I always wondered why Hera's monologue focused on one boy and one girl. Ezra is clearly the protagonist of the show, but why elevate Sabine, a supporting character, to the same narrative level? Then I realised, Hera was referring not to one boy and one girl, but two of each. She was referring to both Kanan, and herself, as well as Ezra and Sabine. Rebels was a story about both pairs, and how everyone changed. I feel like Zeb and Chopper got a bit left out, but they were the least developed members of the 6-person/droid crew, so I guess they don't get a place in the monologue.
Season 1: Ezra is obviously having a crush on Sabine Season 2: Ezra and Sabine are just siblings Season 3: their relationship grows into very close friends Season 4: Sabine starts having feelings for Ezra and at the end falls in love when Ezra sacrificed himself.
@@gibbs615 That's fine. And leaving their relationship ambiguous is great. If people wanna ship them, ship them. If people want them to be sibling figures, power to them.
Well in Greek there are four main words for love that mean different things some see the relationship as Philia or brotherly love. Some see it as Eros wich is romantic love. I don't think the other two apply but here they are Storge is a empathetic love and Agape wich is parental or God love
Ezra sacrificed him self of Sabine, and the Crew he fought alongside with. In The End, He save those who he loved, and care for. Ezira is like his parents, that way.
I think they grew from not knowing each other, with Ezra harboring a huge crush on Sabine. To mutual love and respect for each other. Ezra and Sabine were both willing to do whatever it would take to save their home world. They both were so hurt of what the empire had done to their worlds. They understood each other in a way no one else would. The way Sabine tells him to get out of the ship before it disappears hits me every time! She was so scared and her heart was breaking in that moment!
This comment doesn't make sense since the Empire arguably did worse to Zeb's homeworld. They also occupied Hera's homeworld, we just don't see it depicted in the show. So Ezra and Sabine definitely aren't the only people who can relate to each other on that topic.
I love how Rebels showed the galaxy from a completely different angle than the Clone Wars did! From a small squad of underdogs taking potshots at the Galactic Empire to being part of the largest revolutionary movement the galaxy has seen! Sure some people disliked the series for various reasons but I enjoyed it for the fact that it brought the overarching message of hope and perseverance through adversity that is Star Wars! *"It's journeys through the Force that matter!"* - Jedi Master Qui-gon Jinn to Ben Kenobi
Oh wow, the music at the beginning set such a lovely tone for this video! It's so cute watching Sabine and Ezra's relationship change and grow, starting as awkward teens and then going on crazy adventures tomorrow. Ezra was so loving and encouraging to Sabine; I especially like the scene when he tossed her his lightsaber.
Their relationship evolution is amazing, in the 4st season they have always together and this was so beautiful to see. The end comprove how close they stay over time. They are the best duo and I hope see their reunion soon, because I love them.
Didn't really ship them the first time watching Rebels, but the series finale with Sabine staying on Lothal and the way she looked at the mural, started making me think something was there. After re-watching Rebels, you notice the little hints of maybe there is something more, just they don't realize it, Sabine especially. Which makes the ending that much sadder for Sabine's arc, where I believe that she realized her feelings the minute Ezra went through that vent to turn himself in, and by then it was too late. I hope they do make it canon in the sequel series, or if they both show up in the Ashoka series. But who knows what Disney has planned.
I knew sabine and ezra had feelings for each other, or at least I knew there was more between the two of them then just the affection of friends (I was only around 17 or 18 when I first watched it and now I'm 24 and just now I realize what it was), it were just those small subtle things, like the way they talk to each other and the way they look at each other. I have to admit that it was best noticeable from ezra to sabine then the other way around, depending on the situation they were in. I can't wait to see what happens with them when they will be seen as life action characters, as most people I'll hope of course that they will have a relationship with each other.
@@ur.imagination I have to commit that you have a point there. But maybe (a really big maybe) there is more going on between the two of them. We will only know that when we see them again, maybe in life action, this is a really big 'maybe' of course
I love that disney likes to put the most unexpected relationships together and then leave the most real and relatable as ‘just friends’ 😂😂 like sabine and ezra!
Ezra and Sabine are two characters that I love and I think are great characters on their own, but when they’re together, they’re even better. I know they have their own defining character moments that have nothing to do with the other, like Ezra’s sacrifice and Sabine’s training with the darksaber, but I feel some of the best moments in the show for me is when these two interact, especially in later seasons. In my opinion, Ezra and Sabine are great characters, but they’re better when they’re together. I hope the Ahsoka series will deliver on that. I can’t wait to see these two reunite. Amazing video!
I love Ezra and Sabine.....I hope they meet again and get together (think about it, if they had a kid....they would not only be half Jedi and Madalorian......but they would be so badass). #ezrabine4ever.
Seeing this video just now makes me realize that Ezra and Sabine came a long way. Ezra became a full matured Jedi and Sabine became more complete than before.
100% they do like each other and I hope she finds her man and I hope he's alive in The Ahsoka in the series hope they can find him and it would be awesome
You know, when the two looked at each other when Ezra was about to leave to turn himself in, it would have been perfect if she had hugged him before he left. Kissing would've pushed it, but hugging would've been perfect.
She couldn't go towards him, that would call too much attention of their crew. He needed a distraction and she trusted him enough to help him do that. She probably only wasn't counting on the fact that he wouldn't come back after leaving
My favorite conversations between these two are when they’re in the sewer and Sabine says speaking of which it does smell like you,I’ll damage you if you don’t shut up and hang on,whoa
Star Wars Rebels: The best of Star Wars. The best of Disney and TV in general! Am I right or am I right? 1) Character Building 2) Solid Storyline 3) Doesn't draw too much from plot twists or nostalgia 4) has realistic characters and relationships
I always said that they have shared feelings, but that being in constant danger in a context of war, and that being young they have certain insecurity in themselves, they never established themselves in a formal relationship, but that the fact that they always showed support mutual, mainly in Mandalore, I think that when they return to their story in the Ashoka series, probably and I hope they will, they will return to their relationship.
Aww this is is the sweetest video I have ever seen!! And it's so emotional...all the adorable scenes of Sabine and Ezra. I love how their relationship grew to be so strong and close, and how they went from typical awkward teenagers to mature and strong (but still occasionally awkward) grown-up warriors. I really hope their story continues and we can see what their relationship really is!!! As for me, I ship #ezrabine forever!!!!
They are like Hera AND Kanan .... Hera hide her feelings from Kanan til' season 3 AND 4,. Kanan was a pirate when Hera meet him, Hera was a Badass girl... Hera born in a powerful family as Sabine both be rejected by her family, grew up fighting ... Kanan alone kid became a Jedi máster, sacrifice for his love ones,. As Ezra ... The difference maybe for the 1st Time with Star wars couples stay together without tragedy
Wow this was such a cute video. A throw back to the growth of Ezra and Sabine, as individuals and as a team. I’m glad a cliché romantic relationship wasn’t forced upon the two characters. Instead it was just natural; an awkward beginning transforming into a strong friendship. I think what is great about that is that if they choose to down the line, assuming Ezra is found, the two could develop a romantic relationship, and it wouldn’t be out of the blue as most young love is😅. This video satisfied my love for the pair; as best friends, or future soulmates😊
If you see an episode of Rebels and are not sure from which season it is, just look at Sabines hair, because she got different haircut and/or colour for every new season :)
I like to think it was indirectly confirmed mainly by how they interacted and looked at each other. Even from Season 1 you could tell she did care about him at least a little.
I never understood the criticism for "Rebels." I thought it was good in the first 2 seasons then epic in the last 2. I hope Jon and Dave bring Sabine and Ezra back together in the Mandalorian or Ashoka series.
Rebels sequel is probably being released this summer. Can't wait to see how they follow this up. Edit: Sorry, this was before it was announced that the sequel was reportedly being scrapped for a live-action story in the Ahsoka series (really disappointed about that).
It’s surreal to think we are literally gonna get a rebels season 5 hopefully , with zeb and kallus even . The fact we see ahsoka come here and then we gonna get it in the show and then a continuation is so cool
