I know it won't happen, but I desperately want a director's cut for Hellboy because I feel a lot of the film's problems stem from the absolute shit editing. The whole thing feels like it's playing at x2 speed to get under 2 hours, there's a lot of clips missing from the trailers, and I'm guessing a lot of interpersonal dialogue and character development scenes got cut too.
I'd love to hear you guys talk about the 2 Hellboy animated movies. I personally think the 2 animated movies are the best adaptations of the 5 total movie adaptations Hellboy has received thus far.

Say what you want, but the Kevin Costner Robin Hood was the second highest-grossing film in 1991 for a reason. If it wasn’t for Terminator 2, it would have been #1. I tried to watch Men in Tight the other week and could only get a few minutes in (it’s not funny like I thought as a kid), but rewatched POT and was super entertained. Kevin Costner is actually animated, and Alan Rickman is AWESOME.
I don't think seeing more of Vader is gonna dilute how scary and effective he is inherently. The prequel trilogy kinda already turned him into a joke and removed all of his enigma. Rogue One helped to bring back the scare factor of Vader
I tried watching the new Hellboy recently. I couldn't get past the opening. "No mortal weapon can harm me!" "Well Excalibur isn't a mortal weapon!" Or however it went, I've blanked it from my memory. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I think the main problem with lion King will be they they won't be able to show the characters full expressions and emotions looking like real animals 🤔 not sure about this remake at all
I have a feeling that Episode 9 will end up feeling really rushed. 2 years isn't enough time for a project this size. I feel like they should have extended this trilogy into four films, with episode 9 to course correct and episode 10 to give this series and characters are proper send off.
Actually there is nothing that would need a course correction. And since the script was finished before The Last Jedi was released, I doubt there will be major retcons (especially since Kennedy confirmed that Palpy was planned for a long time in IX). Fan-Service for sure, but I hope and think it will build on what VIII did for the characters.
Hellboy looked like he's about to take the Hobbits to Isengard. It did not look right, Hellboy is supposed to have a quirky innocence to him, and it was missing from the character.
