I can see it happening, but they'll probably work through the canon movies and television shows first. We'll probably see multi-era comic and novel characters peppered in here and there too. I am very hopeful for an entire High Republic set though.

This was exactly my question as well

My bet is no, while not playable, they never leave the play area. That's like the difference in games between playing/dropping. You are not playing the captured cards on your side, they are simply returning to their area.

@@Satelesentinels They do leave play. One of the questions asked was if they leave play to trigger Boba Fetts ability, which they said yes. I do agree that I doubt on play effects would trigger again, but I'd assume effects like Falcon coming into play untapped or if there are eventually units with "when a unit enters play" would trigger.

Ambush definitely wont trigger cost its a "when played" ability. Rescuing is not re-playing the card. But the falcon 'comes into play' might be confusing. This is what I've been saying for a long time now. FFG should start using "leaves arena" than "leaves play". A captured unit leaves the arena but still in play so the "leaves play" and "enters play" should not trigger. If that's their intention. The same way when a leader unit (particularly Mando) guarding a captured unit was defeated, the captured unit will be released though technically Mando didnt left play, only left the arena.

This game allows looking at you’re resources already

we are allowed to look at resource cards anytime we like, the better question is, are we allowed to switch untapped resource with a tapped resource, thats relevant if you wanna use the smuggle ability or Lando's 'return up to 2 resource cards to hand' ability, you definitely want to return the tapped resources instead, the answer is yes, tapping resource cards is just a representation of spent resources, we may change which particular card to represent spent resource at anytime

The empty deck rule will probably apply. Which is if you go to draw a card without having a deck left, you deal 3 damage to your base.

You can’t find the answer because no one thought this would need to be answered. Given that you’re not finding a game rule for “unit attachments give the attached unit the attachments aspects” you can safely assume it doesn’t do that.

I think smuggle is fairly well Balanced, the increased cost is great for balance but most importantly the resource you put back down is random meaning you may put down key cards and pieces you need essentially By accident, smuggling can be a give and take of value that it determined by how consistent your deck is or thematically how much you’re willing to gamble on not hitting a piece you need accidentally to resources where you can essentially never get it back

You will still have to pay the 9 cost, along with the cost to play the smuggled card.

^^^ When a card asks you to play a card, it doesn't mean "play that card without paying its cost". You still have to pay its cost.

Yes, but cards with smuggle do not need to be smuggled. I believe the lands with morph must first be played as a land. Plus they are unknown to the opponent as a resource.

Probably because he's on a livestream to thousands of ppl who will scrutinize the details. Good on the designers for doing something like this, especially if it makes them uncomfortable - game design quality from the team is what we need them to excel at, not public speaking. Having the designers do these brings a great insight and shows their passion, so a big thank you to them all.

Wrong. The whole game doesn't stop moving forward due to a supply issue with set 1. That's ridiculous.
