@Star Killer Man, I wish you were still a canon Star Wars character. Because if you were you could have showed up out of nowhere when Rey was taking the nickname "Skywalker" and beat the shit out of her! This would have been definitely a way better ending than the one we got in the "Rise of Skywalker.
According the Disney Canon, you just need to cross lightsabers and the lighting will bounce back and will kill Palpatine. Super easy and barely a inconvenience.
Even though it's not the canon ending, there is a nice symmetry to the way Starkiller destroys Vader. First he hurls him around like Vader did his father, and finally, just as he did as a kid, he rips the saber from his hand, only this time he impales him with it in true Sith style.
Sam Witwer does the best screams. That scream is so perfectly horrifying. 4:08 I really like this glimpse into what could have been. It shows what happens when you try to have your cake and eat it.
4:24 palpitine: i know u are stronger than me so i am going to put it in a heavy suit which is varniale to force lightning so now u can't reach your full potential
@@TheGreater-ScopeVillain Because like Vader he had thr potential to someday surpass him, so the Emperor took measures to assure that would not happen.
@@afroartist1086 He had the potential to be about _equal_ to Palpatine, not surpass him. The only two Force users in the history of the galaxy ever able to contend with Emperor Palpatine were Grandmaster Yoda (but even that was only up until the end of Revenge of the Sith), and Grandmaster Luke from Legends, the most powerful Jedi ever (although even he couldn't defeat Palpatine on his own).
"Only Palpatine has been able to spread his darkness completely and totally over an entire galaxy. What has proven to be the lasting genius of Palpatine as Emperor is his devotion to collecting all the knowledge of the Dark Side that he can, as well as what Light Side information he can corrupt and preserve. He is no more altruistic than any other, but his newfound immortality has given him the patience that all before him have lacked."
Jimmy De Santa save* And what are you talking about? This takes place before New Hope If Palpatine dies in this it would ruin canon It has nothing to do with the ending of Return of The Jedi
It wouldn't be fitting because Leia was on the ship, so pretty sure she was dead in this ending. On the DLC, Starkiller also turned Luke to the dark side to become a secret apprentice like how he was to Vader. So the good ending is more fitting, where Starkiller died and saved the rebellion.
Yeah, like maybe when you choose the Dark Ending you maybe unlocked (either a small mini-campaign or a full campaign) where you now serve Sidious as his apprentice. We got two bonus missions on Tatooine and Hoth...but those missions honestly don't make sense storywise because the bad ending shows that Bail died (and I pressume the other senators as well) so how is there a rebellion?
Same. Sadly, this is just how it works. There's no joining because at the end of the day, the Emperor will still look at you as a disposable tool. Once he finds a stronger tool, he will toss you away like trash.
0:14 rekt. Bit stupid how you can't stop him from turning on the emperor, a better dark side ending would have been if you actually could side with palpatine without attacking him. Or alternatively turning on palpatine and being able to win that fight too. Becoming the only sith. Yes Galen wouldn't have gotten the exact same sith stalker armor but he'd still get a cool set of armor for being a sith lord.
The thing is that both of the endings in the game make sense for the story. It makes sense for Galen to try to kill Vader. It also makes sense for him ti put aside his hatred and try to save Koda. It does not make sense at all for him to try to kill Koda and join the Emperor, even when he was with Vader he was brought up to hate and fear the Emperor. Yeah joining him would be cool, but it wouldnt make sense for the story.
Enclave Trooper plus as it shows in the Lightside ending the entire fight with Palpatine didn't weaken him at all, the Emperor was much more powerful than Galen as we can see him kick Marek's ass very quickly in the Darkside ending.
"Palpatine has spent decades studying the most arcane and esoteric Jedi disciplines. It is believed that he has mastered nearly all the known powers, previously unknown powers, and devises new ones at his pleasure" “[The Galactic Emperor] had succeeded where all others failed in taming the Dark Side. He would journey across the universe, spreading the shadow of his rule, blotting out the stars themselves, and taking his Dark Rule to other helpless galaxies.”-- The Dark Empire Sourcebook.
In the film Vader dies like a minute after Luke takes of his helmet, in this he gets up and gets slapped about with a lightsaber and all the rest of it. Wtf?
Vader can be fine without the suit for sometime, he was using the darkside to sustain himself and when he let go of the darkside he could not longer sustain himself.
I honestly think they should've added a Neutral Ending. 'Cause here's what I would've done if I was Galen; *Grab Emperor Palpatine with Force Grip because he can't defend himself at the moment *Throw the Emperor either 1. out the window and into space or 2. Throw him at Vader *(Option 1) Emperor will most likely die in outer space, leaving you to fight Vader one last time and will be left with a decision after defeating him; *Rahm Kota convinces you to leave him alive and leave, or, try to turn Vader back to the Lightside. *(I won't bother with this one, you can decide it in the comments below) *(Option 2) Have to fight both Vader and Sidious at the same time *Little by little, either you start overwhelming them by adapting to them, or, you begin being overwhelm by their combined might *As Juno's ship starts coming in to rescue the Senators while the 3 are still fighting and Rahm Kota is holding off the Imperial Guards with Sidious' lightsaber and the force *Galen tries to buy enough time for their escape by stalling both the Emperor and Vader *The Senators get on the ship, but Rahm Kota stays behind to help Galen after defeating the Imperial Guards *Eventually, Kota and Galen manage to defeat both the Emperor and Vader *As they turn their backs after Kota convinces Galen to leave them, the Emperor attacks Kota with his Force Lightning *Galen starts blocking the Force Lightning *Kota falls on to the ground and then gets back up and start limping away *Vader gets up and Force Throws his Lightsaber at Galen while being occupied with blocking Palpatine's Force Lightning, impaling him in the stomach *Galen falls *Vader and the Emperor capture Rahm Kota and begin torturing him for information, eventually killing him *Both become Martyrs to the Rebels after their leaders hear that both Galen and Kota failed to stop the Emperor and Vader So, what do you guys think of this?
Windu did defeat him, but such was Sidious' prowess in the mental realm that he KNEW Anakin would come and intervene. And it was all a crucially necessary part of his plan, because Sidious had dire need of an apprentice if he was to rule, and so he had to put his life on the line as part of the gambit to break Anakin.
Let's be honest, half of you didn't know this ending was here for at least the first 2-3 years of playing this game because it's not obvious and easily missable
Yeah, Evil Starkillee has a huge chance of being part of the new canon. Never mind the fact that Evil Starkiller cant exist without killing Darth Vader before A New Hope. Duur durr dur Dee durrrr
OogaBoogaMcNi ggaJones I wouldn’t count on that since Disney would just make up a new retcon to squeeze in any legends character they want even if it doesn’t make sense.
It is very! Because you see my friends haven't really seen any other Force User use force grip but voilently. To clarify, they haven't seen them grip a vehicle and crush them with a single hand or two.
Dude, he was a brilliant mastermind. Very calculated. It doesn't mean you're the most powerful sith ever. Beaten by mace windu and if yoda and him were on a level playing field, yoda would've beaten him too.
Differences between the PS2/Wii version and the PS3/X360 version: -In the Wii/PS2 version, Kota kills two Stormtroopers after grabbing Palpatine's lightsaber before he gets attacked by him -In the Wii/PS2 version, you walk up to either the emperor or Vader to start the last part of the game. -In the Vader is fought in the same area as the emperor instead of bellow in the Wii/PS2 version -Killing Vader is part of the cutscene in the Wii/PS2 version, whereas in the Xbox 360/PS3 version, it's part of the boss fight's action time -Kota tries to convince Starkiller not to kill Vader by saying, "No!". -The emperor says that Vader was "a hallow shadow of a Sith" instead of "a broken shadow of his former self". -The way Palpatine says, "You have betrayed your master and your allies both! I knew that one day you would betray me." is different in the PS2/Wii version. -After the above line in the Wii/PS2 version, Palpatine Force pushes Starkiller instead of shooting Force lightning and then throwing him through glass. -The line, "And now, you have doomed yourself, and your friends!" was moved to when Palpatine brings down the Rogue Shadow onto Starkiller -Starkiller and Kota try to escape the room as Palpatine brings down the Rogue Shadow, but are unsuccessful and get caught in the world explosion. -in the Wii/PS2 version, the Rebel leaders definitely die when the Rogue Shadow explodes instead of offscreen by Palpatine while Starkiller fights Vader. -As the scene fades into the medical room in the PS2/Wii version, a droid says, "Initiating adrenal surge now." -The last shot of the PS2/Wii version is a third person shot of Starkiller's helmeted face as the operation begins.
@ChocolateAntFarm Except just watching the movies makes it abundantly obvious Starkiller and Luke are nowhere near the same in power. Obviously. Guys, Starkiller is a giant, throbbing travesty of a retcon created for the sole purpose of making a Jedi video-game protagonist more exciting to play. That's all there is to it.
I know this is a game, but what boggles my mind is that there is oxygen and air outside of the Emperors observatory. How is that even possible? We see Starkiller go through the glass and is still breathing then Juno comes in with the ship. By all logic, the moment that Sidious through Starkiller through widow it should have sucked everyone into the vacuum of space.
Nightmare Moon's Apprentice I think it's a great ending, he's pretty much been given a fate worse than death, really haunting(especially the droids finishing him & the scream at the end) and memorable-sad yes but still awesome
Droids using medical tools, pretty scary since they have no emotions except command, and scream, yeah kinda feel bad for the guy, and yet his armor is badarse, i feel like i wanna have it stiched to my body. And yes death may could've been a better fate than living, too.
Awesome ending in short. Something like the bad side will provide more of your likings, but in a bad setting, and the good side will be great, but not much in return, such choices that seem hard.
What he means that there is 2 endings. This ending, however, is the non-cannon ending. The cannon ending (Which is the good ending) is where you fight The Emperor instead of Darth Vader. All you have to do is go straight instead of jumping off the bridge. Hope that helped. :)
I think Sidious faked defeat, it was the way he ultimately turned Anakin to the darkside. Claiming he was to weak was prompting Anakin to stop Windu. But i do agree that he was not the most powerful Sith of all time.
1.) Sidious didn't fake defeat against Windu. 2.) He's not the most 'powerful' Sith ever. Sidious was certainly epic powerful in terms of sheer destructive ability, but he could be defeated, and he wasn't the most powerful ever. What he WAS, is probably the most brilliant manipulator of events in the history of the Sith. What was extraordinary about him was his foresight and skill at influencing and controlling events.
man, i kinda wish the sequel game would have built on either of the good endings, imagine playing as starkiller after the evil ending? where you continue to do sidious' bidding as you decide to either be his loyal pet or fight to regain some part of your humanity?
“Vader imagined the power that could be his if he crushed Palpatine and established his own rule over the Empire. But first, he would need his own apprentice. By himself, he could not hope to defeat the most powerful Sith Lord the galaxy had ever known.” (Vader: the Ultimate Guide, page 19) ”Beyond the vision of the Jedi Knights, somewhere within the darkness, the greatest master of evil ever to use Sith power bides his time.”-- The Complete Visual Dictionary.
5:33 PM 6/27/2015 I got the bad ending. Starkiller aka Apprentice is actually more powerful than Sidius and Darth Vader combined. When you get the good ending they knew. Starkiller was a boy he pulled Vaders saber out of his hands and Vader didn't know it was the boy. Luke Skywalker struggled with the X-Wing (I dont watch star wars) in the swamp (he had no idea he was a Jedi tho) and Apprentice pulled a Star destroyer out of the sky and crashed it into the planet? Starkiller/Apprentice could never join the Jedi Academy after learning the ways of the dark side like that and using it. Starkiller is banned (EXCOMMUNICATED) from joining the Jedi Temple or Jedi council whatever that was.
He wasn't more powerful than Sidious and Vader for shit. He guided a falling star destroyer not pulling it out of the sky. And everyone knows that Luke is the most powerful only because his father never reached his potential
he only guided the star destroyer. he had to jump out of the way. vader didn't expect to be disarmed, nor did he care. luke only learned about the force at the same age as the x-wing inspcident, galen trained all his life.
Actually, the whole "powerful than Sidious and Vader combined" thing was said many times and was complete BS. Vader is actually more powerful than Star Killer, he just keeps hesitating to kill him.
@CognizantCheddar Well Lucas stated that Luke is the most powerful Jedi ever, and Lucas Arts stated that Galen "Starkiller" Marek was virtually the exact same as Luke just darker, so yes they should be able to defeat Sidious since Luke did when he cloned him.
@ruinninja90 Actually, he's alive in the evil ending, becauase in the ultimate sith edtion, he does on missions for the emperor. In the 2nd one, Darth vader clones starkiller on Kamino.
@CognizantCheddar revan was the sith who could rally most under his cause. no matter what. who do you think was the most powerful of the sith, not true sith species, that has been named thus far? i think it might have been bane
@ChocolateAntFarm exactly. it took like all the force sensitive main characters to sever his control of the force storm. palpatine made a note to self after the battle: dont create hard to control rips in space time right after finishing work on new ship
@mangler117 You really did choose the dark side. He took revenge on his former master rather then protecting his current master. Now that he had second thoughts and wasn't a complete evil douche is another story. Like when Anakin killed the tusken raiders, he was going down the path.
Is it just me, or couldn't this have all gone down a lot better if Starkiller just slashed the Emperor while he's mid sentence? Like, damn why does every protagonist gotta let the antagonist talk.
I had this on Playstation 3 and trued to find where you can play as the sith version of starkiller but it didn't let me, is it only available on the Xbox 360?
i didn't do this ending because i knew it would have been something along aiding Palpatine and the vocie actor for him in this game makes me cringe every time
