universe is because they rely solely on their natural skill and combat prowess as well as they're man-made equipment. The fact that Jango did as well as he did against Obi is a testament to his awesomeness. In any Star Wars story, I'll always cheer for the bounty hunters. They need more spotlight time for sure.
***** you do realize in star wars just because you do not believe in the force does not mean you are not using the force. the Mandos reflexes and skills are honed from training, but you also realize that jedi also train a lot as well. the difference is that jedi train physically, mentally and in the force.
I keep hearing that Boba survived the encounter with the Sarlacc, so if he appears in a sequel, they could get Temuera Morrison to play him, seeing how Boba is a clone.
I love Temuera’s constant sarcasm about Lucas.. “What’s my line?” “Go ask the director what my motivation is” you just know Lucas doesn’t have an answer
I actually don't hate the prequels. I see the Prequels/Originals as the balance in the force. If you want to see fun adventure movies with great characters then watch the originals, and if you're like me more interested in all the backstory of Anakin, Obi Wan, Boba Fett, the Death Star and the political stuff forward to the rise of the Empire, then enjoy the Prequels. I don't see why people hate them, they weren't made to be better than the original but just to tell another part of the story.
+Javier Torres they hate them because nerds can never be satisfied, they always complain about everything and they think they are so smart for doing so
***** the prequels have aged just as well as the original trilogy, if not better. except for Episode 2, that was garbage at release. people always pretend like the original trilogy is so great, but its just as fake looking as the prequels
+Billy Blaster Because back when they were filming the original trilogy the technology and cgi wasn't great, so of course the special effects won't look good.
+Auriel Ayala Sure. But people still exaggerste their love of "practical effects". The CGI version of Yoda (prequels) looks a thousand times better than the puppet used in the originals. Plus the originals have been updated heavily with effects too. Both trilogies are going to age over time. I know people who refuse to watch the originlal trilogy cos they know it was madw in the 70's.
I love this at 4:16. George is infamous for his directing skills. I've seen actors complain when they ask Lucas for motivation he gives them these off-the-wall answers.
I love Temuera Morrison as Jango Fett. He's so tough and badass and his voice is rad as hell. To me Jango was the best thing in Attack of the Clones. I loved all of Jango's scenes except for when he dies. I wish they never killed him off. I feel what they should have done was have Temuera Morrison play Boba Fett himself. So instead of be Jango's father he would have been Boba Fett at the start of his career. Have him survive the battle of Geonosis, they could have used him somewhere in Episode III. Instead of killing him off like nothing :(.. I hate how he just gets his head cut off right away. They should have kept him alive and maybe kill him in Episode III.
He was set to appear in the third film but they never found an actor and he didnt make it. He was supposed to be shown together with the wookies as a kid.
Cool, in 1999 at a Comic Convention is Rosement, I saw Antony Daniels :) I myself didn't meet him, but I saw him from like 20 feet away as he was signing autographs. I think it would have cost $20 for an autograph, and I was only 11 in 1999.
Count me in. I guess I like Jango more because I actually got to see backstory about him, for example the Comics about his past with Jaster Mereel and the Death Watch. But I've never really looked into Boba, so...
but not with child anakin actor. he's always bullied in school because he's getting chance to like this. now he's in 20s and suffer from schizophrenia.
I'm so glad Boba got what he deserved with Mando season 2 but I really feel like Jango had so much more to cover, even seeing more of him raising Boba would have been great since the was missing in the clone wars
3:45 "Believe me this is rain, this is real rain". One of the few "real" things in the movie besides the green screen...Still great flick, I love you SW
+Alejandro Méndez I suggest doing some research on the matter. boards.theforce.net/threads/practical-effects-in-the-prequels-sets-pictures-models-etc.50017310/
+ShamanMcLamie LOL!!! I know people have absolutely no fucking clue that the prequels used a lot of sets that weren't all CGI! That said, all of todays movies used a lot of CGI but if there was ever a movie that fit CGI it would be Star Wars.
