Agree, everybody else has a studio name or animation or jump into a fight scene or just an aerial view of a city. Nothing sticks out as much as this. They took the words the intro should describe the setting and situation literally and along with brilliant music, created a masterpiece.

Star Wars are exactly the kind of movies which I would forever prefer to see in theater than at my home. I know lots of people today prefer to watch new movies at their homes instead of going to the theater and pandemic even amplyfied it, but there's nothing like pure joy I feel when I watch Star Wars in theaters. When I'm in the theater with my friends, hardcore Star Wars fans aswell (sometimes wearing even costumes too) and then the epic "baaaaam" comes and crawl starts rolling with this iconic theme there are tears in my eyes. That's pure joy, the moment I feel trully happy and forget about everything bad. And there's nothing more cool thant to see people lifting their lightsabers over their head during the end credits. This is simply something you can never experience at your home, while wathcing the movie on your laptotp. This is why I hope theaters wont die. It's not just about movie it's also about experience.
I had always ~liked~ Star Wars, I enjoyed the originals and even thought the prequels had their merits. But I never got the awe and devotion that it inspired in some people. Then I bought a movie ticket with my friends to celebrate the end of my first semester as a college Freshman. This music blared through the theater, and in an instant, I got it. I understood all of it. What it meant to love this franchise.
i get what you're saying. it's art, like the artist intended. I've seen the Mona Lisa on my laptop and in books. Then I saw it for real in Paris. I got it. I understood. Same thing with Rodan and Monet. In a book, on a screen.....that's not what the artist created. that's a photographic reproduction of art, inaccurate size and without the 3rd dimension (missing a WHOLE DIMENSION is huge when you think about it...like missing that star wars music in a surround sound theater setting). When I was 16, i didnt care much for cars. Then one day, I heard a guy start his classic corvette in a parking lot and the GROWL of the engine rattled my lungs. The pop up headlghts came open, like eyes on sleeping tiger that smells prey. Last time a growl rattled my lungs was a lion roar in Uganda...from like 1 mile away. In that instant, I got it.
Lights turn down, trailers stop and everything is black in the theatre. Then a blue text with the phrase: "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" fades in and after that the Star Wars Logo apears as the main theme plays. Screams of emotion are heard between the crowd. I have the picture of that happening in December. I cant wait!
I remember sitting in the movie theater eating warm pop corn theaters cheering in excitement star wars theaters will always be the best movie for, me to watch in theaters.
Just saw it and I loved the movie! I was smiling so bright when the intro came on! I love Star Wars. But I could just wish it had another ending, because I didn’t like what they did to Ben. But overall the movie was pretty epic.

I like the plot of the movies, movie theories, the music (especially the intro - it gives me goosebumps every time!) but the movies themselves are visually overwhelming, so I’ve been trying to bring myself to watch them

You know I wished that they could have put this Version in VII-IX 😒😎💯 Cause this comes from Episodes I-III and personally and I think I speak for allot of others too that this is the best Musical Orchestrated version of all the trilogies. Why, cause it sounds SO clear🤩 and So Modern of today. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the old classic SW version theme May the force be with you.👐

You have many epic musics from movies and series out there and this is one of them. Everytime i listen this i want to travel across the universe and defend all galaxy from evil! And be proud to die to that cause xD. Also this remembers me stargate and the game mass effect dont know why.
You're the only person on RU-vid who has this particular version of the Star Wars Theme. Even though this technically is the theme from the 5th and 6th movie (A New Hope had a different theme) , I don't care. I'll excuse your mistake seeing as I like this version of the theme the best.

I didn't know that when i posted my comment, but you're right! I was also wrong about this theme, it's from the Prequel Trilogy, not the Original Trilogy!
