Happy 40th anniversary to Return of the Jedi. May the force be with all of us.

And THAT is how you conclude a franchise!

I'm 48 years old and this just made me cry.

This may be the greatest and is most definitely the most underrated piece of music in all of Star Wars! Sure, Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes are inherently epic, and Imperial March and the Mandalorian theme will always be iconic, and the Force theme and Main Theme are both emotional and iconic, and not to mention all the epic and iconic and emotional themes this franchise has produced over the years, but this is perfect. Simple perfect. The Main Theme perfected.

I just now realized that main theme from Jedi Fallen Order was inspired by Victory Celebration

You will be always the return of the Jedi to the galaxy, Grand Master Luke skywalker.

This is the true ending of Star Wars. Anakin Skywalker was redeemed and he destroyed the Sith once and for all. Palpatine is dead! The Empire is no more. Han, Luke, and Leia are alive and go on to rebuild the Jedi. This is where the story ends. May the Force be with you all!

This was really what I needed as someone who grew up with the original trilogy. Bring it all right back to the beginning, back to our Luke as he was meant to be.

In the lofty treetops of the giant Endor trees, still dazed by the overflowing celebrations and tears of joy from his comrades, exhausted from the hardships of the final confrontation with his destiny, Luke Skywalker suddenly felt a familiar warmth in his heart asking him to lift his gaze. And there, in the semi-darkness of the branches, the ghostly figures of Obi-Wan and Yoda took shape. Was it imagination? Was it exhaustion conjuring illusions for him? Or were the spirits of his mentors truly reaching out to him through the Force? In their familiar faces, Luke read a peaceful symphony of relief, joy, pride, and recognition. A soft smile played on his lips. Yet, there was another energy, a third one. Firm and warm. An energy that could only exist between parents and their children. An energy that sent glowing rays of love through the Force directly into his heart. He could feel his inner child rejoice as the blissful realization came to him: Father! Alongside Yoda, Anakin Sykwalker's ghostly outlines now emerged from the damp night mist. Greeting his former mentor, Obi-Wan, and Yoda with a friendly smile, Anakin turned to his son who was almost overwhelmed by the comforting warmth that his father bestowed upon him with a gaze filled with gratitude and love. Luke's knees grew weak and began to tremble. But the emerging yearning for the protective arms of his father immediately turned into a deep connection of interwoven, uplifting bliss. Whether it was imagination or not, it didn't matter to him. The faces of his father and mentors would forever be a gateway to the Light Side of the Force for Luke, connecting him with their love until his last day. He felt Leia approaching. And as her arms closed around his shoulders and he looked into her joyful eyes, Luke knew that he would never be alone. And so, with a gentle smile of a deeply connected farewell, Luke turned away from the mythical spirits of the Force and followed Leia back to the large campfire where the victory of the Alliance over the tyranny of the Galactic Empire was being celebrated. And he was content, for he knew: His family was with him - always.

This is an amazing rendention of this end music - and it makes me wish they would use it in the Ahsoka series or other places - so it isn't just a one-off track.

I would love to hear this on iTunes! Fantastic work! It was fun seeing this on the big screen again, since I last saw it in 1997 when the Special Editions were a huge deal. And yes I am a fan of the Special Editions. Of course, I love the original versions but no matter which version you watch you are still going to get a great movie. Ab-so-lutely phenomenal!

For some reason i think this fits better than the original (og tho is still great) this makes me feel a different way. The empire and palpatine have been destroyed, Darth Vader, lukes own father, is redeemed from the dark side. His body is burned showing that the man who once was vader is no more, he is now anakin skywalker again. Luke saved the Jedi and freed the galaxy from tyranny. Han and Leia get married, and as look celebrates his victory over evil, his mentors, obi-wan kenobi and yoda are standing there as ghosts, smiling becuase luke has won. And with them is not the sith lord that he was familiar with, but it was his father standing with them.

Good rendition, but it's sacrilege to say that it could replace John Williams' original version (he did score it for the Special Editions as a replacement for the "Yub Yub" song right?). Tweak anything else in the original trilogy, but you can't touch John Williams. I remember watching a documentary where Lucas said he never asked Williams to make revisions; he just knew the score to fit the scene.

This is what we'll play the day Kathleen Kennedy leaves Lucasfilm.

*Dancing Ewoks and Rebels* ...damn those memories as a little kid excited that the good guys won. Peace was restored to the galaxy...Luke saved his Father, Leia and Han together with his pal Chewie, the droids chillin and celebrating... Then as a kid I read DARK EMPIRE and realized 😮 their adventures are not over?!?! Then came Dark Forces 2 Jedi Knight and more comics and novels and my heroes were aging well but had amazing stories and adventures! It was amazing to be a Star Wars fan as a kid in the late 80's and 90's ... ...then the trolls and bullies of the galaxy forced George Lucas to sell his product to the growing empire of Disney...and 40 years of Star Wars were lost due to the words " Non-Canon...😐 * Alderran Explodes*
