I think we’re gonna get another flashback and there’s something more; Torbin is guilty about something

Yeah it's basically Rashamon. No one has the complete story We probably won't know what really happened till episode 5

The witches did not seemed to die due to the fire, so clearly something else happened, something that Osha is not aware of... And what a loss, the witches were awesome... i loved them

Did some digging... according to wookiepedia... Plagueis could either be a teen or not been born yet at this point, so that would leave Tenebrus as the possible big named Sith... and eventually if Qimir is the apprentice and is defeated... that leading to Plagueis...

"And what if the Jedi discover how you created them?" I think that line is a crucial point here. Maybe Torbin saw something while he was under the mother's spell. I mean Torbin had to do something that created that insane guilt that made him take the poison but I doubt the Jedi would've just taken them all out (if it was the fire/explosion then thats just lazy writing). Mae's dark master is probably involved somehow in this too. Too many questions, that will get answered, but I'm impatient.

Yeah, I do wonder if whatever Torbin endured with the black eyes changed him going forward, somewhat leading to his mental state and death.

For me, it is the "taking a page from Darth Plagueis storyline" so close to the prequel timeline while he could be running around in the galaxy.

Leslie mentioned enjoying Rashomon.. which surrounds a particular event but told through different povs.. this is likely Oshas pov..

Which tells me once we have Sol and Mae's povs, we'll likely have the full truth.

My mom was staring at me when that Witch ceremony played, she was like "I don't have to let you look at this..."....but I'm just looking at this show cuz it's summer and it's something I want to watch so this summer can go by more faster! 😅

I have so many more questions now 😂We got Osha's perspective tonight and I'm betting we will get other's. Mother Koril is sus. I want to know what the energy thing in the middle of their mountain was. It seems all the witches took themselves out or something. My head is spinning. On another note, Kelnacca is played by Joonas Suotamo, who played Chewie in the sequels.

I kept hearing rumors about this episode being the most controversial and potentially divisive of the season. Yet I found it to be my favorite episode thus far, and the most compelling. So much lore-building, here. And easily the most beautifully photographed and scored episode yet. After what I felt were an interesting yet “iffy” first two episodes, this one has reinvested my interest in the series, and my desire to continue with it eagerly. We clearly weren’t intended to learn the whole backstory in this episode, but rather one POV of the events, likely Osha’s. I expect we will see Mae’s in an upcoming episode, hopefully next week.

@@OneProtagonist it’s a helluva leap from Padawan to knight to master in six years while dealing with that level of guilt, but Vernestra became a master at 15, so those leaps can happen quickly

I think a lot of things happened at once I think Torbin did something after the mother put that spell on him like he got freaked out and he was a padawan bad combo and when they're mother said she created them it reminded me of what Palpatine said about Darth Plagueis he was so powerful and so wise he could use the force to influence the midiclorians to create life

Still a layer of what happened that night that we have not seen. I personally think the Jedi group ran in and killed all the witches. And then Sol comes running out with Osha. My own theory is that the witches have loose relation to Sith. They have a thing with 2's. Always 2.
@OneProtagonist
@OneProtagonist 2 месяца назад
I could see Indara convincing the others they need to take both children, and when they return, during a tense conversation with the witches (almost fighting but not yet) the explosion happens causing the fight to begin and the witches are wiped out.

I’m surprised the Force didn’t bite back immediately after Mae & Osha were created…but waited ‘til Plagueis & Sidious attempted to create life….also I’m getting Master Kan [Caine’s sensei (Kung Fu)] vibes from Sol.

I definitely think something else was going on in the background of this episode. This feels very much how Osha remembers it, and there are things she doesn't know. I'm sure we are going to get another flash back that fills in the gaps. I really liked this episode. I found the coven really fascinating. I like that they view the force as the thread. That it ties, it binds, it leads, and it pulls. I have a feeling that there will be a couple twists and turns before this is over. I think the jedi definitely did something. It sounded like the jedi shouldn't have been there to begin with. They tried quoting republic law when that planet wasn't part of the republic.

Also, I finally figured out why the burning covenant made me cringe within 10 minutes. It reminds me of the Jonestown incident.

Yeah, the more I sit with this episode, the more I believe we're going to get another flashback filling in more pieces. It may take reuniting with Kelnacca to trigger our next piece of the puzzle.

This is going to sound like a wild theory but if Aniseya (the head mom) isn't actually the Sith lord hiding in plain sight, then at the very least she's sus. Since this show is built upon unreliable narrators I'm not entirely convinced she's dead. I saw another fan mention that her name means "resurrection" in ancient Greek, and when you pair that with her creation of the twins, her _insistence_ on putting them through the Ascension ceremony (Force dyad much), AND the way she manipulated Torbin, the picture starts to look really weird. If Torbin felt guilty, how do we know his mind wasn't taken over again? What if he was mind-controlled to start the fire, thereby creating a reason for the Jedi to feel responsible and the perfect opportunity for the Sith to undermine their credibility? It's possible that the other mom being more of a hardass while Aniseya was the "nice" one could've been a red herring, or Osha's misreading of things since this ep was primarily from her POV. Idk how to explain her letting Osha join the Jedi yet (other than again, another red herring), but the twin creation sounds exactly what Plagueis was trying to do in terms of influencing the midichlorians to create life. Plus we know in canon that Palpatine was obsessed with Force dyads. Even though he isn't alive yet here, that obsession had to come from _somewhere_ . Also Aniseya's line about power really stuck out to me. "This isn't about good or bad, it's about power" sounds an awful lot like that bit in Harry Potter where Voldemort told him "there is no good and evil, there is only power" and it also just sounds like something a Sith groupie would say (also isn't that line actually very close to part of the Sith code? something about there being no peace but power). So yeah while I think the witches on the whole were probably a neutral party, I do think some Sith/Dark Sider shenanigans were at work there in some way - either the mom was in on it willingly or she was being manipulated herself because somebody really wanted to get their hands on the Force dyad twins
@OneProtagonist
@OneProtagonist 2 месяца назад
That is a fascinating theory. Following that logic, it's possible the real goal was for Aniseya to make the Jedi BELIEVE they were dead, but something went wrong and most if not all really died. The events with Mae could have played out exactly as we saw, against Aniseya's plan, making her have to accept the death of the coven in order to at least save one of her daughters. I also think she was about to pull a Palps and either ihabit the girls, or siphon them for power. There was more to that ceremony than them agreeing to protect the coven.

I believe the outrage and fear surrounding Episode 3 were overblown. I didn't see anything that suggested a "forced female" agenda as some claimed. However, I did find the episode quite boring. Additionally, several elements didn't work for me. For instance, how does Osha know so much about the Jedi? Why are Padawans never allowed to see their families again? And why are the witches supposedly discriminated against? The show continues to tell rather than show important story beats, which causes me to lose interest.
@OneProtagonist

I can see the criticism, but respectfully don't agree. I feel this is setup like a murder mystery where we are told what happened at first, then over time the truth is shown to us through both present day actions and flashbacks. However, I know that's also not everyone's cup of tea.

Personally I'm not liking this series at all and I'm dipping out. My biggest issue is making Anakin not special anymore. The acting in some episodes was spotty and the writing terrible. Also I didn't know stone and metal are freakin more flammable than wood. So many plot holes and things not making sense, you have to reach hard to try to. Didn't enjoy this at all and stuck it out for 3 but ya I'm out.

Honestly can't even defend this episode even if I wanted to. They stole Dathomire and filled it with agenda....honestly it has put me off, I'm watching the rest but it seems like the force will be female after all 😢😢😢😢
@OneProtagonist
@OneProtagonist 2 месяца назад
It was a coven of witches. So, they needed to have males for it to be okay? So, if this had been a mix of genders and they were Sith, would you be mad they stole Korriban? It’s a big galaxy. I always expected other types of force users to exist and they’d have similarities to other existing religions.

@Sir_BlueWolf But you’re the one making it about gender. I just saw “a coven of witches.” At no point did my brain even care about their gender because they are WITCHES. In fact, in the end Osha was saved by a MAN. If you can’t handle something as benign as this, I’m not sure my very inclusive channel is the place for you.

@@OneProtagonist okay let me put it this way if they did rip of Korriaban and filled with agendas for both men and woman id be mad because of the agenda. Not that they stole it. It's the fact they stole it to push there agenda. If it makes sense besides this I've enjoyed acolyte
