@@teshiku1249 I think it's more to do with the fact that, going in, fans knew they were only getting 12 episodes for the absolute final season of a show that had "finished" more than a few years before. As a result, they were hoping for finales to character arcs and the like; Ahsoka on Mandalore, for example, showed us how far she had come, gave us another perspective on order 66 (one of the defining moments of the prequel trilogy that literally everything had been leading up to), etc etc. The stuff with Rex and the bad batch people were sort of okay with because it resembled your typical Clone Wars arc, introducing an interesting collection of Rambo/The expendables/typical action movie characters and brought back someone thought to be dead, giving Rex some more development and stuff to deal with. It wasn't the best - everyone was acutely aware of the fact that with only 12 episodes left, having 1/3 of them be a typical arc wasn't the best move, but oh well. For the Martinez sisters, I actually have zero problems with them. If this wasn't the final season I doubt people would care much about them or their episodes, but this WAS the final season, and the fans wanted every last drop of the remaining 8 episodes to cash in on all of the hype that was assigned to them from unfinished animatic such as the ones in this video - maybe fan favourites like Cad Bane and Boba Fett? Anakin dealing with Ahsoka's absence and more foreshadowing of his inevitable fall to the dark side? Apparently Yoda was doing something interesting but I don't know what? Instead of that however, we got a story that could probably have been done in 2-3 episodes in which the characters involved were directly responsible for the conflict of the episode as well as every time the stakes were raised. Couple this with a failed escape attempt taking up and entire episode, and you're left with fans who are more aware than ever that of three arcs they had available, 1 of them dealt with largely unimportant characters in an adventure unrelated to what the people came to the show for; the Clone Wars, the Jedi and the Sith. It was not a good time to introduce a character arc for entirely new characters and the fans were mad about it. The reason the Mandalorian doesn't have this problem, is that it's specifically made not to deal with any of the greater ongoing intergalactic conflicts, no known limit to the number of seasons (and thus no known limit of episodes) that can be pumped out, is set years after one big conflict (episode 6) and decades before the next (episode 7) and is thus free to do its own thing.

@@B.A.G.Studios not true, while Dave removed most of these scenes and rightfully so, it was disney who removed the Primitive dying scene. There is actually a fully rendered version out there somewhere and it is why that episode is only 18 minutes long

Filoni wanted to remove the Padme nose art scene because he thought one of her only appearances in the season shouldn't be like that.

That scene would be great as a flashback in the Kenobi series. I can definitely see a cold open to the pilot episode with that and then Obi-Wan waking up from a dream.

The thing I want to see the most is the Dooku Ventress Quinlan Vos story in the Clone Wars fashion

There was some important character development for Ahsoka in those episodes that was necessary to set up her arc in the Siege of Mandalore, but the Martez story definitely didn't need four whole episodes. In my opinion, they should have just cut it down to two and used the resources that would have been spent making the other two episodes to finish the Crystal Crisis ones.

It’s just a completely different mission that takes place before the movie where they discovered that the separatists where trying to acquire a giant lumber crystal that had been mined on Utapau. It’s not like they also discovered that Grievous also planned on establishing a base there after the Battle of Coruscant.

It's like the titanic, let's not try to act like it's not gonna happen.

Expecially when all the evidence towards her being blamed was *highly circumstantial.* The Jedi are not pure evil, but Bariss Offee describes well enough just how much they have lost their way. That was the Arc where I truly understood Anakins distrust in the Jedi council, because like him we knew Ahsoka would never turn against the Jedi, she says as much that the ways of the Jedi are sacred to her. And instead of sticking by her side like Obi-wan suggested, they cast her out to stay on good terms with the senate. They may vclaim they care for the citizens of the republic, but the show illustrates well enough that they only care about what goes on in the senate. As Ahsoka would admit, they are playing politics instead of helping the actual people that need them. Which is why it’s also not hard to believe why the Galaxy would also turn against the Jedi so quickly. The only ones who truly felt Regret in the end for Ahsoka leaving the order was Yoda, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Plo Koon. With Plo Koon you can almost see the sadness in him as someone who regarded him as family leaves, but still managed to have the hindsight to know that neither He nor Kenobi should get involved in Anakin and Ahsoka’s goodbyes.

Agreed. They set themselves up to fall. One of the reasons Anakin fell was because the order forced him to bottle up his emotions, leaving him with only palpatine to confide in.

The evidence mounted towards her was still pretty high and they even gave Ashoka a chance at a Jedi tribunal before the Republic court took her. I get the jedi had made bad mistakes but c'mon, did you even watch the arc?

@@brad5426 if you watched the Arc, you’d know how the evidence used to frame Ahsoka was circumstantial at best. The Jedi closest to Ahsoka knew she would never do the things she was being accused of. Anakin was the only Jedi vocal about the mistake the council was making while present with Ahsoka. The Jedi Council only expelled Ahsoka so they could stay on good terms with the Senate. They are politically driven rather then seeing that they were being manipulated by another entity. And that was how the Order failed Ahsoka, by not standing with her in the time she needed help most.

@@Fi_Sci_ This is true, but circumstantial evidence is not to dismiss good evidence especially when it's all you have. Who would you accuse of killing multiple clones with lightsaber wounds when Ashoka was the only jedi present at the scene with a lightsaber? I'm sorry, but the evidence mounted against Ashoka was hardrock from a outsider pov and I can totally understand how the jedi would have to give in to such evidence when no other truth was revealed until it was proven to be Bariss, who did a spontaneous job at staying away from the limelight.

But story wise it makes sense that the nose art scene is gone. The padme scene between padme, anakin and obi wan is suppose to have some emotional significance, its to show that obi wan has some responsibility of anakins demise as he was ignorant as well because he cared about anakin. When you have the nose art scene right after that, it completely dissolves the meaning of the previous scene and just sexualises padme which is like weird and misplaced. I mean its funny but im glad they didnt have it

But to be fair, I get your point on how u dont like disney playing it safe. Yeah sometimes they play I safe too much which prevents good storytelling

@@pakk_wong I don't think it ruins the point of the new scene, if anything it reinforces his attachment to Padme. Seeing Padme pinup art that doesn't negate the emotions of the last scene or any of the characters' feelings, and the fact it comes immediately after it makes this scene all the funnier. But I do get your point, maybe it would've worked if it was included with some extra lines.

Well Anakin never actually sees grievous in this episode so the “you’re shorter than I expected” still holds up

I mean it would still work. Grievous has never seen Anakins face so the line "I thought someone of your reputation to be a little more older" still makes sense

@Navin Singh Anakin's face was on the ground and Grievous was in shackles. They didn't see each other face to face, so that line in revenge of the sith isn't contradicted.

You can actually see this being enforced during the cave-chase where Anakin's trying to look at Grievous over his shoulder but never gets sight of the cyborg. They never have a face to face until Revenge of the Sith and the show goes out of its way to enforce this in the funniest ways it can think of.

Yeah but in the Ep 3 Anakin says to Dooku that his power doubled since the last time they met. He clearly ment Ep 2 which doesn't make sense.

I hated this season so much because it didn't feature Dooku and Grievous at all! I was so disappointed it made me cry. Especially since Maul has to get all the best scenes nowadays. He even stole Vader's corridor scene which is starting to annoy me

I've never finished reading this arc because of this. Does Dooku get treated with respect? Cause it seems like nowadays he's not treated with respect anymore, and Maul gets all the arcs instead. Because he's marketable, some people argue he's more powerful than Dooku (their fights against Kenobi speak volumes about that. Dooku 2v1's Anakin and Obi at their best and kicks Obi's butt every time with ease, whereas Maul dies twice, once even when Obi Wan was still a padawan) I don't dislike Maul. I just don't think it's fair to start boosting a character like that. He never was the most powerful Sith or anything, why boost him now? Anyway I'm kinda wasting your time, so... Does Dooku get his butt kicked? Or does he retain his cool and awesomeness, even if he doesn't kick anyone's butt is he still superior "mentally" (you know, noone can break him and he's still smug and feels awesome)?
