***** Which version of X-Wing do you have? Do you manage to make General MIDI work at all in the game? What are you loading the soundfont into; a Windows MIDI driver (such as BASSMIDI), or a DOSBox SVN?

+Alexandre Brochu (Rookie One) I have the floppy version, so some details may differ. Have you run INSTALL.EXE and changed the Sound Card Setting to "GMIDI with SoundBlaster"? Have you setup DOSBox to output MIDI to the correct device? (Type MIXER /LISTMIDI in DOSBox to get a list of available MIDI devices, remember the number for VirtualMIDISynth, and edit that number into the midiconfig setting in dosbox.conf.) The MIDI data should go through a path like this: Game -> DOSBox -> VirtualMIDISynth The 1998 Windows release uses redbook audio instead of MIDI for music, FYI. But that should not be a problem since you said you're using the 1994 CD DOS version.

Not exactly, it's been improved since then. I'm very very busy with a real life project for the next few weeks, so really can't yet pay attention to releasing the font during that time.

A pity. You can't just upload it? If not, we certainly understand and will patiently :)
