Star Wars Toy Commercials Part 1: Kenner/Hasbro Action Figures & More (1995-2007) 

Nobody does Star Wars like The Power of the Force from Kenner! Kenner’s relaunch of the Star Wars toyline was a huge success! POTF2 was easily one of Kenner’s last great toylines.

I grew up during the Prequel Era, so a lot of these commercials, especially the Revenge of the Sith commercials are very nostalgic for me. I even had some of these toys like that Original Trilogy Collection Millennium Falcon, the Episode III Darth Vader Voice Changer, and the Episode III Ultimate Lightsaber set.

I really loved these commercials back as a kid, same goes with any other toy commercial back in that time

The Power of the Force is what got me into Star Wars 😊

I love those Star Wars toys when I was a kid. I used to have those electronic lightsabers like Luke's, Vader's and Anakin's. Those lightsabers do take me back and now I have the realistic lightsabers.

The Saga Collection action figure commercial (29:01) truly cracked me up, especially with Vader laughing like a mad scientist before passing out 😂 And well it's the Empire, Han. They NEVER play fair, especially the Sith! lol

Those last two Nickelodeon Star Wars figure commercials are both some of the weirdest & funniest Star Wars commercials I've ever seen.

I wasn't even a thought in the mind of my parents when these commercials came out. Yet I feel a sense of familiarity looking at these commercials

My childhood! So many memories! EDIT: It would've been legit if Darth Maul had Sith lightning. 19:51 EDIT 2: I wish the Clone Wars line from 2003 lasted a little longer and was more widely available. All I got from that line was the Destroyer Droid launcher, the AAT tank, and the Hailfire Droid.

I regret not getting into the Power of the Force line. It was like a second chance with some of the vehicles I didn't get during the original run.

You gotta love how the UK commercial for Power of the Force mentions Luke, Han and Chewbacca, but forgets to mention LEIA ORGANA. You know, the second most important character of the lot, the character who set the first film's events in motion and whose force sensitivity was the big twist of the second barring the obvious. Oops!

I love the POTF2 action figure line, I have almost every single wave, the commercial for the toys were awesome but as the years grew the Star Wars toy commercial sucked toward the late 2000

I actually grew up during the 70's and the original Star Wars, but when Lucas said he was going to do the Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader origin story, I was so stoked! I was 9 when Star Wars was first released. Even though I was much older, I still loved the franchise. Now there are so many fans who bash the Prequels, and while there were a few cringing moments, example....Anakin's creepy obsession with Padme Amadala. How C3PO was "built" by Anakin? That seemed like it was a forced way to get 3PO into the trilogy. And then there's Jar Jar. I was NOT one of the people who bashed the Prequels. While there were some issues, it kept the continuity of the franchise in tact. It did force a couple things but overall it was, for me anyway, a really great trilogy. Revenge of the Sith however, blew it off the charts! From the opening space battle outside of General Grevious' ship, to the rescue of the "Supreme Chancellor", to the final battle with Anakin Skywalker and Count Dooku. Anakin killed an"Unarmed" opponent. That cracked me up. Before the movie came out I found the Hardcover novel of Revenge of the Sith. I was so into this franchise I bought the book, a month or three before the movie's release. I read the entire book before the movie came out and while I absolutely loved the movie, the 📖📕Novel/Book📕📖 was a lot deeper. It really focused on the relationship between Anakin and Palpatine and how Palpatine was able to manipulate him, almost like a puppeteer. The book was able to go deeper into the how's and why's of Anakin's turn to the Dark Side. The book didn't ruin the movie for me, but it was a little bit of a letdown maybe. The final hours of Anakin's change were really detailed more in the book and when Mace Windu, Kit Fisto and the other Jedi went to arrest Darth Sidious, the book's version was much more brutal and much longer of a fight. Either way it was a brilliantly written book, and a really great addition to the Skywalker Story. The figures that followed were also pretty amazing. Some were not great. The second movie's action figures were kinda weak. Some had odd static poses. Many came with some cool accessories however so it evened out a bit. But the Revenge of the Sith figures, like the Movie was the best of the three. I have quite a few of the movie's figures, as well as some Comic 2-Packs, Star Wars Evolution 4 or 5 packs, and some other series. Star Wars was back in a HUGE WAY! I have a buddy who still believes that Jar Jar Binks was actually either a spy for the Sith, OR he was a Sith himself, using stupidity as his smoke cloud. Since it was Jar Jar who made the speech to the Senate that gave Palpatine his emergency powers. He has other Easter Eggs which add more evidence to his theory, but since the Fans were so brutal towards Jar Jar, it angered Lucas and he scrapped the whole idea. I personally see some possibilities in this theory. But overall I think he is just a goof. I did however get the Star Wars 6" Black Series Jar Jar Binks action figure. I probably have close to 700-800 figures in total. If you add my Marvel Legends from both Toy Biz & Hasbro, my Mattel DC figures, McFarlane's DC figures, G.I.Joe, a few Transformers, my NECA Horror and Hollywood Movie figures, a few SHFigurarts, and 4 Funko Pops, and a couple other Japanese imports I probably have easily hit the 1,000 mark on figures. Why? Memories I suppose. I used to love the Mego Superheroes action figures back when I was a kid growing up during the 70's. The DC & Marvel, Planet of the Apes, and others were ALWAYS on my 🎄🎅Christmas🎅🎄🎁🎁 Present🎁🎁 lists! Plus now they make some of the Superheroes I had always wanted as a kid. Doctor🐙Octopus🐙, Black Panther, Doctor Doom, ⚡Electro⚡,🦏Rhino🦏, and a few others. Now I've been able to get so many of the Superheroes I had always wanted as a kid. The memories that both, the movies, and the toys have had with me are so special and bring back wonderful times and moments.

I wish commercials like these were still airing on tv. I would be convinced if they made toy commercials again. Nobody wants to see "InSuRaNcE ApP" or "I gOt mY mOnEy bAcK fRoM tHiS" type of crap commercial. Its nothin but crap. Crap crap crap! I love these commercials it gets kids to get into buying these toys. But nowadays oh my gosh its not like how it used to be. I wish these toy companies would stop sitting on their Ass and get up and get marketing advertising like this again. Toys are not for collectors only. Their for the children too. I don't buy into that stupid saying "Toys arent for kids" quote. Thats dumb. Really dumb. Toys were made for younger generations, they were dezigned to pave their imabination from their brains like it had with me. These tablets and phones and screens.. really boring. There aint sh#t to do. Just messes up your brain and your eyes. I hate digital age stuff. I miss the old times. The days when kids were out there. Now its just a time with nothing but digital crap. Online retailing is not any better either. It makes things difficult to get the things you want to buy.
