Sven Hallauer it would be scary as fuck to see a massive swarm of these things pouring out of a star destroyer, and the hyena bombers make a whining noise when coming in for an attack run, kind of like the Stuka.

In the book about Mace Window say that the Republic thought about using droids against anti piracy but was dropped due to their "stupidity". In the book stole a maned gunship and destroy droids until the droids tag that kind of gunship as foe decimating the gunship fleet (the only fleet) of that planet.

They are more effecient but lack any higher functioning thinking skils/creativity.In other words they don't understand context and can't get any better. You can't outskill it but you can outsmart it

After the clone wars, military droids were feared by most of the civilians of the galaxy and their use was drastically cut back. It's kinda like how after WW1 the world saw how deadly chemical weapons were and severely limited their use.

The t-70 is just a light overhaul of the t-65, the resurgent looks cool yes but lore wise makes no sense, it is stated to have 20,000 turbo lasers, the malevolence which was a super weapon feared for having a ridiculous amount of turbo lasers had 500

still i see them utterly heavily relying on droids...its like if 99.9% of their forces were droids.. i miss seeing the other side of the conflict.. Clone Wars showed us a bit of that..about the people on the other side..but on the front we barelly saw some generals and admirals ..

Actually it's called the Belbullab 24, and it's a strike bomber version of the Belbullab 22.

That would require creativity and risks. The sequels were all about keeping things safe

They were also one of the most effective ways to destroy the techno union spawn ships on that map, getting into one as a clone was practically an I win move.

I think they simply didn't have the same industrial power as the Republic. The savings on not training pilots and using droids are pretty much all that kept them in the running in that war.

Avensis Astari That's largely irrelevant from an in-universe perspective. The CIS wouldn't need to be as powerful as the Republic. The Separatist' overall strategy was far less demanding than the Republic's. They could've simply consolidated their forces to defend their territory whereas the Republic was constantly forced to overextend their assets an attempt to defeat the separatist military. All the CIS had to do was launched random skirmishing rates in to Republic territories while easily defending the much smaller domain. They could have easily afforded to feel far superior starfighters than the ones they had before and during the Clone Wars. The only reason they didn't was because Palpatine was pulling the strings. From a sheer tactical perspective, the Republic would have had no help to defeat the separatists.

That's if their people were committed to the fight. In any democracy, war fatigue erodes the ability to continue the war.

Avensis Astari WAR FATIGUE?! The Separatists were losing DROIDS! The Republic was losing PEOPLE! The Separatists were fighting for FREEDOM! The Republic was fighting for CONTROL! Who do you think would give up first?! "War fatigue" is IRRELEVANT when your soldiers are MACHINES! Besides, the CIS was not a democracy. It was a Representative Confederation in a state of wartime emergency.

Those droids still cost in terms of production and deployment. Fuel, ships, even the droids themselves don't just appear out of thin air. They have to be built, maintained, powered, and all that logistical demand draws away from production for other uses. If you lost an entire tank division, but saved the crews, that's still a monumental loss because of the cost of the materiel. That's what ultimately killed Germany in WWII, it couldn't replace materiel as quickly as it was losing it. You don't need coffins to break a country's will to fight, though it does help.

Im my opinion those two are the best designs to come out of the prequel era, simply because they are brutally effective and look awesome.

NJS1346 Cylon all the way. The raiders are much smarter and the Cylon hacking/ virus would tear droids to bits.

Would still like to see a collaboration between spacedock and ackardsladder since one is a gallactica fanboy and the other is a starwhores fanboy.

"like the tri droid can be programmed to a point of outmatching skilled pilots easily" I don't think this is possible. In the Star Wars universe AI is pretty trash overall, and the only droids with good AI don't have room for combat systems. In addition all the very skilled pilots in Star Wars are force sensitive to a point. Maybe not enough to be a Jedi or something but enough to have a gut sense about what's going to happen next.

+SendarSlayer They do have self aware AI so I would say it's not trashy. I think that the pilots are just that good and the fact that SW tech is heavly reliant on the user (that way skill shines out more and you can't necessarily hack your way to victory) and as such more demanding on the AI to pilot. Like I said if you try to outskill AI you're probably gonna lose. Get creative and be an ace then you have salvage for days

Solo was not a great movie. It was good, it had fun moments, but it was so predictable. Also the fuck is Last Jedi "better than 90% of most movies."

Unfortunately, the Last Jedi is a shame to Star Wars movies. The storyline basically can not survive a careful criticism. Both sides made elementary battle mistakes (e.g. Holdo keeping everything secret until way too late, the First Order using an improperly designed ship, etc). Canto Bight was pointless. Don't even get me started on the failures known as the Siege Dreadnought (I don't call it the Mandator 4 since it's a shame to all Kuat Drive Yards ships). That thing is the opposite of a reasonable warship. If you disagree, I respect that. But I maintain my opinion.

But Tri Fighters are more Interceptors. They are excellent against other Fighters/Bombers but bad against larger Ships or ground Targets. Vulture Droid is more like an multirole Jet.

TheDarkWolf86 I would say because operating in the vacuum of space wouldn't be good for the droids. Even if possible for them to do so it's probably cheaper to pressurise the ship and maintain the ideal operating temperature than it would be to maintain the long term damage slowly building up due to cold and pressure damage.

They're the same people that approved of a new and improved Star Destroyer as an old ISD with a gun stapled to the front. Creativity doesn't seem to get along with them.

Alexander Volkov Well no Jedi could really stand against him in a fight except for Obi-Wan. And that's because Obi-Wan uses an extremely defence based form that allows him to withstand Greivous's attacks. And I think he seems so cautious in the cartoons is because we always see him go up against top tier Jedi. Whenever he's in a battle against normal generals he stomps them.
